Pimping out low stars, I can do that. Most of my absolute favorites are low stars anyway, the 5*s can just stay at 90, they already do their jobs well enough to not require them to get to 120. The starting NP is neat for farmers but they already do just fine without it.
I really dislike the new coin system. It's a system designed to milk their whales for even more. I think FGO should be adding alternative monetization methods like paid skins, $5 monthly sub and a SAFETY NET (Like Genshin) To make some money from more players. Instead of focusing on making lots of money from just a few players. By all means have premium things for whales. But they already have that with NP5 5 stars and limited CEs etc. And you can always make some skins super premium. The mindset behind the new systems I think is really unhealthy in the long run.
I totally agree dude. The main issue is that we honestly don't know much of what the JP fanbase is thinking outside of a few dudes here and there, who are in the know and they (the JP players) are main audience the Devs pay attention too. And for whatever reason they don't seem to want to raise complaints with current monetisation and gameplay related stuff. This anniversary was honestly worse than just being stagnant and disappointing, they took steps in a direction that doesn't bode well in the long term for the game.
I believe they said that there will be some coin you can get on event, but we don't know how much though, other than that I agree on how they slowly adding new ceiling for servant that only easily accessible by whale, the gap between f2p and whale will only widen if they continue doing these kind of shit.
I'm pretty sure that Kanou said something about events and campaings when he presented this new mechanic, possibly that the coins will be given though these methods as well. (at 1:36:00 from the OG live)
I'm actually sad that my feelings for fgo is starting to fade. Main story fights aside, the events mostly just repeat themselves. I kinda understand your feelings now Green. I've only played for a bit over 2 years but it's already feeling like this. I can't imagine how bad it would feel to be a 5 or 6-year-old player. Still love your content tho so I will stick around.
I gave up a few months ago. Yeah I know salt is inevitable in a gacha game but having no safety net or "10 pulls for guarantee summon" finally did me in.
@@mrman6035 I get that sometimes too. But for me it's not even the gacha. The gameplay over time just get too repetitive and it becomes bland. I don't have the time to do the story on multiple accounts so after im done with a main story it's just several months long of basically repeated content.
If they're going to copy and paste, I wish they would copy and paste events like setsubun but with more restrictions and gimmicks to make it challenging for veterans and give better rewards Less grinding more 200 IQ strategy focused battles and have fun ways to use under used servants Not just farming the same maps to get 3000 gold silver and bronze event currency, fighting a mediocre final boss with maybe a decent Challenge quest but like the fun is already dead at that point with all of the main story quest opening on certains days Or for something new, maybe finally put in dual NP or more interaction with certain characters or even costumes for unpopular servants as well, there's a bunch of things they could try with all of those billions they make every year. Hell, if they would stop making shitty Summer and Halloween events it'd be a mass boost Or maybe make a in game carnival phantasm event with certain game modes you can use with a variety of servants. That would be a must read and play event people would come back for

The coin system would be ok it there was a way to farm them and if the things you can use them on were cheaper. It would be nice thing to have but like this it feels like a thing for whales and btw there still isn't a safety net after 6 years still no safety net. It's actually great that FP gacha Servants can get these new "passives", the only things they require are the mats and some time to get the coins they need by pulling them in the FP gacha. It's when gacha and welfare Servants come in that the system gets some very obvious flaws, as like you said you need to be one of the greatest whales to ever exist in order to get the full potential out of a single Servant, and while getting coins through events/shops could patch it up a bit, fact remains this is so obviously targeted towards mega-whales.
Good thing I only grail 3 and 4 stars, i'll wait for 2 years to make my Taiga level 120. The system is bullshit, if not lucky enough to get NP2+ 5 star you need to get your servants to bond 10+, lol, my Morgan need to be bond 6 to unlock the passives. Let's see how much the events will give. Considering shit like Golden Fous are so rare, I imagine it'll be the same.

Coins and a reduced summon cost sounds great…. The application of it reminds me of feh pass, in which it benefits whales tremendously. 6th anniversary didn’t do much other than introduce Tamamo’s newest rival for Master’s bedroom space. It would have been nice to see daily free single pulls from the story summon implemented as a way to benefit new players. Even have the first summon on a limited banner be free(meaning without tickets like Fire Emblem Heroes or Arknights). Anniversary is very disappointing and the lack of any improvements to a pity systems is surprising considering how f2p fgo has been with low rarities and free ssr.
A cool video idea I have in my head is a top ten of the hardest/most infuriating fights in FGO. Since a lot of bosses in FGO are literally asinine to fight.

Do you think this setup would work with Iri instead of Asclepius? Good ol' gacha didn't give me even a single copy of Asclepius even when I basically did 40 summons across all of Asclepius rate ups that have been on NA so far.

You can't really judge it like that tbh. If you run both with big supports, both would one shot an hp bar anyway. Mandricardo have better loop potential but he has to rely on either support or MC to get the neccessary survival skill which MIGHT get fucked over by the game sometimes. Plus you can actually run 1 castoria with any non-arts dps and still get very good value. Bottom line, if you need constant loop, mandri is better for obvious reason. If you just need survive and kill the bitch, and you are running them with big supports anyway, either of them would be more than enough.
It's not P2W though? Is it greedy and exploitative? Yes, but that's not what pay 2 win means. It's a PvE only game that Green's 1-3* only account shows can be cleared without even summoning outside FP gacha. There's no meta beyond flex cultures.

I don't know enough about the coin system to have an opinion. A safety net might be nice - but aren't FGO's 5 star pull rates higher at 1% vs 0.6%? And it *feels* like FGO is more generous with the SQ they give out vs primogems (could be wrong since I've pretty much stopped playing Genshin as it demands too much real time attention). So a safety net would need to be pushed pretty far out.

as much as I like this..... I can't get some of those CEs.. as y'know.... their events have passed.
None of these CE effects are unique and ca easily be replaced by countless other CEs.
