Hey @fox26Houston maybe you should ask District Manager Margaret Barada and ask her about her other borderline illegal unethical behaviors while in her position.
He should put a bigger sign and every time a Starbucks employee grabs his sign or stupid things, post it online and make a police report. They won't do anything but it helps to build a case that they are trying to intimidate a legitimate business owner.
That coward ordered an employee to remove a perfectly legal sign and walk it over to his competition in an attempt to intimidate him. He wanted to vandalize his neighbor's property and send a message, so he ordered someone else to do it. What an embarrassment for Starbucks. They are now placing blame on competition for having made the mistake of building way too many stores. Starbucks is not a real coffee place and has never been. Has anybody ever seen a coffee roaster (or a coffee bean grinder) in any Starbucks? It's all grounded coffee come in vacuum seal bags.
Actually not true. Starbucks coffee comes pre-roasted, but not pre-ground; their proprietary espresso machines have a built-in grinder and tamper--the grounds are deposited into containers for composting underneath the machines. You can actually bring in your own bag of starbucks-branded coffee beans and they'll grind it for you (there are coffee grinders, usually by a sink). Source: worked there in 2022
I’ll go where ever I want. The district manager doesn’t represent all Starbucks. Some times people make bad choices, it doesn’t mean the corporation is bad. I doubt Starbucks corporate would condone removing a sign and walking over to a competitor to tell them things not to do that they have no control over.

Just Add Coffee in Taylorsville, UT made the news in 2007 with a shirt that the local big religious organization didn't like. We visited and picked up the 2.0 version of the shirt, and when we asked about the wi-fi password, they smiled and told us that it was a four letter word beginning with F- and the name of the coffee shop that had moved in next door, with a green mermaid on their logo. The problem is that Starbucks is like 7elevn, at every corner. But if I have an option and there is a mom & pop across street, then that is always going to be my #1 choice.
