My mom was the first child my grandparents had. My granddad was posted overseas in 1964 by the army when my grandma was 1 months pregnant with my mom. When she was finally born he got a letter from her telling him that they have a daughter. Once my grandmother healed up, she and my granddad had to wait for hours to secure a phone so they could finally talk. Then later grandma took my mom to the photographers so they could get her picture taken and sent to my granddad in another letter. My grandfather would tell me that over the next few months he'd reread those 2 letters, look at the photo and count the days till he'd finally meet my mom. Its great that technology these days has allowed this man to see his daughter more easily than earlier generations of soldiers did.
Omg. My heart... this guy is quite the man! What an amazing father he is. Gorgeous family. Thank you for your sacrifices and working for our country! ❤🤍💙
Being a military spouse is one of the hardest jobs a person can have. Being both mother and father to a child, many times having the husband on a ship or out of the country when the wife is pregnant. Sometimes having to drive yourself to the hospital to have the baby by yourself and the taking care of the baby by yourself. Remember, mom (grandma) or sister may be clear across the country from where they have been stationed and can’t come to be there for the birth and stay afterwards for a week or two. Hopefully the mom-to-be has made some friends who can help.
Especially if you're a military spouse in an unstable country. My grandpa was a soldier and my country had just got its independence back then, it was so busy and tense. But my grandma was and is a strong woman, she can bear getting left alone at home a lot, she had no complain when her husband's job made her move house a lot of times. Sometimes my grandpa can't even accompany her doing it and my grandma had to bring her children along by herself. My grandma was reminisce how difficult it was. Watching over my eldest aunt, dad, third aunt, fourth aunt, whilst holding my fifth aunt and being pregnant with my sixth uncle. To this day I felt nothing but deep respect and love for my grandma.
It was touchingly beautiful to see the emotion leading up to the magical reunion of this family bonded by the depth and strength of their love for each other. Their adorable baby girl got to feel the loving touch of her father for the first time, to feel his kisses and hugs, and hear his words of comfort, love and adoration. Their joyous reunion will forever be remembered. Thank you so very much for this very special video of these three very special people, especially the lady that holds it all together for her beautiful family.
My dad was in the Army and was stationed in Korea, this was in the 60's. I was 6-7 months old when he first seen me. Unfortunately we were never able to bond like father and daughter should.
Well done Son, crying in that situation is perfectly OK. I know you would have rather been there with your wife while she was giving birth to your daughter, but military life must go on.. Also thank you for your Service young man. You will have plenty of wonderful years with your little one after you get out. Well at least until she reaches puberty and tries your patience.
First of all CONGRATS dad. And what a gorgeous little angel 👼. And mom you as well life has just begun. And boy it's wonderful. I myself have 3 fully grown children. And now I am a Proud Granma of a 2 yr old and before the end of the year God has blessed me with 3 more to come. I love it. FELICIDADES Padres.🙏

Oh, love.. I'm so sorry.. would you care to explain ??? My father passed away unexpectedly when I was 18, exactly 1 month after I had my first son. It's a long long story but I'm here if you want to talk.. maybe we could share our experiences💝 Almost 10 years later && I still miss him every. single. day.💔😭💞
