impulse and skizz have almost the same hand gestures so much and with the both wearing black and tango in the middle in red they are symmetrical and its SO SATISFYING
Talking about DnD, you guys could simply do a lvl 3 One-Shot. That means 1 complete & standalone adventure in 1 session. This gives Imp & Skizz a taste for the game & Tango can see how he copes with public DMing, all while making no long-term commitment at all. To make it easier, there are lits of prewritten oneshots, and I believe Tango ran a very fun one (Wild Sheep Chase) already for his son, so he already has experience with that one
I do hope Tango comes around and intro Imp and Skizz to the world of DnD, but I do understand his worries. Protecc the Tango LoL. xD Also just realized... so Tango IS a DM even outside of DO? noice.
47:45 - "Does this matter?" "Yeah you gotta get your stamina back for the next fight" I was legit like "What? That's a thing? I never heard about that..."
This stream was so much fun. Watching the AZ Trio turn into teenagers again put the biggest smile on my face. I hope you guys keep going with this. Suggestion for future S.I.T. streams: Maybe make the game capture a bit smaller and then put your cam either above or below the game. Let's face it, these retro game resolutions doesn't really need fullscreen and you won't need to worry about covering the game with your faces.
Tango's right, the "feedback" in the comments for a D&D DM is often very rough. He should only DM in public if he is certain he wants to. Please don't let any comments he might have convince/guilt him into doing it unless he's 100% ready. This was such a great stream, it's good to see people just having fun!
OK, watching you guys stream a multiplayer game (like Phazmo) together is fun (besides the internet delay), but when you're all in the same room together it's a 100 times more enjoyable! Whatching you 3 have a great time together makes me have a great time too. I would absolutely like to see, and whatch more of this!
This was my childhood. My brother and I used to take turns, when one of us died it was the other person’s turn. Except my brother would never die. We ended up switching to time limits.
Man, I grew up with my dad's old SNES (still works to this day!) And I can FEEL the muscle memory in my hands for how to run the Mario levels. I loved this game!
I would *love* to see you guys do Dungeons & Dragons. Tango's worries are valid though, there are a lot of backseaters that will probably have things to say, but I would hope that your communities for the most part would understand that you're just trying to have fun. And you could always introduce the stream by letting people know that the intention is to hang out and have fun, not play a "perfect" game (which is not a thing that exists). It's very much intended to be a game that everyone can play how they want to. Also, most people that I've watched that stream their games pay almost no attention to chat, if they look at it at all, except for thanking people that donate at the end of the stream or during a break. So it wouldn't be weird if you just ignored chat for the sake of the stream and Tango's sanity. Especially since you guys would be learning the game. It's a lot easier to understand when you're only listening to one person explain the rules rather than thousands of people.
I honestly think Skizz would love DMing -- he's a natural storyteller and actor as is, and while yes it's nice to go into DMing knowing every single rule, it's also not necessary at all. Good DMs are there to build an experience for the players, to give them a journey and world to mess around in, which I think would really appeal to him. Plus, the reservations Tango had about DMing in a video or stream probably wouldn't phase Skizz at all
2:27:35 - 2:28:30 I need to know why no one is talking about this moment here. Just three grown men caressing and whispering sweet nothings to an NES, trying to encourage the game to work XD I had to rewatch this like 4 times, it had me in tears with laughter! This was such a chill stream to watch, I always enjoy the energy around couch streams. It's the best of gaming with friends and a podcast vibe all rolled into one, it's just all around relaxing and enjoyable to watch and listen to. Hope to see you guys do more couch streams like this in the future!
In the start, The immediate thing I noticed was how the mario screen was made with extra lines for CRT fuzziness. Gods that's such a good lil detail in old games Also the lil hug/pass at 2:34:25 :P
The "Birthday You-Yo" singing made me smile so big. Does the original singer (I forget, someone's niece?) know how that clip has been enjoyed by so many birthday-havers? :D
That stream was so much fun to watch. I hope you guys do pictunary or something similar some time. Maybe bring in Mrs. Tango as a 4th she has the best laugh ever.
This stream was so much fun. Not only the nostalgia and memories of playing these games but seeing your friendship and interactions irl is what the world needs! I hope you keep it up in what ever formats you enjoy ❤️
Oh man, my childhood! I had Blades of Steel, all the Marios, Punch Out and Contra out of those. This takes me back to my ten year old self. My NES came in a bundle with a Power Pad and the game Track Meet...or something like that, where you'd run on this pad, plus Mario and Duck Hunt. Fun times.
Fantastic! I remember all of a sudden what it was like to be seven? eight? spending hours diligently dying on the fifth level of Mario on my friend's NES.
Thanks for the run down memory lane, I hope this becomes a more regular thing. I played most of those growing up as a kid. I'd enjoy watching SNES and Genesis as well. Genesis had the best hockey games too NHL 95 or NHL 96 are the best ones ever.
Watching you play Contra was so much fun. And yes, you can easily beat it with just the 4 lives: there is ALWAYS a spot or 2 in all the boss fights where you can stand and just not get hit. My brother and I beat Contra and SuperC hundreds of times.
@impulsesv2 Duck Tales, Chip n Dale Rescue Rangers, Here is an obscure one... 7up dot. Remember that one? :P You could see it in your faces. You were right there again like a time warp. Such a joy to watch. I was screaming and laughing right along with you...the memories.
This is my childhood in a nutshell. My mom saved all her old Consoles (NES, SNES, NES64, Sega Genesis, and Atari 2600 with all the console add ons and 100’s of games across all the consoles) so I enjoyed playing a lot of games available but the most notable ones being all the Mario games, Spy vs Spy, Duck Hunt, and Paperboy all of which I primarily played with my Cousins whenever they would come over.
This stream hits me right in the heart with some kind of weird phantom nostalgia despite not ever playing any of these games...reminds me of playing Animal Crossing NL with my friends :) Fuzzy feelings ❤
Dragon warrior was the game I spent the most time on for the NES. It’s sort of like Zelda for those who haven’t played before. Enjoyed watching you guys play the retro games!
I love this!!! I still have my NES, Super NES, and N64 hooked up next to my gaming PC, and unlike Impulse, it is my original console from the 80's! Great episode guys!!!!
Idk if they’ve been mentioned but PAPERBOY, by far the best NES game but STREET FIGHTER was right up there too!❤ Love this, I hope you guys keep it as a series.
I can’t believe you guys played blades of steel!! That is my favorite game of all time!! My favorite streamers and youtubers playing my favorite games!!!
The talk about muscle memory and remember the ride home with a new game reading the booklet made me remember a funny incident last year. I watched the trailer for the digital release of Mr Gimmick and as soon as I heard the music I was instantly teleported back to 1992 and clearly remembered how we picked up the game at the store. Then picked up my sister at the driving school and went home to play the new game. I have terrible memory but hearing that music made me remember that day and how the game traumatized me as a kid, NES was known for the difficult games and Mr Gimmick was one of the big baddies.
Thank you all for letting me remember my childhood of watching my baby brother play! He saved as a first grader to buy his first console system, Nintendo, at $1.50 a week allowance.
Love the retro games. Would you three be interested in a classic game challenge? Beat Super Mario 64 and get all 120 stars. Every death you swap players and if you get a star you swap players. I think this would be an awesome special or long stream at some point if you guys make the retro game stuff a regular thing.
So my husband and I were both excited to see this. My hubby grew up playing on Nintendo. He still owns every Nintendo console (yes they still work) and we were having fun relating to the pains of cartridges and slippery, laggy controls. My hubby requests maybe you guys play Super Nintendo or Nintendo 64 as those were his favorites growing up.
2:07:06 - "Did you say Kung Fu?" That is a great game. You have to fight through a fortress, 5 floors filled with purple-shirted balding guys who want to give you a hug. Seriously though it's a good time.
Golgo 13!! Kid Icarus! A trick I learned was to hold reset and slide the cartridge side to side with your right thumb, releasing reset when you go to one side. If that didn't work, repeat in the other direction.
If Tango likes top-down exploration games, he might like a game called Crystalis by SNK. It is similar to OG Zelda but instead of focusing on puzzles, it focuses more on RPG elements. There are many different NPCs to speak to and complete missions for as you gather different items and spells. It is very linier however, and a little level grindy, but is definitely one my favorite NES games. It also has an actual save function with two separate save files.
ik they're probably REALLY busy, from yk just coming back from the gamer outreach. Just started uploading videos from being gone, and Skizz plate is probably filled rn having to work and juggle content producing/ editing. But I do hope we get more of this maybe it could be a Friday night stream irl or maybe when they break for Season 11 Hermitcraft. I just love this trio together so much!
Nintendo games and no Kirby in the pile, for shame! Kidding, of course, but if you ever come by a cartridge for it I do recommend. Old school NES stuff is great. Great to see you three chilling
If you ever play Sonic the Hedgehog on Sega Genesis, know that there is a cheat code to skip to any level right at the opening screen (up, down, left right, hold A and press start). Also, whenever I played Golden Eye with my friends in college, we always played "license to kill" mode. It was always funny when someone was unable to take down another player with a gun being taken out himself with a slap.
you push it all the way in and on the left hand corner give it a little nudge to the right it's a flaw with the chip alignment :P tip for next game night it's the same for the snes as well :D
impulse and skizz have almost the same hand gestures so much and with the both wearing black and tango in the middle in red they are symmetrical and its SO SATISFYING
Omg thank you for pointing that out

I ran Wild Sheep Chase as my first time DMing and it was super fun! would love to see these guys take it on!

Lmao, I excitedly called my kids in to watch this with me and get told "this is old" 😂 oof right in the childhood
Awwwe noo! 😭

It's nice to see Tango out of the Dungeon for a change, as much as I am loving all the DO content.
You guys are awesome, good company, retro fun, top end conversation and proof of a deep friendship between you. More of this please. 😅
I would *love* to see you guys do Dungeons & Dragons. Very true, I second this!
This is such great content, brings me back to the days of game night ~5 years ago with Tango Impulse Skizz and Zedaph!!
What I've learned from this is that Tango and i have similar impulses to get closer to the screen the more invested in a game we are.
48:14 this took me back, getting trolled by my friends who knew the game better then me! This had me rolling!!
as a fellow "grew up with a PC" person, I would love to see you all do a session with some of Tango's childhood PC games
In the start, The immediate thing I noticed was how the mario screen was made with extra lines for CRT fuzziness.
Gods that's such a good lil detail in old games
Also the lil hug/pass at 2:34:25 :P
I was waiting for someone's mom to walk in and yell "KEEP IT DOWN IN HERE!!!"
This needs to be a monthly thing….
They said they would try making it a 2x a month thing
@@EPICGRIMREAPEReven better
Y'all should call these streams "S.I.T. and Play!"
Skizz screaming gives me life, I love this video so much
The "Birthday You-Yo" singing made me smile so big. Does the original singer (I forget, someone's niece?) know how that clip has been enjoyed by so many birthday-havers? :D
Skizz' niece.
This brought back so many early 90s memories. Especially the interactions and controller passing. Thanks for this.
I love retro games and seeing my favourite content creator do then is so cool ❤❤❤
That stream was so much fun to watch. I hope you guys do pictunary or something similar some time. Maybe bring in Mrs. Tango as a 4th she has the best laugh ever.
super fun watching you all play these gems together!
Dug the irl stream last night. Would l love to see this expand to more thing. Maybe a board game night or something like that.
Wow this brings back so many memories, so fun to watch you guys play ty
This is my weekends as a kid. Like down to the banter haha
This stream was so much fun. Not only the nostalgia and memories of playing these games but seeing your friendship and interactions irl is what the world needs! I hope you keep it up in what ever formats you enjoy ❤️
HILARIOUS! I love when you guys scream whenever some unexpected things happened xD
The noises alone that they make makes this an awesome video.
Fun times.
Listening to you guys is even better than watching you guys playing, and that's saying something because the nostalgia and game play was fantastic
Fantastic! I remember all of a sudden what it was like to be seven? eight? spending hours diligently dying on the fifth level of Mario on my friend's NES.
This was so much fun- the chemistry, the nostalgia, the competition. Honestly, would watch (will watch!) as many of these streams as y’all want to do!
Thanks for the run down memory lane, I hope this becomes a more regular thing. I played most of those growing up as a kid. I'd enjoy watching SNES and Genesis as well. Genesis had the best hockey games too NHL 95 or NHL 96 are the best ones ever.

You could see it in your faces. You were right there again like a time warp. Such a joy to watch. I was screaming and laughing right along with you...the memories.
Lmao I tried playing Mario last night with my cousin, I feel less bad at being bad at it now 😂😂😂 much love y'all
I played Adventures of Lolo so much! and not sure how many sequels but we had one of them at least.
Love watching old men play games from there 20's lol
This is my childhood in a nutshell. Man, I loved playing Blades of Steel when I was a kid, even the Gradius minigame.
You 3 are amazing togther, love the energy!
This was Amazing... Would really enjoy seeing you guys play some board games or D and D or more retro games...
Love it! FYI setting your TV to gaming mode will reduce the input latency/lag. It's mandatory for me to play my NES on a modern TV.
Dragon warrior was the game I spent the most time on for the NES. It’s sort of like Zelda for those who haven’t played before. Enjoyed watching you guys play the retro games!
Just some friends having fun playing some old games from when they were kids... cant wait for next Couch Stream!!!
Flashing lights warning 1:37:50 - 1:38:00 and 2:19:00 - 2:28:15 !
Thank you :D
I just love seeing you 3 together. So much fun. Would love D and D night! Keep it up…every other Friday!!!!!!
For a board game/card game suggestion I would say play Taco Cat Goat Cheese Pizza. Super fun and everyone will be dying of laughter by the end.
I love this!!! I still have my NES, Super NES, and N64 hooked up next to my gaming PC, and unlike Impulse, it is my original console from the 80's! Great episode guys!!!!

Maximum kudos for getting the Game to work! The struggle was real but worth the effort!
The talk about muscle memory and remember the ride home with a new game reading the booklet made me remember a funny incident last year.

I have terrible memory but hearing that music made me remember that day and how the game traumatized me as a kid, NES was known for the difficult games and Mr Gimmick was one of the big baddies.
As a younger person who regularly plays older games, the biggest "Oh wow, that's old" moment was seeing the Aral sea on the Top Gun map.
Thank you all for letting me remember my childhood of watching my baby brother play! He saved as a first grader to buy his first console system, Nintendo, at $1.50 a week allowance.

2:07:06 - "Did you say Kung Fu?"

This looked like so much fun, I hope more of these streams happen.
😅I can't imagine how your parent dealt with the noise you guys made when playing console games.😂 Loved this! brings back loads of memories ❤
Holy cow, the flashback feels. Seriously great stream fellas. Hope to catch it live next time.
If Tango likes top-down exploration games, he might like a game called Crystalis by SNK. It is similar to OG Zelda but instead of focusing on puzzles, it focuses more on RPG elements. LOVE THIS! The nostalgia!!!!
Such a fun stream! Hoping i can catch the next one because the vibes are incredible
Ah, the days when you had to blow into the cartridges to get the games to play @u@
Favorite games were "Maniac Mansion" and "Spy Vs. Spy."
omg... so nostalgic... I recognize that rage quit! I hated the lack of checkpoints!
I loved this! More of this and boardgames!
I still have one as well
Before I start watching, this is such a good idea! Looking forward to it.
God I loved Contra so much. Great to see you guys playing it again!
Please guys, get the 4 player adapter and Gauntlet 1 or 2, or both? That would just be chaotic fun and I would love to see it!
This was so amazing! I love the couch concept. Love this so much!
just gotta say we would all adore that dnd with tango
I still have my super Nintendo and my old PS1 from when I was a kid.
This is awesome!! There are so many amazing retro games
When you change to SNES please play F -Zero...my favourite
As far as board games go, would love to see them play Clank, as Tango has mentioned it a few times as the inspiration for decked out 2.
Nintendo games and no Kirby in the pile, for shame!
Kidding, of course, but if you ever come by a cartridge for it I do recommend. Old school NES stuff is great. Great to see you three chilling
Skizz should definitely DM, and I recommend Matthew Colville's Running the game videos to get him started!
😂😂 What the truck....great reaction
1:46:58
In which Skizz is so annoyed, he pronounces "stupid" the way a Brit would (you been hanging out with Zed lately dude? Lol)
I literally fist pumped the air when Spy Hunter worked!
absolutely love this!!!
Omg yes more of this please!!
you push it all the way in and on the left hand corner give it a little nudge to the right it's a flaw with the chip alignment :P tip for next game night it's the same for the snes as well :D
You should do a monthly "Silly Games" get together. Awesome stuff guys, love it 🙂👍
My 10-13yr self is screaming at tango 😂😂😂 gosh anyways this was so nice to have a nostalgic time warp 😮 enjoy it guys
