    I love the stealthy look of the meteorite version, gives me some classic SKX007 vibes. A 28800bph movement is a nice plus as well over a nh35. Hope to get my hands on one of these, i think meteorite will be the most popular , even more than the Damascus.

    Appreciated the in-depth look at this watch and all the info you dumped on us! 😉
    One of my favorite features of this video was the outdoor takes. Absolutely loved that. I subbed and hit the bell!
    I seriously wish more watch reviews would get outdoor shots, because studio/indoor lighting is very different from person to person, often too harsh; outdoors is pretty much the best standard to compare what a watch really looks like.
    I've never had/seen a meteorite dial, and unfortunately, most videos showing them, don't make them justice. Yours did! A meteorite is in my must-have list now.

I have a swordfish with a bund strap, and the bund is imprinted with the spring bar quick release, and the swordfish emboss. But the meteorite though. It's from outer space...I Googled it. Burgundy, while beautiful, is not from outer space...Googled that too. Damn it. Thank you for another excellent and very informative review. In the side-shots the case finishing appears coarser/duller than the satin finish on the steel models. Can you confirm or maybe just lighting?

    • @JonathanTReviews
      @JonathanTReviews 3 года назад +4

      My pleasure! Thanks for watching. I just gave them another look. I'd say the case side does look more dull and with slightly more obvious brush lines (this is common of titanium in my experience). The brushing is also vertical, unlike the SS which is horizontal, which I think makes that aspect seem more dramatic. I hope this helps. Cheers

    Excellent review as always. Does the surface coating to harden it to 1200 Vickers make it darker or just a clearcoat?

    • @JonathanTReviews
      @JonathanTReviews 3 года назад +1

      Thank you so much! Great question. While I can't say definitively on the coating itself, I'd say the end color is somewhat between brushed stainless and titanium. I don't think most people would be able to easily distinguish from either by visual appearance alone (particularly without being side by side). The bracelet reads a touch more like stainless to me (finer brushing) whereas the case side reads a little more titanium (more pronounced vertical brushing). Cheers

    If you're diving Titanium, even hardened cannot handle the same punishment as regards scratching on ocean stones and coral as 316l stainless. I'm an experienced diver and use a number of dive watches including Zelos Abyss 3 A Stainless Steel, (great watch btw!)and have used hardened titanium steel from Seiko and a couple of other microbrands. If you don't dive and don't use your watch in rough conditions on land, titanium is very good and durable. But if you dive or do activities like mountaineering then stay from titanium, hardened or not. The coating doesn't last, and is only a few microns thick anyway. P.S. As soon as you see that first scratch on titanium, you can't unsee it. It still pains me when I look at my titanium divers.

As an avid watch collector, it would have been nice to add a few of theirs, but the company is just way too small and unable to create and keep in stock their 'collections'. and no, I do NOT have the time to check in every day to see when a watch will come in stock.
