I remember hearing this for the first time when it was released three years ago and I thought this band was about to really take off, kind of ironic that they haven't, considering their band name. But I've revisited this tune many times since it's release and I still think it's a superbly crafted song, both musically and lyrically. Love the Beatles influence, the melody, the descending chord progression, the piano, the crisp bass line and guitars and the tasteful vocal harmonies. Really surprised with the lack of views, they deserve a lot more because it's easily their best work.
Lyrics Maybe you’re right We’re holding on too tight It’s hard to say There’s no right or wrong way To love your child It’s rooted in denial Entangled wire and codependence Cathy come home for supper Cathy he doesn’t love you Cathy we know you’re a dreamer Your Daddy’s bad back, he needs you Tell us about that suntan Tell us all about that bruise on your arm Oh, Cathy come home This boy of yours Who throws you to the floor His car’s outside And he’s banging at our door The baby’s his And this time you’re gonna keep it Your life, your choice Your happy ending Cathy come home for supper Cathy he doesn’t love you Cathy we know you’re a dreamer Your Daddy’s bad back, he needs you Tell us about that suntan Tell us all about that bruise on your arm Oh, Cathy come home Cathy come home for supper Cathy he doesn’t love you Cathy we know you’re a dreamer So tell us about that suntan Tell us all about that bruise on your arm Oh, Cathy come home
I heard this last weekend at the Cambridge Folk Festival. I had no idea who the band or song was. So I posted on Facebook asking who. To cut a long story short, someone replied with the band's name ..... I searched, found it, and I'm happy. But can someone tell me if there's a longer version
Total Beatles influence, and I mean this as a compliment. This band has always fascinated me with their talent. Better than 90 percent of the garbage out, it amazes me they are not tops in the industry. Crazy!
Am I the only one that thinks it faded out too early?? Those beautiful harmonies at the end were the best part of the song IMO and they have Been cut out
Flyte (as it sounds) is a Chilean slang used to define urban youth of aggressive attitude who are linked to vulgar habits and crime. Just an info nobody asked for 😁
Anyone else think that this has a bit of a Beatles vibe to it? Love this!
Zailla just a copy of life on mars by David bowie
Was trying to find the "what is it", there, you got it. Absolutely.

Lyrics
Maybe you’re right
We’re holding on too tight
It’s hard to say
There’s no right or wrong way
To love your child
It’s rooted in denial
Entangled wire and codependence
Cathy come home for supper
Cathy he doesn’t love you
Cathy we know you’re a dreamer
Your Daddy’s bad back, he needs you
Tell us about that suntan
Tell us all about that bruise on your arm
Oh, Cathy come home
This boy of yours
Who throws you to the floor
His car’s outside
And he’s banging at our door
The baby’s his
And this time you’re gonna keep it
Your life, your choice
Your happy ending
Cathy come home for supper
Cathy he doesn’t love you
Cathy we know you’re a dreamer
Your Daddy’s bad back, he needs you
Tell us about that suntan
Tell us all about that bruise on your arm
Oh, Cathy come home
Cathy come home for supper
Cathy he doesn’t love you
Cathy we know you’re a dreamer
So tell us about that suntan
Tell us all about that bruise on your arm
Oh, Cathy come home

Could anyone firgure out the chords for this song? Need help!
It slightly reminded me of instant crush by daft punk
I love how weird Flyte are
Sounds like summer of 1977
Love it
I wonder if the song title has something to do with the 1966 film by Ken Loach
Think they've said in interviews that they were watching it at the time of writing- heavily influenced by it I think
@@Caitsrose48 ah so it seems. Love the stripped back version as well
sorry for being so nosy but What happened to the fourth member?
Florence Pugh bought me here
what if cathy saw this
she’d come home for sure
Still can't figure out whether it's a reference to wuthering heights or not...🤔
