Mainely Hockey Cards here, and today, let’s go over the entire series 2 Young Guns checklist. I’ve got to say, this crop of Young Guns is absolutely LOADED. I couldn’t be more excited for this crop, and needless to say, I’ll be loading up on a bunch of boxes and a bunch of these players.
I’ll be going over each Young Gun individually, as well as attaching a grade from F to A+ as my thoughts on their investment potential. Out of 50 Young Guns, I gave 12 players at least an A-, which is a new record.

Just discovered it a few days ago, and totally subscribed and have been going through your videos several per day.
But yes, one reoccuring and lingering question I have as a newbie is in regard to A) Young Guns Checklist cards, and also B) Young Guns Jumbo cards. I noticed both of those seem to be significantly less in price than the pure Young Gun card for that player, including for the "superstar-hot" young guns.
Thus, I'm starting to wonder if perhaps the lessor price point at this time is far too low, and those cards might possibly be undervalued, and might be worth a purchase, just to toss them aside in the closet, forget about it for a while, and then come back and see if the price eventually goes up?!
Not sure what your thoughts are on Young Gun Checklist and Young Gun Jumbo cards are?

Welcome to the channel, glad you’re here! I’d be happy to offer my two cents on this:
Jumbo Young Guns and checklists, historically, have not held much value UNLESS they’re graded in a gem condition, in which their value grows considerably. However, these values are still far below that of Young Guns themselves. I think a lot of it is that the checklists are usually of rookies that already have rookies within the set, so they’re not really rookies, and the jumbos are extremely hard to store, send, or even obtain in decent condition.
While I totally understand the mindset that perhaps they could be undervalued, the market has never agreed. And, I would probably stay away, unless you’re able to get a high grade copy of a checklist featuring a big name, or a high grade on one of the premier jumbos.

Dude thank you for the time and research you put into this ever since I found your channel I know what to look for in series two, got a couple Cole coffetie opc retro rookies, pulled Cole slinger young gun (from Columbus), I pulled Anton lundell both young gun and ud canvas, mason mctavish both young gun and ud canvas, my first box I bought I pulled the byfield young gun, and also pulled an opc retro rookie of the canucks rookie... this series is super stacked amd ever since I missed the mcdavid young gun and sold my Nathan mckannon auto rookie due to divorce and needing the money you have truly helped me fall back in love after a bitter taste From 6 years ago... if I could I would give you a hug thanks for your hard work and dedication

Nice! I just pulled a Raymond and Lundell in the same box earlier tonight. Didn’t know Lundell was that up on people’s lists.

Well done sir.. I really like William Eklund, Cole Sillinger! Both have very high ceilings! Alot of talent in this set
Might be worth buying a case looks like a lot of potential.
You will notice by the jersey in my pic that I might be biased, but I support your Podkolzin opinion. I thought Hoglander was going to be the power forward youngster and I haven't given up on him, but last season I saw Podkolzin take Hoglander's minutes and I think he deserved it. Maybe they can play on a line together. Or maybe Podkolzin gets Miller's spot with Petey and Beoeser on line one if Miller gets traded (I sure hope he doesn't!). He'll be fun for me and all Canucks fans to watch next season, I think.

I would rather see Nils Lundkvist than Braun out there. I totally agree with your A+ on sillinger. He started out hot and then cooled as the season wore on but doing what he did at just 18 the future is bright for him.

Probably O-Pee-Chee or MVP for Hobby! I do recommend UD Series 2 Hobby for a little more, which usually has better value than the first two

… YEAH that’s a pretty solid case!

Thanks for the info and work on the video. There is some talent in here for sure but I didn’t buy any presale to hold for the long term because I don’t see a super star in this series. I’m not impressed with what I’ve seen with byfield. I agree with your assessment on vejmelka,

Byfield is definitely is an A+, I know you see how the east coast market is but the LA kings are far more relevant than the ducks and sharks.. first team in California... with the combination of kempe, Ramsus, Moore, cal Peterson in net and more young talent on the team Mclellan will win cups with them. Honestly I also disagree with you only giving caufield an A... With Marty behind the bench the Canadians will be better... zegras is a great player and the other young talent but seems that everyone is on that mcdavid and drisaitil cool aid...
I hope you're right. I'm a big Kings fan and I didn't see much from Byfield this year. Granted he's young, but right now he's not on the same level as the elite rookies from this class.
The kid was out because he had surgery on his foot... byfield has size and speed and has a sick shot... I am kings fans to guy the scouts for the kings know what they are doing... trust me those days of a Nail yukapovi falling through the cracks into the kings organization are gone my friend.. kings should have won the series in Edmonton it went 7 games kempe is a savage... Trevor more is also a beast don’t worry my friend trust me
