    This bike is not for everyone, but also you didn’t really give yourself a chance. It takes a week or so to get comfortable with it, the controls, the weight, etc. I was the same way but then you basically wouldn’t ride anything else. I’ve had all kinds of bikes and they’re all fun but the streetglide is my all time favorite especially on long hauls.

      Yeah I’m sure after riding it for a little bit you would get used to it and love riding it. It is a very cool bike.

    Beautiful bike. I just bought a 2020 street glide in billiard burgundy. The thing rides like a dream. Upgraded from a 15 softtail... was like going from a old chevy truck to a Cadillac

    Just bought a 2019 Street Glide. Love it! You know if you have the right bike when you walk away and turn back to take one more look. That is this bike for me. Ride safe.

    They call it "Hill hold," which is part of the RDRS option, or "Reflex Defensive Rider Systems."

    I have a 2017 Street Glide special 107 and it runs as good as it gets with 7k miles so far. Harley-Davidson has done a lot in 2014 and agin in 2017 with technology upgrades but their not done.
    I think Harley should have went to 4 valves per cylinder 12 years ago, also they keep using that high maintenance chain drive primary with 3 hole oil filling which is outdated. 2020 and Harley-Davidson is still using light bulbs forcing me/others to use aftermarket companies. You don’t need a huge motor on any motorcycle to ride around and have fun and Indian motorcycles just caught Harley sleeping with their new Challenger.
    I ride Harley-Davidson because of the legacy brand but they have to keep up, I had to install a fan assisted oil cooler to cool that motor down which should be standard equipment.

    I have a Street Glide Special 2016. I love it. But I hit a deer with it and the bike is broken and so am I. It may be a while before I get it back. I think I will recover before the bike is fixed. 😕

    How are the mirrors on that thing? Not a fan of the location. Can you actually see out behind you?

    • @WoodyRides
      @WoodyRides  4 года назад

      Yeah you can see out of them pretty good. If you go with the Electra Glide standard they are mounted on the bars. So I’m sure you could move them on the street if you wanted to.

    Quick question... at the end you said your arms were getting fatigued... Just curious, what do you think caused that?

    • @WoodyRides
      @WoodyRides  4 года назад

      Mr. Nick not being used to the ergonomics, the throttle is a little heavy, and I had been riding all day long.

    We had no issues with the route after the 1 st time out. That poor bike freeway should have been in 6th gear

    • @WoodyRides
      @WoodyRides  5 лет назад

      Yeah they should have made the route the way I went on this ride. Little more highway time the way I went. How you know what gear I was in?

    • @HDR20

      Been riding harleys a long time and know the engine sound and tach position. Ride safe

    • @peterwager6938
      @peterwager6938 5 лет назад +1

      Crank it over in the turn and give it some curry, it’ll be fine.
      Try a higher gear in all the situations that you were in.
      And, if you want a heavyweight tourers, you need to accept weight, that is in reality very manageable. I did like the review though, thanks.
      N.B. Use the navigation that’s built in!
