Harry Groener is so underrated. They SHOULD have professionally filmed the full show with him for release. Why didn't they do it??? It was before I was born and I love him so much. Harry and Terrence Mann are the only musical theatre actors I care about. They both deserved much better.

If I ever meet Jodi Benson, the first thing I would say to her is "Why didn't you do more Broadway after this? Your voice was simply made for Broadway!"

I literally just found out that she got a Tony nomination for this role in _Crazy For You_ !!! I actually lived in NY when this musical was playing on Broadway and I distinctly recall walking by the Shubert Theatre and seeing all the posters. Back then I had no clue that one of the show's stars was the woman whose voice had enchanted movie audiences three years earlier in _The Little Mermaid_

I just finished reading her book. She said that she chose to focus on voice acting because the schedule was less gruelling and she wanted to prioritise her family :)

I have no idea that Jodi Benson was on Broadway back in 1992.

Long story short, it was her Broadway connection that helped her land the Little Mermaid. So, here, she is returning to Broadway.

There was never a public release, this is from the production's Archive
PBS did film a remount at Papermill in '99 for the great performance series. This included the original set, costumes, direction and choreography! I believe that video was posted in full on RUclips
