Genuinely curious if this would have been a big deal if he confessed immediately.

You’re 4k closer to being debt free
*Palpatine voice: _Ironic!_
Lupo has always been an ego maniac hiding behind charity streams. Dbag fragility
Karl, just so you know, we're not _all_ rabid psychopaths drooling at the opportunity to antagonize someone. I'm not a huge fan, but I don't have any animosity towards you either.
Rickys Hot Sauce deals when?
i'm starting to think he's not even a real doctor
Pure gold
I can dig it.
He's a physician!
Since he cheated in charity chess, safe to assume he has been cheating in every other game he plays.
He’s not a real doctor?!?
I love how delicately Wolfey said "It would be really stupid to cheat" and then refused to elaborate.
Considering he has his own stalker accusing him of cheating all the time. Wolf might have experience
@DarkSymphony777 That's still going on? At what point does Verlisify get a life lmao
@breakfaith3031 yeah. He's like the energizer bunny. Keeps going and going
I'm excellent at chess, except I never understood how the knight moves. But even so, I'm not bad. But with cheating, I can beat so many more people than I would have. Why learn all the pieces when you can just get good at cheating?
@beckydoesit9331 Because you're not playing the game? At that point, just don't play.
Him calling Wolfey for sympathy after he robbed him is straight up sociopathic
Yeah, seeing him lie with such self-justification makes me wonder when else he cheated. It’s hard to believe it was his first rodeo.
Seems like he's testing the limits of what he's able to get away with. A person whose manipulation tactics are likely to keep piling up.
Wolfey's response is based af
"You cheated, bro, but you care more than I do."
Totally agree. Btw, nice profile picture, sir.
I mean he didn't realise he'd won till he made the checking move. That's a massive red flag
And then saying he "got lucky" as if chess is even remotely close to a luck based game...
To be fair ive accidentally check mated before, it happens about as often as you blundering your queen, simply forgetfullness in the moment of whats on the board where
@francisbalfour1243im sure its possible to make a move intending to do one thing and not realizing the move does a lot more than you first realized, but 26 perfect moves in a row is so statistically unlikely its basically impossible
True but its never a good idea to claim victory either
Oh that bit absolutely, given there are a good 50+ possible moves each turn, making 26 perfect ones with even good knowledge of the game is a near impossibility@darkflower1729
>Cheats for no reason
>Refuses to admit it
>Admits to cheating but lies about it
>Admits to lying
>Humble brags about how much money he has
huh???
Wins court trial
Eats hot sauce
sounds just like someone i know.... Hmmmm 🤔
@minebabble who u talking about?
Humble brags lol
@HiLoMusicKarl
9:00 "Holy shit I won"? It's chess, not blackjack. Bro is a bozo lmaoo, I sure hope he doesn't pursue acting.
true but an ammeter might think they were only achieving check whilst actually getting checkmate
It’s like blackjack when I play
The whole point of chess is to think multiple moves ahead of your opponent so its automatically sus that he was so hyped up and surprised that he won.
Dead giveaway really.
Yeah, if anything makes you surprised its your opponent taking the option would wouldn't think they would take.
No Academy Award for that performance, that's for sure.
Exactly. It’s understandable that some people are not great at thinking multiple moves ahead, but those people don’t usually win the way he “did”. You win like that and it’s because you know what you’re doing. You don’t “accidentally” play that well.
@shelbykutil9743 What if you have one mouse slip after another?
Bro didn't even know it was mate until after the screen popped up lmao
"Why would I cheat against the best player... only"
You tell us. You did it.
"If you dont know what youre doing, neither will the enemy" - Son Tzo
it would make even less sense to cheat against the worst player and then not cheat against the best player
"Because you things that somehow makes you get uncaught."
@TheSuperappelflap "If you only throw in engine moves once in a while, your opponent might just abandon the game." - San Tza
It's such an easy question to answer too. Like... that's the player you need the most help against. It's that simple.
12:40 instead of celebrating before making the move, he reacts to the screen saying checkmate because he doesn't have any idea that that move was the winning move.
That's really funny
Hilarious, I absolutely LOVE cheating at chess. It's the greatest. It's hard, but if you practice you can get good at cheating. I don't really even know how all the pieces move; most of them, but not every single one. But by cheating, I don't really need to. Who cares? If anyone has a problem with it, I just tell them to get a life. Hilarious.
@beckydoesit9331 Right on
@beckydoesit9331 0/10 ragebait
@diegoandresprieto5237 I chuckled. That deserves at least half a point.
He kept saying he only played well in the one game while playing badly in all the others, not realizing that makes it more suspicious, not less.
he just got "lucky"
Exactly. It's basically admitting that he played properly against people he though he had a chance of beating but cheated as soon as he was completely outclassed
He was just briefly possessed by the spirit of Gary Kasparov. Nothing weird about that.
@CptJistuce ngl as an 1000 elo player ive played super well against a 1800 elo player and beaten him when i normally get my ass kicked. the issue is that on top of this he also would only look at his monitor during his moves when he played wolfey... he didnt do that when he played poorly. which suggests the looking to the left before each move had something to do with his success aka cheating
@cloudz4114 you ain't beating an 1800 player unless they are just messing around trying new things and not trying.
I always love the famous "I didn't do it but fine I'll admit to it if it makes everyone happy" move.
Typical Dr. House m.d.
I don't think Wolfey's response could've been better, honestly, probably guilt tripped Lupo considerably 😂
When I was 5, I asked my mom if she would buy me a plastic necklace at a gas station. She told me no, so I put it in my pocket before we left. I got away with it no problem, got home, nobody was any the wiser. I stole that necklace, dude. I stole it so good. Only problem was that I got away with it. The guilt started to eat me alive. I became so paranoid I had to unload my contraband so I buried it in the backyard.
All this to say, if I cheated to beat that dude and then he was that nice to me, the guilt may have ended my life. I couldn't handle it 😭
Perish Guilt
he should have added "only the lowest of the low cheat. I know that you are a decent person and you would not do that." :P
Yeah Wolfey's response was a class act. I can't say I would have been nearly as nice.
@VirtuelleWeltenMitKhanThat reminds me so much of the futurama episode where zoidberg breaks the bottle.
After I had lost that match i thought I was the worst player ever LOL
Nah dude I woulda folded in the first 10 moves
Much love H box
y al final no eras tan malo jaja
Hbox smashbros legend.
HGOD. Love you brother. Keep up the good fight puff king
I didn't cheat.
And if I did, it wasn't every game
And if it was, I didn't use an engine.
And if I did, that's not a big deal.
And if it is, that's not my fault.
And if it was, I didn't mean it.
And if I did, you deserved it.
it never happened by they deserved it
Core A gaming kind of display
The chess cheater's prayer
Cheaters lament.
Id rather lose to him than billy mitchel
Nothing worse than a liar that lies to lie his way out of a lie.
It’s funny how the one time he made a move without cheating he loses his queen 😂😂😂
Saying "chat, hold on I got to pull you guys up" so he can't say he was looking at chat
didn't he claim he was looking at the spot where chat normally sits out of pure muscle memory? 💀
One of the first things he tweeted is that he "couldnt help himself" from looking over at chat lol.
Could have essily been the opposite, where he was just saying "let me pull you up" to pretend they werent already there
@kissenklauer7011 Yes, but later he tweeted that he pulled moves from chat.
There really was never an argument if you play chess at a higher level or even just watch chess channels frequently it is instantly obvious when a player uses engine. Like it never mattered what his explanation was Karl described it very well with the Badabon speedrun. As obvious as that is to speedrunners or even normal Gamers as obvious was the cheating here to anyboy that even somewhat seriously engages with chess.
There is no shame in losing games if your rating is 600... So even worrying about looking bad shouldn't factor in
Egos, man. A lot of "big" names just cannot handle ever looking bad in any light.
Same reason a bunch of Hollywood actors have "no loss" clauses in their contracts, because being seen losing on-screen is bad for their image lmao.
He wanted to be seen as “guy who has no chess experience but is naturally talented and beats more experienced players”. Extremely cringe
@skeletonwar4445yep, it's what ruined that black Adam movie, the Rock refused to be seen as a villain/lose.
@gu244 Dwayne and his gd no-lose clauses lol
Is 600 high or low
I hope they take his medical license away
The ego is actually nuts. His condescending tone, coupled with him trying to gaslight the other guy on stream. Just wow
Yeah it was clearly premeditated, because he was on video. He didnt frantically type in chess cheats after he lost the queen.
Evil people like to steal others glory and then do something good afterwards to cancel out the bad. Now he's high off a ego that's invalid and he thinks he's a god because he tricked others, when other people just know to be ethical/moral players. His situation is just dumbassery all around.
If he weren't being entirely self-absorbed he'd have realized that Wolfey's just rattling off all the reasons why it's utterly pathetic for him to have cheated in the first place.
I feel confident the other guy knew. The part at 20:35 tells me he knew, but it wasn't worth it to him. You don't attack a guy with a huge community when you can't benefit from it, even if you're in the right. Not in that moment at least.
@notadre Its 100% egoing out. He coulda just took the L and fucked off explaining himself to his audience, but he REALLY, really wants to be seen as a good guy. Explains all the copious amounts of charity streams and naming himself "Dr." for his username.
8:03 "And he didn't even let the money sit in his bank account for 10 years"
I love the shade
Was that a shot at Jirard?
@SamsarasArtyes it was
@SamsarasArt Yeah!
Cold blooded. 😂
karl instead, took money away from a threatened lawsuit that actually never happened and now owes more money than jirard raised
A Tarkov player caught cheating in anything else should be a huge red flag.
I'm not familiar with that game.
What's the deal with it?
Yes! Precisely.
@andy4anlots of very blatant cheaters, ESP (being able to see players with particular items) is an especially common hack, as there are a lot of special items like cards that are expensive or lead to more expensive items
@andy4an Absurd amounts of cheating. Like probably the worst of any online game that has any anticheat system at all. Half of all players in a lobby levels of cheating.
@andy4anIt' a very hardcore first person shooter, with a VERY fast time to kill and a lot of tryhards.. and if you die other players can loot your stuff and vice versa, so you lose your equipment.
These are the elements you need to turn it into a cheating festival.
A LOT of cheaters and most of them try to hide it.
"I panicked" is such a stupid excuse like.... panicked about WHAT? it's a for-fun tournament and you don't need the money.
You know how I know he isn't good (or even understands) chess? He was surprised he got caught. I'm not great at chess, but I know enough that no one under 650 is gonna hit 100% accuracy directly after losing his Queen.
I appreciate I know less and is, probably, even worse than you when I have no idea what you're talking about.
What is 650? And what do you mean when you say about hitting 100% accuracy directly after losing a queen?
I know I'm not good because I don't even know what accuracy has to do with chess.
@NotForHire42 As someone who also knows very little about chess, I am going to assume 650 is referring to his rating in chess elo. Anything below 1000 you are essentially a novice, with grandmasters being around 2500 elo. Accuracy is just the percentage of the best possible moves taken. Essentially if a computer were to be playing from Dr. Lupo's position after he lost his queen, they would make the exact same moves, 100% of the time. Anything above 50% for someone who is a novice would be fantastic, but 100%? Its essentially ridiculously obvious Lupo was cheating to even people barely familiar with chess.
In chess your rating goes down when you win. So 600 is like super king of the earth bad ass and 1200 is normies like us who sorta know how the pieces move. The 100 percent thing is what the computer says the optimum move is, because it can see every possible board state from there into the future. So if someone like lupo, who is a 1200 rating moron, can play the perfect move 27 times in a row, when the best in the world 600 rating players can not make the perfect move 27 times across an entire tournament.
@dotseth6492higher is better
Now you have to question a lot. Because with most of these situations. It's not the first time they've cheated, it's the first time they've been caught.
great way in measuring this is how cocky they are/get leading before the catch. If its blatant, its likely they've been doing it long enough to not care. If its subtle, they're decently in it and if they're nervous then they're a newbie
I watched him years back playing Fortnite, and I suspected he was cheating enough to stop watching him for that alone.
COD: Warzone has lots of such streamers. Playing too good, looking to the left, acting cocky. Same patterns.
afaik he already had cheated and very openly so in the destiny 1 times with ximming (using mouse and keyboard on console to get the benefits of mnk with the insane aim assist and stuff like that) :p
A tarkov player who's cheating? I don't believe it.
15:40 "I'm sorry that I beat your boy" while talking to a user named 'ChessKryptonite'. They're obviously not coming from Wolfey's chat, they're from some sort of chess community, c'mon
i'm horrible at chess and it blows my mind that drlupo could think that he could explain playing well as "luck" in a game that every single move has to have intention and purpose let alone 26 in a row.
I love how his reaction was "I got lucky", like chess is RNG-based or something.
You can get lucky with chess.
@misterpinkandyellow74 sure, yeah, but this kind of "luck" is virtually impossible
@misterpinkandyellow74 Agree, but not when making your move. He was literally saying he's lucky while making last two moves, like he didn't know his own plan.
@misterpinkandyellow74 there really isn't any luck in chess either you out skill your opponent or you make a mistake
There's no way you're going to luck yourself into a strong position playing chess.
@misterpinkandyellow74 if you're super trash
Ugh listening to cheaters dig their hole after being called out is so cringy
Sort of like Karl Jobst's pathetic Discord Incel-fest.
At least he owned up to cheating after a couple of days thinking about it, so there is no doubt. No spin zone.
"i didnt lie about what billy mitchel's lawsuit is about"
Almost as bad as scamming your fans for 200k in legal fees
@maxbeancountersays you?
It's amazing how in every admission of cheating, he's still lying and being deceptive about the extent of it. Not once is he fully honest.
And for a game of chess with literally no stakes. Best case scenario is no one noticed and people think he's good at chess; and that's ultimately meaningless, considering the potential consequences. It's baffling to me.@kaiboshvanhortonsnort359
It proves that he isn't genuinely sorry. He will continue to lie to minimize what he did to the greatest extent possible
What kind of jerk would ever treat Wolfey, one of the nicest guys online, like this?
Wolfey is a cheater in Pokémon just like Lupo is in chess
@paragonoftorna2548oh so you're that dumb, lol
@paragonoftorna2548 he isnt... He disproved it multiple times with actual proof.
@paragonoftorna2548how exactly does Wolfe cheat? He’s won multiple live and in-person vgc events. There’s no guaranteed “best move” for every turn like chess
@paragonoftorna2548 k verlisify fan
The man is just incapable of telling the truth. Apologizing multiple times while still lying in the apology makes him disingenuous.
Yeah, Karl really is a dishonest grifter.
Complete sociopath and wants to make it go away with money.😂
Apart from I can guarantee that almost everybody did this at some point when having to admit to something they were ashamed of
I'm excellent at chess, except I never understood how the knight moves. But even so, I'm not bad. But with cheating, I can beat so many more people than I would have. Why learn all the pieces when you can just get good at cheating?
@beckydoesit9331”getting good with cheating” isn’t possible. As soon as you take away your unfair advantage you wont have any more skill than you had before. If you actually wanna get good at chess then review your games positioning and see why you keep losing
The call with Wolfy is so cringe. DrLupe spends most of it whining that people call him a cheater and Wolfey has to sit there in silence and only speak to agree with DrLupe
Reminds me of when one streamer got caught cheating on Counter Strike, firsts starts to talk like it is a bug and then calls her friend asking "wtf you installed on my computer?"
Wolfey is too nice.
This! The call is so strange. Like with his tweet about backing out of the event like why call you don’t have to announce your departure 😂 then he did call and exactly as you said. Wolfy just had to essentially agree with him yeah no it’s fine even if you did the dismissal. But good on Wolfy to answer that phone call. I don’t think I would have haha but I don’t have to worry about that.
That silence spoke VOLUMES lmao
@SWISS-1337 It seems listening to the call that he himself suspected that he was cheating as well but wasn't interested in putting him on trial for it. He pretty much says, if you did cheat you really did something crazy for no reason at all when we all were just trying to have fun. Wolfey wasn't too nice he just doesn't care nearly as much as DrLupe and was more interested in meeting new people and learning chess.
"AI proves I wont lose!"
I wonder who else thought this
Come on guys, Clara installed mods on his computer.
Underrated comment
Let me just text this girl
Clara strikes again 😢
Lmao
Fucking A, Clara! Lemme text her right quick. This is what happens when you let other people use your PC.
Once Tarkov was mentioned, I didn't even need the evidence to know he was a cheater lmao
Why are Tarkov streamers known to be cheaters?
@kevin25699 Its less streamer specific and more Tarkov specific. Tarkov is known to have a high population of cheaters.
@Arclightning All popular multiplayer first person plinkers are riddled with cheaters, and I wouldn't say it's not streamer specific since there is a big financial incentive for them to cheat with very little risk getting caught, and even if they get caught the laws are pretty much nonexistent or not enforced at all (despite it being severe fraud) and they don't tend to lose as many viewers either if they're already popular. You can also say that the games that have the most sophisticated anticheat, cheating streamers got an even bigger advantage since they can afford expensive tailor made cheating software resulting in less competition from cheating amateurs using vanilla software.
@YeeLeeHaw I said its *less* streamer specific and more tarkov specific.
@Arclightning Read my reply again.
5:20 There's chess cheating plug-ins, and there's chess cheating PLUG-ins
I see what you did there
ok that was funny
I'm upset that I understand this
I absolutely LOVE cheating at chess. It's the greatest. It's hard, but if you practice you can get good at cheating. I don't really even know how all the pieces move; most of them, but not every single one. But by cheating, I don't really need to. Who cares? If anyone has a problem with it, I just tell them to get a life. Hilarious.
@beckydoesit9331 girl,,,
13:21 "Hold on guys I've got to pull you guys up (on my screen)" well well, what was he looking at this entire time on his left side?
i entirely thought "well he is cheating but maybe his chat is over there" untill he said that
Me personally, if i knew I wasnt cheating I wouldn't even entertain the people accusing me. This dude turned into a defense attorney when he got called out
If you know you arent cheating, and someone accuses you of it, thats whats called a "compliment"
@TheSuperappelflap It certainly is a compliment but also can be annoying if no one actually acknowledges your skill. I play a lot of Battlefront 2 and get called a cheater almost everyday; sometimes it's funny, other times its gets kinda tiring lol.
People have accused me of cheating in online chess when I was just playing well. Once someone asked me what program I was using (he assumed I was using an engine) and I replied "Firefox" (my browser, which was the only "program" I was using at the time, LOL.
Actually, I can understand why someone who isn't cheating would be pissed if people were legitimately calling them a cheat. Imo, if you need cheats, it means you're not good at something and if you're not good at it then you have no reason to feel ashamed at losing lol it's expected. If you actually want to become good then learn & play good competition, don't cheat. However, if you're going to cheat and not disclose it because your intentions if to try and get away with it, never confess unless they can prove it with 100% facts to back it up😂
@TheSuperappelflap I hear that a lot but as someone who plays online video games and is decent at them, getting called a cheater can be scary because if enough people believe it you get banned from the server. I don't really understand psychology enough to know the right balance between brushing it off and defending oneself. It's happened to me a few times and it's the worst feeling in the world, nothing like a compliment because you are both barred from playing and your efforts and skills are invalidated by your peers. It's genuinely hurtful to me.
25:19 "It sucks that I fucked up". Translation: "It sucks that I fucked up AND GOT CAUGHT".
And then he proceeds to write a fucking essay instead of just tweeting what he really thinks: "I cheated, I'm sorry I got caught and I don't really care about the rest".
man, it is hard to watch someone lie this bad knowing the whole story
You mean Lupo or Karl?
@FuhSheezy Looking at the ratio of recent Karl's videos, I'd say you haters reaaaally need to get better 🤣
@MihaelGengso, in your head, one cannot be annoyed at having been led to, because the majority is not annoyed? Aren't you a gullible sheep? Oh yes, you're defending Karl. Of course you are.
@MihaelGeng Haters? The guy deceived his hole audience...but well, there's always be some bootlickers, throw more money at him then!
Then why are you out here on HIS videos commenting? you know that only helps him and instead makes yall look obsessive and ridiculous. Crazy. Get a positive hobby versus following someone you don't like.
@TASPLAYER1
What a liar.
"And he didn't even let the money sit in his bank account for 10 years" LOL
"You caught me, so I'll pay money. I have money." Yikes.
big yikes
I'm not defending him, but whatever, what else is he supposed to do? Streaming is still his job, and he still does have the money to spare. Let him fund a tournament. He either learns from his mistakes or he doesn't, and you'll see in time.
I feel like the only thing that would satisfy people is if he'd go find the bottom of a bridge or something.
Kinda yikes, but also better than no reparations, I guess?
@Naethdrenno I wouldn't risk the integrity of the tournament series by having it sponsored by a cheater and liar.
@Naethdren nah because then it showed that you can just buy your way out of trouble, like many rich people do all the time 💀
Bro locked in so hard after the blunder he temporairly became humankind's greatest chess player in the entire history of the game, and probably until the heat death of the universe
“I just got lucky” he says about a game that has literally zero luck involved
20:08 The difference in demeanor is extremely jarring here. You can tell he knows he's been caught, meanwhile Wolfe is just chilling.
wolf knows damn well he was cheating and is absolutely farming this guy "you kicked my ass"
I'll ignore the cheating if he never chews gum on stream again.
yea that's what i only noticed too!
lmao!
Anybody who chews chewing gum in this manner is a bad person, nothing can convince me of the opposite
@Sachiko_Zeingor Right up there with an emoji user.
@integerofdoom69 reddit is that way
Cheating is pathetic to begin with...but mocking people and trying to deny it after it is so ridiculously obvious it is that he cheated is even worse. Trash human.
Well its not the first time hes been called out for cheating in games and wont be the last.
It's a classic defense mechanism. You see this all the time with children, but also immature adults.
but it's okay if the person reported on this cheated in a game long time ago, isn't that the pot calling the kettle black?
"i just got lucky" in a brain game while you constantly are playing the best move.
Wolfey is so nice in person and him casually having the best elo in the tournament while barely playing chess. World champ difference baby!
He has a great tutor
@Moleoflands wolfey is either the 2nd or 1st most accomplished competitive pokemon player of all time depending on how much stock you put in ray rizzo being the only man to ever win more than one world championship (3 years in a row.) i'm not surprised wolfey would have the commitment to go above and beyond for this
@gairisiuil pokemon is a lot like magic, right? because a lot of top magic players are also really intelligent and doing well at poker and stuff. so this pokemon guy being good at chess wouldn't be surprising at all.
@bananajoelikesbanan in my opinion, Pokémon VGC is the closest game I’ve seen to chess because both games require you to calculate ahead and understand how future outcomes influence your current board positioning. You have to anticipate your opponent’s options and combine strategy (long-term) and tactics (short-term) to win
I think that's quite an apt comparison
cheating on stream but not banned after he admitted to it, twitch mods in a nut shell
it is ok if you don't show the tools you cheat with according to twitch
When you get compared to Badabun, you know you've made a colossal mistake.
the way he talks about chess like its not entirely strategy and skill and you can't just "get lucky" is infuriating
When people say they "got lucky" in chess, they don't mean that the outcome of their moves or the outcome of the game was dependent on luck. What they mean is they selected their move based on luck, ie they picked random moves which turn out to be good. Of course this isn't a case of that, since he cheated lol
Yeah chess is all skill, but if you have no skill, your moves are basically random. If I guess my way through a multiple choice math test, knowing zero material, and score a 90%, did I get lucky? Of course I got lucky, even though math is all logic.
Zero sympathy for cheaters.
holy moly, I don't even care that he cheated, that gum chewing (I assume) is egregious
Before watching this video I can guess how he cheated. He put a mirror behind his opponent to look at his moves
I think he marked the pieces personally.
Also before watching. I actually remember this one, he had a communication device hidden in his… never mind
@thisisagoodname5093 say it...
Nah I bet he spent millions of dollars to become the first telepath
He started on third gear or something
You don’t just “get lucky” in a chess game unless your opponent seriously blunders like this fool losing his queen. Chess is about strategy, you have to know what you’re doing.
If only he had an engine to make his IRL damage control moves for him...
ChatGPT.
@crystalwater505 hahaha "hey chatgpt please tell me how to apologize for cheating in a chess tournament as to minimize the damage to my public image and my wallet"
"I had a good couple of games." 15:55
The fact he thought this was a valid excuse shows how dumb he is. Chess isn't horse racing, where you can get lucky and guess the winning 1/10 number a few times in a row, then lose the rest of the time and no one bats an eye. The amount of possible moves you could make in chess, if you were just blind guessing, makes the statistical improbability of guessing the perfect move to make 20+ in a row astronomically high.
He had Destiny luck
@SylviaRustyFaedream?
@sp0pie928 Probs who i meant, i mixed up shite ppl
It was a good seed.
@sp0pie928 All dudes look the same to me, i probs mixed them up 😅
“This is natural, these muscles are natural. Anyone who says otherwise are just fucking lazy”
-some dude who looks like the hulk.
Lance Armstrong vibes.
The guy looked like shit his entire life, and randomly gained 20kg lean in one year while getting acne, becoming super red and still using garbage technique. It's because he does 20 pushups every morning and before bed, he angrily shouts in a voice 3 octaves lower than normal. He then proceeds to lose all of his gains in the next month.
Liver King
Dwayne Johnson
But only because Liver King was already mentioned.
Making terrible decisions post cheating accusations reflects his terrible decision making on genuine chess moves

Pikachu's fat ten gift subs will never be forgotten.
@defend_dnb its the " lets cut to Charlie see what he's saying" then the commentators faces dropping with instant regret forgetting these aren't chess pros who are respectful professionals and having to cover for it like uh yeah so um how's the weather in your area. puts me in stitches every time i rewatch it
wow, what a bottom tier human. he literally is making remarks like "oh i think i just go here" like, dude, you just played the move setting up that move, why are you surprised by this? it's ludicrous.
That's how you know he doesn't know how to play at all.
If you know how to play, even if you cheat you can see the logic behind your moves and you can play along them, but he's not paying attention at all.
I feel bad for Wolfey, he was doing so well too
…say that again.
I don't think he's a "bottom tier human," he obviously does a bunch of great stuff. But yeah, it's funny.
@innertuber4049 "He obviously does a bunch of great stuff" like cheating at a for-fun event? lmaooo
23:09 Typical RUclips apology 😑
Watching somebody constantly chewing irritates me much more than knowledge of him being a cheater.
There's that thing about some people have a thing against watching other people eat, right? Seems like watching someone play chess would be a terrible thing to do with that condition yeah since it's such a decent time commitment snacking while playing is probably really common
Death penalty.
@zTxMetafor me, seeing someone eat is fine. But chewing on gum or whatever Lupo is doing here is really annoying because it's constant.
I was about to comment that too, I was too distracted by that haha. Can't stand watching people chewing or eating on stream
Came he to say this, it’s unbearable to watch because of this.
17:35 wow I never even saw this bit. Actually so disrespectful to say “it wasn’t even good, I just played WELL.” After crushing such a stronger player like wolfey who actually did play well the whole time. Certainly played at his level at least.
5:45 showing Hans being scanned while explaining that it's to check if they have electronic devices hidden is wild 😆
I didn't recognize him immediately, but i paused the video, because of his smug look. Lol. He doesn't seem too impressed with by that guys magic wand! 😹
they are scanning in the wrong place 🤣🤣
Ana* beads.
Bzz bzz bzz🗿🍑
@Bourgit Hans Niemann beat Magnus Carlsen during a game, then Carlsen quit the tournament and kinda implied Niemann cheated. Then someone made a joke that Niemann cheated by having vibrating anal beads up his arse. Which is of course not true but everyone believed it.
This is so embarrassing to watch.
I don’t know anything about chess, but I’m pretty sure you don’t “get lucky” unless your opponent is distracted by something on their end
Or the Blunder really hard like he did when he left his queen hanging for the bishop to take.
8:39 It's better to think of Elo ratings as logarithmic so "more than double" is meaningless - the difference between 600 and 1300 is the same as the difference between 2000 and 2700. Every 400 points change the probability of winning 10-fold. 760 difference gives 1:10^(760/400) odds which means Wolfey was expected to win 98.8% of the time.
Yep. Although I think it's not quite the same odds in practice at lower ratings as weaker players also tend to have more variance in their play.
Not saying he wasn't cheating, but 600-point upsets do happen, especially if the better player is tired/drunk and the weaker player had a better night of sleep than normal, etc.
100% accuracy only happens in certain types of games if you are only 2000 elo. At 650 its more than sus.
@deltalima6703
It depends. I only hit 1000 or so elo, but I've had about 98% accuracy in a single game of 30+ moves. The opening was basic and my opponent (around 1000) made bad blunders that were easily punished. I'm still bad at the game, but if the opponent blunders bad enough, there's sometimes an obvious enough move to punish. Did they hang a knight? Only move is usually to capture for free. After that, they might have hung more easy moves that resulted in a close to 100% game. If the blunder is bad enough, especially hanging a queen, then accuracy goes out the window and most players can punish anything after that.
Pretty accurate, but for every 400 points, the expected score is 9-1, not the win probability, since that also accounts for draws.
Also since high rated players make more draws, a 1k is slightly more likely to beat a 600, then a 2k is to beat a 1.6k. Even though their expected scores are the same
@misterree Yes, those are the types of games where it happens. The problem is at 650 you cant even find hanging pieces half the time, nevermind forks and tactics.
"I dunno how it happened, man. I guess I just got lucky." Dude, it's essentially impossible for somebody who doesn't play chess to make 26 perfect moves in a row. You would literally have a better chance of flipping a coin and landing on heads 26 times in a row. It's just not gonna happen. Then to sit there and gaslight everybody who called you out on it? Absolutely f*cking insufferable.
As long as you just never admit it, there will always be people who will believe you. Its literally in the CIA handbook. Deny everything. Always. No matter how ridiculous it is. You never give up your deniability, no matter how marginal the plausibility of it.
It's essentially impossible for a grandmaster to play 26 perfect moves in a row. The reason engines are so much better is that they see millions of positions a second. Even the best humans cannot compete with that, especially in the time control used in the game.
Wolfey is a great example of the different intelligences there are. He's highly intelligent regarding mathematics and emotional maturity, but when it comes to linguistics.... My wholesome boy has a rating of 1.3k and says "like" more than a teen from the street, I love it.
True!!
I had to learn to slow tf down and pause after a single "um" to signal I wasn't done with my sentence yet so it wouldn't be broken into a dozen pieces of silence and filler words xD
What is it with professional video-game streamers with ‘Dr’ in the name and being dishonest scumbags?
He is a neonatologist.
for lupo its really out of character, hes a good dude, for doctor diddyspect we chose to ignore it when he did it
@ondrejmalek1322 drlupo been cheating since his destiny 1 days he one of content creator who popularize use of XIM on console
@ondrejmalek1322 Hasen't he been caught cheating multple times?
PHDs turn you evil
If I cheated, I wouldn't put so much focus on the people accusing me, because if I didn't cheat, I would do the same. Focusing so much on people accusing you begs investigation.
Alright, but don't do it lol
Ah thats not really fair, if you're getting accused of something, defending yourself isn't suspicious, I mean imagine taking this mentality to other places like court or something
@matth8985This is my analysis of the psychology of someone who is trying to get away with cheating. You want to bring less attention to the possibility of cheating, making the chance of an investigation lower.
@matth8985 it is suspicious. Literally. And you know that. For example a friend group sits there and someone asks who farted after smelling it.. everyone laughing and now one of the friends is extremely defensive and focuses on it so hard.. its obvious who did it then and that goes for a lot of situations. Maybe you are a very defensive person that will always defend yourself but most people dont defend themselves for things that they know they havent done and they know they dont have to prove their innocence. And same for court, cause you dont have to prove your innocence there. If you havent done anything wrong then you are safe and therefore have no need for lengthy explainations or whatever, cause the proof has to come from the accuser that a crime has been commited and they have to proof it pretty much without any reasonable doubt. The person that is being accused doesnt have to proof their innocence at all and that wouldnt even work or make sense. Now there are complicated situations where people fight and its a battle, csuse one person says something and the other says something else and the lawyers both interpret the law differently and then you have to fight to "win" but thats something else. The fact remains that overly defensiveness and focus on accusations is a very clear sign of someone having done something wrong
@AhayeahishereThis comment is a little ironic, you came at me pretty personally, and accused me of being dishonest by saying people defending themselves isn't suspicious, even though I "know that [it is suspicious]", but here is where I might defend myself! Because I wasn't dishonest, I really believe that. And idk what you're talking about not needing to defend yourself in court, you know there's a prosecution... and a defense? And really, there's no need to be so aggressive, especially right out of the gate on the first reply, even if you disagree. But bottom line, the idea that defending yourself is suspicious just kinda means any accusation would just be believed instantly, and that's obviously not good. People should be able to give their side of the story
Theres an explanation for the blunder. The notation for his opponents move before the blunder is Nxd4 (knight takes on d4). Then he proceeds to play Nxd4 himself. Very likely he mixed up the move that had been played with the move the computer was recommending.
This actually pretty accurate.
It was hilarious watching him explain the b4 sacrifice on stream. Bro has zero calculation skills.
Wow he really IS an idiot when it comes to chess lmao
??? You're expecting a 600 to read chess notation?
Based on Lupo's skill level I doubt this is what happened.
First because he doesn't look at the left monitor when Wolfie made his move to check what to do.
Second because just giving the recommended move via the notation is difficult for a newer player to understand. So they'd be making the same error multiple times in other spots.
Most chess cheat engines don't just give a text notation of where to move, they visually show what to do.
What it looked like to me is he saw the knight undefended and in his inexpensive thought Wolfie made a mistake. Forgetting that his knight was blocking the bishop. He figured the cheat engine would have told him to take the unprotected knight so he didn't think he had to confirm. His reaction of *immediately looking left* after his queen was taken suggests he was looking at what the cheat engine actually suggested but didn't follow it. So he felt extra stupid in that moment.
Not likely for multiple reasons, including the obvious one that Jobst gave in the video
I love how creator and cheater are such similar words…
He didn't realize how obvious his cheating was. To play that many top moves in a row at beginner level is ridiculous.
Chess cheating is easily detectable precisely because you have to have an incredible amount of practice to play well. He made his cheating even more apparent by losing badly in the following matches. He is too stupid to have understood this.
@TransRoofKorean Actually that's not true. Most online cheaters get caught by automated cheat detection systems that use statistical analysis to detect outliers, such as the astronomically unlikely event of making 29 top engine moves in a row.
@renx81 OH GOD SHUT UP
@renx81 Actually, sometimes that Monkey mashing on the typewriter delivers something beautiful. Still remembering that sweet, sweet 98% accuracy game on my Lichess account. Next game, I probably blundered my Queen in move 10. 🤷♂
@erik.dahlberg Obviously, in reality, cheat detection is a little more complex than what I said. With certain openings that lead to a lot of trades or a closed middle game, even a novice player can achieve a high accuracy.
@renx81Yes, I’m well aware. Read lots of interesting deep dives into this topic, related to the Niemann drama last year. I was just making a jest. But I’m always a bit scared for being auto banned, when my games suddenly hit +90 accuracy. But no false positive yet 😅
This was a masterclass in how not to cheat at a game you don’t know well. It was so egregious that even intermediate players could tell with certainty he was cheating. Beginners can’t see how absurd it looks. Several of the moves were so high level that you’d expect a lot of grandmasters to miss them. They would never even be considered by a 600 rated player.
Lmao, chess is one of the only games where "luck" is NOT a factor, at all! You don't get lucky at chess...
21:17 Wolfy hinting that he believed that cheating happened ("... even if you did...") and seeing people in the chat accurately describe how and when he cheated, I believe, got him wondering if his cheat really was that obvious to those who know the game. That's why he starts talking about speaking to the tournament organizers. 😂
Yeah, I feel like Wolfey had his suspicions by that point and was perfectly happy feeding him rope and seeing what he did with it. Wolfey's a smart guy with a good poker face.
@xthetenth Over a decade of competitive turn based games against irl people can train you for that fr.
@JayceCH. Especially pokemon as a big figure like him, where you need to kind of mislead people publically so your team doesn't leak before big tournaments giving people time to prepare for you specifically
if I rmb correctly, he and his pogchamps coach (Anna) both suspected him cheating after the game but he didn't want to be the one to call him out and just offers him benefit of the doubt, especially since Wolfe didn't know Dr Lupo had their call on stream. Afterwards when he found out he said it felt like he was being used by Dr Lupo.
@JayceCH. Yep. Also, in my experience, playing chess against a stronger opponent has a very noticeable feel to it. Their every move feels oppressive af.
For a 1300 to experience that against a 600 will of course raise some flags.
0:11 Todd Howard taught me that
just make sure you don't make buggy games
who's laughing now
This is hilarious and you made my day 😂 god bless the Oblivion Documentary.
True
he's only sorry he got caught. There's a saying, once a cheater...
He hacks in games too
always a cheater
WE WERE ON A BREAK!!!
I mean, i happen to know a gal, myself, who cheated at a browser mmorpg that i went on to actually enjoy a lot more, and even became a gamedev for a side project of theirs for s time; this bein many yrs after id cheated and after id been able to rebuild my reputation and prove that i wudnt abuse such powers in the way id done when i cheated
But thats bcuz i genuinely learned a lesson from that exp of cheatin and came to actually feel bad about it not bcuz id got caught, but bcuz i understood how my cheatin actually ruined things for others who were playin the game for their own simple enjoyment
Ivent cheated in any multiplayer video games in almost two decades, not since i did such in that browser mmorpg; but i know for a fact that such is indeed an anomaly amongst cheaters - as ive seen others cheat repeatedly as long as they thowt theyd get away with it. I learned my lesson, most dont; and i stick to cheatin in single player games again, bcuz at least there its actually increasin all the players enjoyment, not decreasin it for some at the sake of my own
@DetroitTASyeah wouldn't surprise me if he used radar in tarkov if he was willing to do this.
If this guy tells you the sky is blue, you better go outside and check.
If your winning move in a match surprises you/catches you off guard, you're probably cheating.
He really seemed surprised when he won. Like he didn't realize that move was mate.
For a lower rated player a discovered checkmate like that can actually surprise you even if youre playing legitimately it happened to me like once or twice
@DylansLapplandSimpingThat may be true, but in a game where you played Stockfish !! best moves 17 moves in a row, or whatever it was, it's weird to act like you accidentally put yourself in that position.
@machineofadreamhe got lucky ^^
@DylansLapplandSimping Yeah, but the last 2-3 moves were clearly playing for mate. Even at 600 you would recognize that you might be about to win, and get excited before the victory screen pops up.
I mean, as a lower rated player specifically, I would think the move through before making it, and realize this would be winning unless I'm missing something.
This just isn't true until you reach a certain skill level. It applies to this situation, but really isn't generalizable. Most people are only looking at how one or two of their pieces are applying pressure.
high level chess players analyze singular moves and full games all the time. Not sure how he thought he could get away with it.
12:46 there is just no way he wouldn't have known that he was going to win. He acts like it's some king of surprise. You don't "improvise" those last 3 moves.
That's a position where you either can premove mate or you can't find it at all, no in between
That clip of Charlie hitting the fools mate never gets old

Nordvpn is great tuough. The only reason I don't have it because protonvpn is even better. But for a long time when proton vpn wasn't as good as it is today, it used to be the best.

He didn't say which cheat engine he was using because it was actually riolu! giving him the instructions.
It all comes full circle.
Dr Lupo actually posted in 2015 on the Stockfish forums asking for a friend about them using it to cheat in unranked games online.
There's the riolu comment. He's cheating in every game now
@crazyflare67 in another comment I joked about dr lupo being spotted posting on the Stockfish forums in 2015 regarding how to cheat, but i don't think it was seen
That guy has already been called out by the tarkov community for a while now for his consistent behaviours
He even uses the normal cheater streamer mocking from tarkov. The whole oo i looked to my left i must be cheating i looked this way i must be cheating. I swear every cheater who streams with a webcam says this. Now drlupo is copying them XD.
He also cheated in Destiny 1 by using XIM (keyboard/mouse on console). He has quite a history of this stuff.
@maxr9409 For people who don't know what this is, it allows you to play with a keyboard and mouse. That's it. There was no rule against doing so at the time, and it was probably just his preferred way to play fps games. So this is just going out of your way to find 'dirt'.
It was incredibly dumb that he did this. I think he's streamed twice since it all went down.
But let's be clear that there's essentially no evidence that he's cheated at other games. He regularly plays with m&k in view. It appears to have been entirely an ego driven decision where he didn't want to seem dumb in front of his audience and is used to being good at games but recognized he was struggling with chess.
He plays (or at least was playing) MTG pretty regularly on stream and is relatively decent at it.
Dude just couldn't take not being good at the game in such a public tournament. And didn't really think through the consequences in the moment.
@t3hsilarnUsing a xim on console is 100% cheating. You still get aim assist because the game thinks a controller is plugged in. This isn’t even up for debate.
@t3hsilarn Playing with keyboard and mouse against console players is seeking an advantage...gamepads just can't match the accuracy. If that was his preferred way of playing Destiny, then he should've stuck to the PC version where there was a more level playing field. Trying to rationalise that as not cheating is disingenuous at best.
Bringing the time honored Tarkov tradition of cheating to chess then gaslighting anyone who calls you out. Classic.
Wolfey is the man, so his reaction doesn't surprise me. A true class act.
ah yes.. Wolfey's worsst nightmare
*Terra Chess Incineroar*
You missed the best part. After Lupo wins one of the games and he wants to celebrate, he says something along the lines of "hold on, let me pull up chat."
Implying that he did not have any chat up during the game, which immediately invalidated his claim that he pulled moves from chat.
I didnt need any of the follow up. Once i heard him say both of those things, I knew he used an engine.
Wonder what else he cheats at.... Is he married?...
He has pretty much cheated in every game hes been popular for.
@ZulousOG Honestly as soon as i heard he was a fortnite player, i wasnt shocked he was a cheater; not in that the two are intrinsically linked, but its not the least bit surprisin that a fortnite streamer wud be the one to cheat at smth like this - where the pts matter even less than on whose line is it anyway

@SylviaRustyFaegreat zinger! I fucking love that show 😂👌🏻
Yeah, but even then, I honestly don't understand why his defence is that he was seeing chat moves lol, it's literally him saying "sure, I cheated, but using a different method" as if that somehow makes it not as bad.
These dummies dont realize " luck" doesn't exist in chess. There are no variables. You and your opponent are on a 100% level playing field.
Anything involving humans has luck, because humans are not predictable. Sometimes they accidentally do something brilliant, or something stupid. This is especially prominent when you’re dealing with less experienced players.
Of course, the odds that someone who is inexperienced would stumble into more than 1 or 2 engine moves are very low, but the fact remains that humans aren’t computers.
Please make a new pick-up video 😂🤣
