Once a year 1000 voices combine as one to make Makhanda ‘the City that sings’. The National Arts Festival’s annual “Masicule” concert brings the City together in song with a mass choral event like no other. In 2019 Vusi Mahlasela joined as Masicule’s featured artist performing with small groups and the full massed choir. This excerpt from the concert features him performing with ‘Masicule Voices’, a special group of backing singers assembled for this performance, with featured soloist Orateng Tsokolibane.
