I love how your mom got you a tremendous knife, and I love how your wife was ready to jump in and help cover for you. Everyone needs family like this! God bless all of you.
My wife got me a swiss army knife for my wedding present i carried it for 25 years and on our 25th anniversary she bought me a new one now it 10 years old but its a pocket knife couldnt asked for a better gift , really enjoy your everyday man stuff
I carried a Mini-Dejavoo for 20 yrs. and figured I needed a new knife so, the Mini-Bugout. Mine doesn't have any of those faults and I'm super happy with it.
That grit your feeling will smooth out after you fidget with it a bit. I loosend my pivot just a tiny bit to get it drop shut and gave it a drop of nano oil. Can't stop playing with it now that it's worn in a little bit.
Thank you for your great review of this Benchmade knife! As one with familiarity with a few other brands such as Civivi, Hogue, Spyderco, to name a few, I am thinking of trying a Benchmade Mini-Griptilian, mainly because of the slightly chunkier scales. Because it's a "thicker" knife, I wonder if it's a bit more robust than this Mini-Bugout. Thanks again!
I almost bought one and then realized the two handles have an "open" configuration (i.e. you can see through the blades from top to bottom when the knife is open). I'd prefer a solid back liner the full length of the knife
I have two mini knockoff bugouts, both have super finished steel. I can't tell the difference vs my real Osborne. $15 per. Yes, there could be slight differences vs a real one but nothing that would impact the functionality. Things like the axis lock having two grooves vs three. And by the way, the❤ full immunity I purchased had bearings in it and I believe the real benchmade has bushings. And as far as intellectual property goes, the Italians have been making stilettos for hundreds of years so who really owns the Benchmade Fact design?
I have a seiko turtle and work in a restaurant been wearing it for almost a year and last week was the first time someone noticed it and had a small conversation about it like what model it is and so on
I've been carrying the same model for a year now and haven't experienced any of the issues you mentioned. Shouldn't be happening at all on a 200 dollar knife regardless.
I mean lifetime warranty is nice new blade is like 20 bucks plus if your a chick an don't sharpen your own knife you can send it in and they will do it free and there wicked customizable and even though it's not vanx or magnacut or sv90 I think sv35 sharpens an holds well and yes it's a benchmade status symbol I made mine on there website paid the 360 bucks an beat the hell outta it 😅
Benchmade knives e.g. Bugout are great for EDC. Small and light. BUT they are a bit pricey...compared to the competition e.g. Spyderco Para 3 LW. So, buy this knife if you're a Benchmade fan. Folding knives today....I think they're a tad overpriced for what htey are vs. flashlights vs pistols....items in many EDC's (in gun friendly states). A folding knfe is a relatively simple product (vs a flashlgiht or firearm). That's my gripe ..but "...that's just how it is (Bruce Hornsby song..heh..)...
The blade rides on washers. They need a little time to break in. I own 3 Bugouts. Every one needed an adjustment of the pivot and a drop of oil. Gunny Glide works great. Good luck.
The only reason to buy a benchmade is to be able to say you have a benchmade. Show me any benchmade knife and I can give you at least one opion thats as good or better and more affordable.
@@EverydayMan I mean, I have to disagree. Their QC has been pretty bad for a while now and they have huge markups for very basic upgrades. Putting a new steel on a taggedout and upcharging $200 is so stupid it's rediculous.
It cost too much. I got smith and wesson M@P KNIVES FOR 25 TO 35.00 THAT ARE STRONGER AND SHARPEN JUST AS WELL AND I TRUST THEM MORE TO BE RUGGED. I GOT A 200.00 BENCHMADE AND IT DONT HOLD AN EDGE OR SHARPEN AS WELL AS MY 60.00 CASE, S&W KNIVES.
true. straight and room temperature if you're sitting on the porch. if you're driving you can cut it with a little coke (cola). i like my knives half opened sometimes. i need some friction there, so liner locks for me. the old-school knives even had a half open detent. i don't get this $200 knives stuff. a $200 bottle of bourbon maybe
@@EverydayManIf you’re happy with it that’s super, super okay, but there are lots of YT videos that show how to easily spot a genuine fake. PS There is only one “I” in ambidextrous. 🤷🏻♂️

@@robbbbery i definitely have a wonderful family!
“I like to have nice things”. Ultimate argument. Like it.

Thank you! No doubt a knife is a very thoughtful gift.

I just got mine back from Benchmade. The spring on the axis lock broke.
Best bugout is the 535. I know its pretty expensive, but I haven't ran into any of the issues you mentioned.
Looks like a nice one.
Excellent review sir! I have two 535's and I love them!
Thank you!

Mine is getting better. I don't stop fiddling with it either.
That part of losing it right away is honest. I’ve never lost a knife I guarantee with this new bugout I got it will be lost. I’m praying I don’t.
Gifted 2 mini, I edc the BO w/OD Tritium scales. I also wrestled with those decisions as well, and have no regrets. Your take was 💯on point 👈🏻 😉
Its those handles man gotta get atleast the g10 but i went titanium no complaints

And,your mom is watching. Thanks Kara for covering up for my son! LOL. 😘
I was so relieved, Kara actually found it under some leaves. I walked right over it.

You get this online or from an authorized dealer?
Online.
Bourbon and knives. Great combo! Lol!!! 😞
100 percent a status symbol. U can get something just as good if not better for muuuuuuuuuuuch cheaper

I think it's a quality knife, maybe a bit too expensive for what it is. But they make a fine blade.

A real Bourbon drinker would not put a dozen ice cubes in his glass of his favorite Bourbon.
It was bourbon and I drank it. Nothing was faked in the making of this video.

Gatekeeping alcohol. Be better mate
@@jgunther3398 I’ll drink to that! A man with imagination and class.🥃
Lol..let the man enjoy the drink the way he wants, stop gatekeeping.
YOU MAY HAVE A CLONE BRO🤔
That thought has crossed my mind. Everything sure looks the part though.
