If you are a Jamaican and a Maroon watching this video, the name Acheampong is what you called Acampon one of the leaders among Nanny, Kwadwo or Cujoe and Quao who led the maroon to defeat the British army and gain their freedom even before the Haitian revolution this is where the name comes from, it is an Akan name. Acampon day is celebrated every year in Jamaica, little education for you. The name is pronounced Acheampong and NOT Acampon. All the four leaders have Akan names, Nana, Kwadwo or Cujoe and Quao are all Akan names.
There is town aswell. Thanks for sharing with us.
Amazing history lesson, thank you for sharing!
@@hassanazakariah4969 woooow nice to know
Waw thank you for sharing
I think it’s Akropong rather meaning “Big Town”
There are so many towns in Ghana named Akropong. Asante-Akropong, Akuapem-Akropong, Wassa-Akropong.... and so many others.
And for names... we have so many ending in “pong” which means big example Frimpong, Acheampong (like his name), Amaniampong etc. Also other towns like Mampong etc.
This is soo beautiful, and the women is sooo humble and smart for how she will use the money 😻😻
Soo many women here are strong as hell
Sure
I agree with you.
I’m a Melanesian from Papua New Guinea 🇵🇬 and I tell ya the markets back on my island is exactly like this the energy the vibe how it’s dominated by women the little chats they give you when you walk through and they and free food they give even when they have less these videos make me feel so at home and always so home sick love from Australia 🇦🇺
All African markets are the same, even Jamaican I saw on RUclips was like this. It shocked me.
Same with Jamaica.
These women are admiring Kevin ooooo😂😂😂😂😂😂,ne ho f3 de3😂😂😂😂😂😂They saying you're handsome.
For you guys being the bridge to help this hardworking Ghananian lady..you too Kevin and your family will be richly blessed for being a blessing to her and her family..the soft smile on her face speaks volume ..she is so appreciative..love the open market with all the variety of fresh vegetable and fruits and everything else
Even with the stuggle and hussle they are happy. They still support each other and entertain each other! Love it !
The market brings back memories. Kevin and his family are so down to earth and show so much humility ❤. Very genuine family.. Keep up the heart felt videos...
I think you should do more videos where you help ordinary Ghanaians
Yes if ppl help your should contribute too
That's a good idea! I love it.
God will bless u acheampong family and also to everyone donated. May God bless u all
There are a lot of challenges in Africa🌍👍women are the strongest in Africa most especially mothers😢😢😢may God bless them all.thanks for sharing.👏👏👏👍👍👍
A little flabbergasted? Come on she was stunned 😳 to silence. Well done Kevin, but if one recalls correctly, there is a technique for carrying things on the head. Nice 👍🏿 of you to have impacted her life. Watch this space, she will thrive with your contribution. 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿. How did you feel impacting her life like that? You sounded just as stunned 😳. Bravo 👏🏿
OMG, may God bless those hard working women in the market, their effort is incredible 🥺🤔♥️🙏
I thought as much. They are doing so well
Hwe/look all this food... then they say Africans don’t eat. I’m going to Ghana next week, I’m going to eat paaaaa. Europe is hard ohhh. 😂
Say that again oo... its so painful Africa is still struggling. It's sad😥
Lol
Brings back sweet memories. All the noise around you and being called Akwasi Broni all day long :)
Haha why were you in GH?
😂😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
😹😹😹😹
Wow!!! The Acheampong family is already touching lives. That's great. Thanks to all the cheerful donors.
Thanks to them 🙏🏽 were just the messenger
Your family came to Ghana 🇬🇭 apart from trying to find your roots. You came and saw people in need and decided to help the local sufferers - definitely born for a purpose besides just showcasing Ghana 🇬🇭.
How on earth do those women manage to carry such heavy loads on their heads with some sort of damage being done to their heads. I know it their culture to have mainly women carrying the loads. I could never ever see my wife or girlfriend carrying such heavy loads without me filling guilty.
That lady looked so disappointed when you told her that you already had a wife. She was about to set up Kevin. Lol 😝
Thanks once again for a very interesting vlog Kevin. By the way, it seems unusual to not see Anna around and the children but at least we still get to have a vlog from you. Just keep them vlogs coming!
Kevin went to kumasi alone this time 😀
And that is why I love the Acheampongs. Thank you for changing this lady's life. It might not seem like a lot of money to us living abroad but it goes a long way for people like this young mum. Please do a follow up. ❤
We would once were in kumasi again 🥰
@@AnnaAcheampong perfect 👌 ❤
@@AnnaAcheampong Hey Kevin, I hope u get this message. I want to make donation to the lady. Can you contact me?

I know Mama Esther very well. How I wish I could get her number
Quand je vois comment nos mamans souffrent pour nous donner une vie meilleure ❤️❤️❤️🙏🏿🙏🏿👋🏿👋🏿👋🏿🥰🥰💐💐💐
Kevin please buy the Prekese if you can. You can just cut it up and put into bottle and add water or liquor to it and leave its nutrient to dissolve into it by leaving it standing and covered for at least a week before starting to drink it bit by bit everyday. Really healthy. This is another way of having Prekese other than putting it in your soups all the time. If you prefer soups you just boil the prekese in there, you can take it out and rinse and re-use it in another cooking. So please buy this when in the market again.
She gave it to him acctualy as a gift 🥰
@@AnnaAcheampong thats lovely. Use some for soup and the other for bitters as I explained earlier. Really healthy stuff both of you can drink, if made non-alcohol the kids can have some too.
The fact that she's gonna use the money to start another job of her own.. wauww smart woman, well done!
😂 love these market women they are willing to get you a wife very funny hope Anna doesn’t get mas😂😂😂

The Ghanaian people are the most beautiful people we have come across so far. We were there back in November. Everybody we came across were so helpful and lovely. Also love a good banta as you see in the video.
Saw so many ladies with such heavy weights like this on their heads. Unbelievable how they manage to carry it plus having children attached as well.
Holding her child while holding the big pot on her head wow 😳

His husband for sure, dark and lovely man
Once again the Acheampongs did it again. On the ground mingling with the REAL people on the streets. Much respect 🙏 and kudos to you guys.
The older lady that was dancing at the market was phenomenal..she made my day. The Kayayo lady..very humble and may GOD /Allah bless her hustle....The GeneRall
That lady desire that help. God bless her
Beautiful and heart warming. When I was in Ghana and saw how hard our mothers and sisters worked I was just so taken aback. My grandma told me stories of how she carried things on her head in the Caribbean and to see this up close gave me such an education. Not 1 pushchair in sight in Ghana!!! Baby and shopping carried on the body....The strength of a woman is untouched!! Mental fortitude to do what it takes to support her family...wow.
Blessings will surely follow all those who changed Our sister and her family’s life. Great Job ❤️
❤️
Wow , blessings to her and the subscribers who contributed to her 🇬🇭🙌🏾
They all show love ❤️ and I like humbless.

Market too.
That would be great We would do an update once were in kumasi again 😊
She will go and give it to her husband wai forget
@@rachealmintah2864 sadly. Hope not.
@@rachealmintah2864 how do you know? During my time in lawschool I held a law clinic, put money together and donated to a woman similar phenotype, religion and most likely same tribe as the lady, the woman I handed the money to immediately gave it to her husband I was pissed but it is what it is. I never knew that happened I'd have bought a sewing machine or some work tools/equipment for her instead
@@Biobele I know them very well
