    Successfully landing after an engine failure is not a fail. That's literally the definition of success.

      A plane with the engine off can land without any problem. So yes, these are mostly failures here

    All too many of these videos were neither crazy, emergency or landings gone wrong but just skillful pilots doing what they area trained to do.

      It's the planes "failing", not the pilots, not every fail has to be human, not every fail has to end in disaster

    @16:58 Superior decision-making by pilots; looked good right up until the landing threshold, when there was a sudden rain squall that made the runway invisible. "Go around" was absolutely the right call.

      It’s actually quite common for pilots to naturally tune out alarms when they have heard them before many times.
      This is why checklists may be the greatest blessing ever bestowed upon airmen.

      You haven't seen anything Pan Am fly since 1991, when they ceased operations. The A380, a four engine wide-body airliner, first flew in 2005.

    Poster, out of respect, you should delete the video portion of video that starts at the 5:25 mark, of that lady who let go of the fence at St. Maarten airport beach. She ended up dying there when she hit her head on that concrete barrier.
    Just a thought, as the story is sad, but true.
    But, as always, that's just my opinion! :(((

She was a person who took on a stupid trend that people are not very aware of, of how dangerous it is. So perhaps you are right, the video should stay up, but come with a warning have how dangerous it is and that people DO DIE!       It was a demonstration flight by Airbus's test pilots. They were deliberately pushing its limits. Hardly a fail.

    I don't know why some of these are listed as fails, some of them are but the TOGA was brilliant and the B52 is designed to take off in that manner. most of the errors were glide slope errors.

    17:34 when the landing strip completely disappears was unexpected. Watching aviation videos and recognizing how tight the decision point is to abort landing and go around is something I would imagine opens up a bit with experience. Maybe not. On the same video, what is that piece of glass directly in front of the pilots face? Is it a HUD?

    5:21 I have watched 2 or 3 videos of people hitting their head on the pavement while they are THAT close to planes taking off on that airport.
    Honestly I think it's crazy they don't prohibit people from getting that close to the fence, they should at least stand on the sand so there is nothing dangerous behind them.

    Those people standing directly behind a jet accelerating for a take-off have got rocks in their heads... particulate material can easily obliterate their eyes and being tossed onto a concrete curb could cause a traumatic injury.

    Turbo props are insane, you can just sit them on the ground, coming straight down.
    And take off straight up.
    At least mine.
    Those little turbines are crazy
    Endless power.
    I have a crop duster with a turbine, do all kinds of stunts.
    Wish I could afford an acrobatic, but it's a expensive toy.But my plane can do anything the acrobatic does, just ain't made for it, and also costs almost a million.800.000 thousands to be exact.
    But I have both planes in one

      Still, less expensive than when you are in the crashing aircraft, even with insurance. Heck my insurance premium increase alone would pay a drone a month
