Nice flips. Shivers 1500$ personally just let sweoop me they have never actually hurt me just scare me with noise. Dam that’s a bigger off a crash. Listening to squealing pigs while sleeping is one experience I’d rather miss.
I was swooped and hit by a flock as I came over a blind bending crest near Bruarong back in 2015. Zero verge and a semi trailer almost took me out. Was a healthy scare, still gives me shivers.
Did you mention why you decided not to travel via the rail trails down to Ipswich / Brisbane? If you’re thinking of a shorter trip in the future I’d recommend a Brisbane, Sunshine Coast, Gympie, Kilkivan, Rail Trails loop.
Oh mate, gutted about those magpies. Great episode nonetheless. Hope you managed to keep filming somehow because I'm excited to see the last leg of the journey.

Yep I’m another advocate of just protecting the eyes protecting ears and just letting them swoop. I don’t engage Maggies at all anymore.
