The bike runs very strong and powerful as it sounds in this video. The bike was built in 1979, considering its age my Kawasaki is in excellent condition. I enjoy each rides.
This video gives you a sample but in real life this Kawasaki engine sounds better than anything I have ever heard. Decades ago, I saw a rider turn around this type of motorcycle at a very slow speed almost at idle. It sounded like a half of a Ferrari engine. The burble sound it made was just simply stunning. If you ever see a rider on one of these try to listen to the exhaust note. It is truly music.
As a kid I had a poster of that bike on my wall, the closest I got to one was owning the Kawasaki ZRX 1100 for a few years, that was one hell of a bike. 🙏
Had one exactly the same, I think mine was an 1986 model. Fuel injected and had a handmade set of stainless steel 6 into 1 pipes similar to the bike in the video. It sounded like an F1 engine when it was in the high rev range. Sold to a mate about ten years ago who sold it on to another mate who still has it in his collection.
They definitely sound different threw titanium pipes! The stainless steel ones still sound good, don't misunderstand me! Regular pipe's sound good 👍! Titanium just sounds better
I bought one many years ago, with some issues. One muffler trash, and running poor in rain. I made two mufflers i stainless, and replaced 2 not standard ignitioncoils (3,2 ohm ?), and then it ran good as long as i had it. Restricted in Sweden to 120 hp, but a wonderful bike, one of the best i ever owned, and i have had many bikes..
One beautiful vintage muscle bike, that is gorgeous, classy looking, fast as hell, and what a motorcycle should like like. I've been a lifelong fan and rider of 2 stroke MX Dirtbikes, Japanese Sportbikes, and 2 stroke streetbikes. Just bought a 1985 Yamaha 2 stroke RZ 350 Kenny Roberts Edition Bike, in Vintage Yamaha Yellow and Black, with the engine taken off of the frame, restored from the ground up. Beautiful vintage 2 stroke streetbike, with a sick powerband. Got it a couple of months ago, from Kaplan Cycles and the New England Motorcycle Museum, in Rockville, Connecticut. They're awesome and Highly talented people. They take old school pride, in everything that they do, no.matter how cheap or expensive. They have two channels on You Tube....Kaplan America and Kaplan Cycles. Best motorcycle channels on You Tube, IMHO. I like your channel alot too, and just subscribed to it. Later today, or on Tuesday, my Gas Gas 2 stroke MX Dirtbike, a MC 250, made by the KTM Company will be delivered to my house. Bought it from the same people at Kaplan Cycles in Connecticut. I'm as excited as a young boy on Christmas Day. Much Love and Respect, Brother, From New Orleans, La.
To me all Japanese bikes that are vintage, I mean built prior to 1988 are simpler and lot better in quality, not taking any even small parts are made in the same country with lot of care. As Japanese currency exchange rate set higher in late 80s in which in turn point: The components that go to bikes started leave country, off shore manufactured parts started built in the bikes for cost advantages. We did not have Alibaba back then but skills are transferred then later hit us with copycat version of Yamaha, Honda, Kawasaki today. There was no copycats in 70s 80s and the bakes from that time still out stand with value. We appreciate those people like Kaplan properly treat values of bikes to museum level, decades pass by but still quality is good and bike is solid! Ya! I would like to visit one of Kaplan facility one day. 🎉 Cheers!
If you didn't have the video heading or saw the bike you could be forgiven for thinking you were listening to a high performance sports car. Lovely sound.
Absolutely love it man wicked bike! I still have 74 Ltd 1000 and kz 1100 with 4-1 kerker headers and slip 💪 These sounds are so unique… if you know your bikes you know what’s coming down the road 💪💪💪💪🤘
@@TheStickystring Haha. You'll be an urban legend with that bike. Must admit I prefer the round headlight on these sort of bikes, but this square one really suits this bike. Has a real 1980s feel, and I like that a lot. I'd love a time machine back to 1980s!
@@TheStickystring Yeah, exactly, I have a CB400SF in-line 4, which is probably more Early 1990s styling, but it makes me feel like I'm in the 1980s. Either or, makes me feel like a young teen again from that era :)
I really shouldnt say this, being a MAJOR Kawasaki fan but only one or two times did Kawi make something not eye catching and that was this gas tank. Well yeah said it out loud but would in a heart beat love to have a 1300!!!!!!!!!!!
I'll never forget the ads Kawasaki ran in the cycle magazines back then for these. Some stud named "Don" sitting in his bachelor pad with his pornstache and his scantily-clad babe, with his shirt wide open and his hairy chest. Man, did I want to BE him!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Then I was. For a brief period, as all young men find out. But for me it was the CBX.
I passed up an opportunity to buy one that was in parts, in a box for decades. $500, before the plague. Before the inflation. I got a better job now, and my speeding ticket's done. Now's the second best time.
@@Team-fabulous That's not mass produce bike, besides, what he state was debatable tho. Some Japanese tuning Honda CBX I saw on RUclips with flatside carb and titanium exhaust will clap this bike effortlessly.
then we will build Hydrogen cell bike! Then half way thru project government cuts grants and incentives. The future goes either electric or drone bike.... in the way it appears by government choice.
That's bad as fuck!!, I owned a silver 1979 CBX back in 1984 with a DG 6 into 1, I also knew a guy in Alameda ca that also had a 79 CBX with a rare "large baffle" Bassani Superbike pipe, 6 into 1!! that sound was amazing lol , my next bike was a minty 1982 Gpz1100 with a Bassani pipe & a ELR seat, took off the EFI that sucked and bought Mikuni's!, Great video, thx!
After over 40 years people realize what a great cruising bike the Z1300 really is
It is !!!

thank you for very positive comment! There are not too many left in North America - we take care of the ones that left here there.
Shaft Drive , 6 CYL. ALL THE LATEST ELECTRONICS ...
6 INTO ONE EXHAUST ...SOUNDS REAL GOOD AND SOUNDS VERY SMOOTH.
As former motorcycle mechanic, that machine was a awesome BEAST!
What did that bike hold.....almost 6 quarts of oil?😆
Ugly as F though compared to the CBX
Had one for 30 year’s, best bike ever. Thinking about getting one again!
It is getting more difficult to find good one, Hurry!
Had one for 5 years in the late 80s,wish i still had it

ZRX edy L. Replica is verry Nice and good bike ❤

My god that sounds good. Those old kwakas sure looked great too.

Looks as good as it sounds friend. I had one years ago, about 1985/6. My love for this bike is reawakened. I’m now looking for one.
You should!
That bike is absolutely gorgeous, sounds amazing, hope you're still enjoying it.
Thanks for the sound clip! i have bought a delkevic for my z13 injection , can't wait to fit it. Cheers .
Whoa!
The power and glory of the big Zed...
Sheer delight...keep the old boy going!

loved it. Beautiful sky, wonderful sound!
Thank you,
I like the kawasaki Beasley of the liquid cooling and shaft drive, but the cbx was very fun to ride as well.
Wow that sounds kinda like my Subaru svx! What an insane bike to ride!

Where did you post KZ1100 kerker?
Hey elitecystuning. The LTD Kaw didn't exist in 1974. They were introduced in 1976 as the KZ900LTD, NOT in 1974......
Love it, sounds just a little different then my open header KZ1300.
Next video I should take silencer out 😅 but isn’t it too loud ?
@@TheStickystring Let it breathe!
Sheesh a redline fly by in second gear was what I expected. I need some kind of Mad Max throttle twisting ala Clockwork Orange ultra violence!!
I remember the ads for these in motorcycle magazines, but I don’t think I ever saw one in person🤷🏼♂️
Einfach ein geiler Sound !!!
Sounds amazing 👍🏻🙂
I had one in the early 90's . ERS 50 T . Its in New Zealand now apparently.
Niiiice !! Like watching one of the scenes outa mad max 😉👍
I am from Mad Max but with Japanese accent
Beautiful bike and sounds great! 🔥
Thank you!
This bike sounds better than the CBX through most of the rpm range.
The CBX only sounds good between redline and 2k rpm before redline.
El mejor sonido junto con la Honda cb de 6 cilindros. Verdaderas bestias 👏👏👏
Mint bike, sounds great.
This bike will pick up chicks anywhere. And do a wheelie on the way out too.
Lol, I get lot of attention from kids, for some reason they wave at me as I pass by.. not sure why

Thanks 👍
What a sound!

Sounds excellent!
best sound ever
beautiful screen shot back round 👌 sounds lovely would have been a bit better with a quicker take of and change of gear ⚙
Thank you for the positive comment!
sounds like a Supra or american i6! i actually prefer the z1300s over the CBXs buzzing italian v12 kinda sound
always wanted but never got one..im to short to reach the floor, had to settle for xj650 in the end

was always only 1 six..da CBX1000 for me dat was :)
Das schalten üben wir aber noch mal...😂😊
Ooooh. I want this now.

I had to remove the center stand. It doesn’t come in one piece thus easy to fit all together..

It does! And feel like Mad Max except this is 40 years later!

Que rico me encanta😮😮❤❤❤
Best sounding 6 cylinder ever produced bar None. Makes the Honda sound like a sewing machine and the Benelli sound like the weak sister it was.
Nonsense, you've obviously never heard the Honda 6 250...
I have a CBX with 6 to 1 pipe. It's better... bar none.
NOTHING ! Sounds like an inline kawi with the rite pipe 😉🔥🔥🔥💪
A CBX with a Hooker 6-1 header is the best sounding motorcycle on the planet…period.

Yes the slowest gear shifting contest
