Gear ratio doesn't matter what matter is top speed and both can achieve identical top speed. An old one has more responsive torque delivery at hill climbs due to its gearing ratios.
New RE engines are literally butter to ride... although it has its thump... but zero vibration which makes it a beauty of a bike... all the Jawa honda cb and yezdi will go out of business soon
