I would draw the three circles differently… it would be “soul” as the inter circle. Then body. Then spirit surrounding the body and the soul. (And then Spirit is essentially the same as god, it represents source energy which connects us all… so like the mountains and rivers are all parts of the earth, each individual is a part of the spirit… with our individual souls housed within our individual bodies. [yet our souls are also multi-dimensional and nonlinear, Unlike our physical body- so while it’s housed inside of us it also exists beyond those confines throughout time and space]) Also as I stated before, the spirit is about depth and moisture while the soul is about height and is dry. (We commonly say the depths of my soul and my spirit soars for example)
I know you must withhold certain information due to agencies that wish to keep the mysteries secret, however I truly am grateful for your sharing of knowledge. You are a wise man. Bless you
Just stumbled on that video!! I love it, I looove the subject of parts of the self, and I know that in Norse mythology and spirituality, there are multiple parts of the self (about the same number or slightly more than the Egyptian system)
I know that this is an older video, but I wanted to make a couple of notes that I think a really important. The first is that the New Testament is written in Greek, not Latin. So the actual word for spirit isn’t spiritual, it’s pneuma- which is feminine, and soul is psyche. In Hebrew Ruach is neuter, and is both general spirit/breath as well as the specific spirit/breath of God they “hovered over the deep” in Genesis 1. This doesn’t necessarily change your point, but I think it’s really important that Paul was writing in Greek not Latin, and anything we draw from Latin is from a imperfect translation.
In Traditional Chinese Spirituality, there are two parts to the intangible portion of humans. The P'o (Bone Soul) is the source of passions and lingers near the body and the Hun (Cloud Soul) is the intellect and goes to the Afterlife.
In alchemy, Sulfur is male, Mercury is neutral (or both male and female), and Salt is female. Sulfur is like Spirit which combines with Salt, the body, to create their child, Mercury.
I'm really glad you liked it, Jorge! 😄 Obviously this is just an overview that you could spend years digging into, but I hope it's at least a little food for thought! 😄
I connect spirit with air and soul with water. (Soul is deep and dark and wet... like a well... and spirit is high and light and dry... like a bird in flight
I am curious to which one of these is driving me to know this information.....I am consumed with learning as much of this as possible and have no idea why....it is becoming an obsession for me......LIKE IM ALMOST OUT OF TIME!
My attempt at describing the Yechida- the will of the universe and/or the reason for the creation.. which brings about the spark(chaya). It takes years before a chaya can be actualized. It can be changed or manifested though time. Just a guess.
Yes. Like Ruach. And this sense of the breath being a divine, spiritual component of the person was the origin of offering a verbal blessing when a person sneezed. Obviously, if the breath is a divine component, then anything disrupting it is a danger requiring a quick protective spell.
Much like the 5 koshas spoken of in the taittiriya upanishad and The Hamr, The Hugr,The Hamingja and The Fylgja spoken in the havamal these sheathes are sheathes of knowledge or lack thereof. It is the removal of these sheathes that is the basis of the mysteries and leads to understanding of the true self.. Hence the writing on the wall of the Oracle of Delphi "know thyself and you will know the gods and the universe" keep up the good work my friend
You seem to have swapped the fire and water triangles on the pentagram. The invoking pentagrams of earth and fire come down from the top towards the left and right feet (respectively).
The ancient egyptians postulated up to 10 differents parts of the human being..! depending on the period/dynasty.. There's a wikipedia article about it : "Ancient Egyptian conception of the soul"
Enjoying the videos so far. The Christains encoded our triparte nature in the sacred symbol of the Ichthys. Expand it out and you get a Vesica Piscis showing the overlap of the two circles of Spirit and Matter with Soul as the lens shape in the centre. This is to signify that the Soul is the sum of two parts and that if one is removed then the Soul (Ego/individuality/Psyche, etc) ceases to exist. The Soul does not exist after death nor does Christianity teach that this is so. The idea of somehow making the Soul live on or attached to the spirit is not in the teachings. Only the Spirit part exists after death which then reincarnates again... this is why we don't remember because the Soul between incarnations ceases to be. There is however some rememberence of ourselves and the experience and information gained through our short life journey retained in Spirit somehow. As Blake said "Nothing lasts… But Nothing is Lost..."
Researching this because I'm curious about why my hands shake uncontrollably when I make a ball of ki. How does spiritual fatigue work? And how can a ghost feel pain if there's no pain receptors?
There's a lot here to unpack. For starters, the writers of the Christian New Testament were Aramaic and Hebrew speakers translating their message into Greek for wide reading. Latin was a language of the rulers, but was only forced on that audience generations later precisely to make Christian Teachings a Priestly secret, like the religions it was displacing, so Latin is not a good place to look for deep meaning in any Judeo-Christian texts, from what I know about it anyway. The Greek for Spirit is "Nooma" which also means "breath," and "wind." Meanwhile, back to the oldest Hebrew writings, in the Old Testament, "Soul" means an animated being or personality.... Roughly.... many translations of the bible use "living soul" for the creation of Mankind as well as the animals in Genesis. The first "diagram of being" I am aware of in Hebrew scripture comes from later in the Pentetuch where the Israelites are commanded to "Love YHWH with all their Heart, Mind, Soul, and Strength." Not knowing any Hebrew, and looking at different english translations, I take this as (reordered) "body, heart, mind, spirit." This is heavily biased towards my preference for the Enneagram dividing man's existence into expresions of the heart, mind, and body, all as expressions of the spirit. It also fits well with the three main Chakras/DanTians of Yoga/Taoism. All that said, to show how hard this can be to decipher, my dad who has a degree in Biblical Languages agrees with my interpretation of the Heart/Soul/Mind/Body, but pointed out that the word translated "mind" is literally "intestines." Ancient Near Eastern cultures universally believed that thought start as bodily sensations in the intestines, express themselves in the heart as emotions, and them become manifest to the soul behind the eyes. Later the Greek Medicine impressed the conquered with the notion that the brain was an organ for dissipating heat out though the skull, and, no joke, transferring the vacuum force created by the hair to the blood, so that semen would be pulled into the uterus and properly implant. Before microscopes they came up with great stories to fill in their knowledge gaps! Basically, Kabbalah is Hebrew spirituality after it was exposed to Greek and Vedic systems. Before that they never have a sense that humans have a spirit separate from the body. So good job making any sense of all this stuff 😂🤔 I try too but the layers go deep and double back behind sometimes.
Editing the above for spelling, I think I should clarify the hair thing. This is why Greeks and then Romans insisted on making men keep their hair short, and went to the trouble of shaving their faces when cultures all around considered a bare face to be feminine, all while insisting that women ought to have as long head hair as possible. They wanted male hair to not pull the seminal spirit and substance away from the woman's womb, whereas the woman needed as much hair suction as possible le to up sperm and any accompanying forces up into her womb. This is why in the New Testament only the Apostle Paul, who had a Greek/Roman father, talks about men's and women's hair as an important issue for gender roles. Its also likely that Muslims took on this view when they conquered Greek influenced lands, resulting in the women's headcoverings being mandatory once a girl reached puberty and her hair became a sexual organ.
This is an awesome additional insight! Yes, the contradictions are infuriating! Trying to find the most consistent info for this video was a nightmare 😂 I try not to forget that language is only signposts, sometimes the wrong one gets used, but it doesn't change the nature of the object being pointed at. But it doesn't help when what is being pointed at is so subtle, and it's distinction from what surrounds it stems from language itself...
I'm intrigued that you never incorporated the heart, mind, soul, body or some such version of the Shema. I know many traditions conceive of the soul differently. I've kind of thought of the heart as the emotional center, the mind as the intellect, the body as the physical being, the spirit as the animating energy (God's animating breath), and the soul as the entire human being, heart, mind, body, spirit together.
I always thought Ruach was the breath/spirit/wind as in Genesis. Wasn’t it Ruach moving over the waters of chaos just before the divine incantation set the whole creation in motion?
Can you explain or make a video about the language of the God/soul/spirit? From my studies I am starting to understand that man-made languages like English is not sufficient to communicate the soul of the world. What is the language of experience and how does one communicate this?

May I asked what translation is the text you were quoting from? Sorry I have to ask! A whole theology had been clung on to how the word “el” has been interpreted into modern English (!!). So I am naturally curious 😬 I usually brush through the words “soul” and “spirit” and treat them as indistinguishable, as mere variety in a thesaurus sort of way. So, this is interesting! Thank you for this!!
It's the King James. Thank you for bringing this up - what I omitted to say in the video and have been meaning to address is the fact that the word that has been translated "spirit" here is the Greek word "pneuma" - so breath, spiritus, and "soul" is the translation that has been chosen for "psyche", so very much to do with the mind.
Yes, you're entirely right. My bad. Guph is the Physical Body, not Nefesh. Nefesh is the Animal Brain (fight/flight reflexes etc). Thank you very much for the heads up there! I've added an errata to the description.
Have you experimented with what you can see and noted down what was presented to you. I personally feel it would be fascinating if other people brought forward what they experience directly the information that comes to their psyche, I think we would get a clearer picture of what ever it is that we are dealing with. The process to do this (if any one reading this comment doesn’t know) is “Carl Jung’s” active imagination. In this process there is a language of the imagination that’s presented to the observer, what comes forward seems like gibberish, but like spending time in a foreign country long enough one comes to pick up on the local language. Please, please, please give this environment (your imagination as a passive observer from questions) your attention, it’s incredibly enriching to ones life if any one hasn’t tried this.
I'm just reading WB Yeats' "On Magic And The Occult" which suggests something similar. After reading the first chapter, I made an experiment wit my wife where I would imagine something in her mind (imagine her imagining it), and she closed her eyes and commented on what arose naturally in her imagination. And then we reversed roles. The results were never precise, but the attributes of what we saw bore striking resemblances with what was being 'sent', to a degree and a frequency beyond what might be called 'fluke'.
It is exciting when others are noticing this phenomena ( I felt I was the only one noticing this ). In "Guy Ogilvy's" book "The Great Wizards of Antiquity" on page 219 he points out the mystic "Jacob Boehme" and "Jung" could see alchemy is a language which speaks to the active imagination when opened in man. Me and my wife practice together sometimes, but she would rather me just do it for her. I've been practicing this for nearly a decade and its incredibly powerful stuff. When I first noticed the information I was picking up on others was way too much of a fluke I felt there is definitely something weird going on. My channel is about this stuff and what I'm expressing when in this environment.
Some people use the words interchangeably, but after some research (and I mean quite a lot of cross-referenced research, not just one or two websites), I've found that the correct (and by no means most intuitive) understanding is that "soul" is used as a translation of the Greek "psyche" (related to the mind and personality), and "spirit" is used as a translation for the Greek "pneuma" or "nooma" - the essential "you" that is unable to die.
i think the Spirit is what links us to everyone else and all that is. In the creation story, God breaths into man and woman with His spirit, it does not say God creates a Spirit for us.So our spirit is God. Just an idea.
Do you think with your mind or your soul? Seems like the difference between flesh and spirit and where you stand on this concept. I lean more towards we're gods, not humans.
yes, I think these are all schemas which help to understand, within a given system. its not "this is how it is" but "things seem to function as tho it were like this".
Great thoughts. I think you may have Soul and Spirit revered. The soul is eternal and the spirit is essentially our mind which can be eternal in the sense that our bodies are transformed on Judgement Day. But He is the Holy Spirit and he is eternal...but we have an eternal soul. Soul and Spirit are often used interchangeably though. Hm...
Well, that had been my assumption before I tried to go looking for confirmation... And discovered that soul was the (poorly?) chosen translation for 'psyche', and spirit for 'pneuma'. If you can find an authoritative source to suggest the opposite (which would seem more intuitive to me), I'd be delighted to read them...
without to layers of misinterpretation the words are just words what can be so abstract ? the word yechida has value of 330 and is equal to Black God Black Flag Satan or Santa Game is on I win Karmic Relief .... Neshama is 366 Google News you wow..... the word Chaia is 228 Defend Jew Kabbalah Cancel Grid Death ...... very simple code to decipher
Finding correspondences across various traditions is not only the outcome of magical thinking but a magical practice in its own.
I've done comparative spiritual studies for over 20 years.......there are a LOT of correspondences but people are too lazy to research it...lol :)

So then, is the first name Guph and not Nefesh?
Yes and no.
Yechidah (1) -> Chiah (2) + Neshamah (3) -> Ruach (4+5+6+7+8) -> Nephesh (9) -> Guph (10) (sephira)
Yechidah - Spirit/Jungian 'self'
Chiah - Life force/Will
Neshamah - Divine Intuition/Enlightenment/Grace
Ruach - Breath/Jungian 'ego'/Mind (Chesed - Memory, Geburah - Will, Tiphereth - Imagination, Netzach - Desire/Emotion, Hod - Intellect)
Nephesh - Instinct/Jungian 'unconscious'/Id/'animal soul's
Guph - Human body materia/physical soul
I was introduced to most of this in David Shoemaker's Living Thelema.
So literally nephesh means breather on Hebrew , it’s translated life and soul in many bibles, it also means throat, the philosophical sages have something similar to the attribution you have here, however the link between all the ways it is translated and how that inspired Hebrew thought is where the “magic” happens linking the two provides the Sekhel of the concept

Amazing how the four Hebrew parts of the soul correspond to the four elements and together they perfectly describe the four suits of the tarot.

Foolish Fish Aha! That is a useful clarification thank you! Yes yes ... I have always wondered about the mind and the soul.... Thank you!
Would Yechida be aether?
Is ether the same as spirit representing the fifth element?
Isn’t the Nephesh represent the Animal Instinct and the Guph body? Also can you do a video on the Veils of Negative Existence and the Qliphoth
Yes, you're entirely right. My bad. Guph is the Physical Body, not Nefesh. Nefesh is the Animal Brain (fight/flight reflexes etc). Thank you very much for the heads up there! I've added an errata to the description.
Do you have any book suggestions regarding this topic??
Hm.. its a good question. I guess Chicken Qabalah and Understanding the Thoth Tarot of Aleister Crowley are my usual go-to books for Qabalah topics.
I would recommend 'Deity, Cosmos and Man' by Geoffrey Farthing. Online copy can be found here > bit.ly/3dcNacy
Any info on how the islamic break up the human?
The Yechida and Chiya are part of the Neshema, not independent.
I don't understand the difference between soul and spirit precisely, if someone could explain it to me it would be very appreciated :)
@@FoolishFishBooks Thank you very much!
i think the Spirit is what links us to everyone else and all that is. In the creation story, God breaths into man and woman with His spirit, it does not say God creates a Spirit for us.So our spirit is God. Just an idea.
Guf is the body, not the nephesh
Do you think with your mind or your soul? Seems like the difference between flesh and spirit and where you stand on this concept. I lean more towards we're gods, not humans.
I guess they made up all sorts of explanations when they had no idea how stuff worked
yes, I think these are all schemas which help to understand, within a given system. its not "this is how it is" but "things seem to function as tho it were like this".
Soul is essence not spirit
Ex. Soul is Essence or Sulphur
Spirit is Mercury and Middle of Circles
without to layers of misinterpretation the words are just words
