Still don't understand how Shifty got their hands on a fucking chainsaw.
I’m pretty sure the chainsaw is the Shift equivalent of the Real Knife. Shifty probably got it from New Home.

@@kaysrandomchannel4618 You gotta remember, this is also the universe where there just happens to be a lamp that’s the exact same shape as the fallen child, and the universe where a little white dog is God and the house cat is Satan. A chainsaw laying around isn’t that far fetched.

Trust me, I have every intention of finishing this project. I’ve been waiting for someone to make Hopeless into a full, conceptualized animation for so long. I just got tired of waiting, so I’m doing it myself!

Ok. First of all:how did you suddenly get THAT good?! And second:How did you do the animation of the box shifting size?
To answer your first question, I have absolutely no idea! It was sort of like lightning in a bottle, I made lots of small improvements over the course of making this. For example, The buttons and the text for the Name, Hp, etc. were all WAY too big, so I had to shrink them down multiple times until they looked right.
For how to do the box animation, I’ll probably try to make a tutorial, but I’ll explain it briefly here. First, open a new project and make the background solid green/blue. Then, use the handwriting tool to make the box, this will be your box’s starting size. Next, add a solid color that’s the same as the color of your background and put it over the right corner of your box, copy the solid color layer and put the copy on the left side. Now only the tops and bottoms of your box should be visible. Now use the handwriting tool to make a solid line that’s the same height as your box, then put it where the left corner was, then copy the layer and put the copy on the right corner. Now your box should look complete again. Finally, use the animation tool to animate both the solid color layers on both sides going inward, do the same with the two lines, this will effectively cause the box the shrink!

I’m pretty sure that’s where the name “Hopeless” came from. I don’t own the AU though, So I could be wrong.

Yes, that’s a chainsaw! Mettaton takes the role of Chara in this AU, so the real knife is replaced with Mettaton’s chainsaw from his game show.
Tbh ut looks pretty good but its missing something and idk what it is and the missing thing is making it hard for me to keep watching
