Just because he spoke his mind he got a bad reputation, but it was more towards the owners much more than he ever did towards the fans. As a Pirates fan in Pittsburgh, we could not have been more than happy to have him on the team. He was a major wheel in the 1979 Championship, which was one of the greatest teams of all time; he made it greater. I followed his whole career and he certainly is a Hall of Famer !!
