- Two thirty-somethings have quit their jobs to travel the world.
The Pamir mountains towered around us as we crossed into Tajikistan and climbed mountain passes over 4500M and into the most inspiring high altitude landscape. As far as the eye could see, we were the only car in sight along the Pamir Highway and through the Wakhan corridor, bordering Afghanistan. This was our most rugged and epic road trip.

The people from the Afghanistan and Tajikistan border are the most Beautifulest people in the world they are pamir. Even the Afghan pamirs are very Beautiful

We drove there through Kyrgyzstan so no airport. No problems at the border. We were also traveling with a local guide.

How you've captured your overland travel within the sparse but gorgeous backdrop, you've made what could have been just a boring field or valley, transform into an place of wonder and awe. Thanks Wil, I liked the music too! It is one of the hardest parts of the process for me... finding music that is good and matches the scene. As for the scenery, that's all Tajikistan and DJI, I didn't do much :)

Definitely amazing drone footage. Shows how remote you guys are. There's nothing for miles and miles except b-e-a-utiful landscape. The kids are so so cute ! I love how that one kid walked away and closed the door. Haha. Thanks for sharing your travels and your exceptional experience!

I hope to visit Kyrgyzstan soon. In this regard please let me know one thing. I plan to go Kyrgyzstan side of the pamir highway as I have budget constraints.
At the beginning of the video (between 45 sec to 1 minute and 2.10 minute to 2.35 minute), the view is so amazing. Is it in Kyrgyzstan side? If so I would visit that part hopefully.

Love the aerials, knowing the area it is a must to show the beauty of the place. Imho I would go a little easier on saturation, some footage just looks very unnatural. Thanks for sharing

How many days did it take? What was the route from Dushanbe onwards?
It was 10 days total from Osh in Kyrgyzstan to Dushanbe. We were supposed to go to Uzbekistan after Dushanbe but had issues with the drone at customs so we flew to Azerbaijan instead.

Using a Sony A6500 with kit lens and a DJI Mavic Air for the drone shots.
