    Barcelona ARE NOT too dependent on Yamal. Here is why: firstly I think it's safe to say that Yamal is one of our most important players and to some perhaps the most important. Take any teams best player away from them and that team will undoubtedly be worse off without them. Dependence is the wrong word, it isn't as if the team passes to Yamal and expect him to make something happen. This happened with Messi at barca. The drop in performance from Yamal's absence can be attributed to our lack of depth. The biggest reason why we are so much worse without Lamine isn't only because we are missing a star player it is also because we don't have a natural replacement. Without a natural replacement the dynamic of the build up and attack drastically change (and for the worse).

    • @skcans
      @skcans 16 дней назад +6

      No, your interpretation of dependence is wrong. Being dependent on Yamal doesn't mean he's creating every assist, goal, and stopping every shot from going into the goal, it's just another way to highlight how he's our most important player. His absence creates the biggest butterfly effect on the entire team which means we need him and depend on him. The stats with and without Yamal speak for themselves. There's no shame in admitting that we suck without him

    20:20 I really like Frenkie and want to see him succeed in Flick's Barça, under Koeman and Xavi, he was one of our more dependable players when he was fit, even going as far as to be deployed at centre back multiple times.

    Thank God someone else mentioned that Frenkie play on CAM against Mallorca. But I think Flick only going to use him there if our forwards can already overwhelmed their defense, if the opponents need to score a goal and committing more players forward. Frenkie was put there by Flick because Flick sees so many loose ball or scrappy duel without our player getting the ball back at their half. Frenkie number one in stamina, he lead our team every season since he was here on average KM per game and never been benched except when he was out injured.

I decided to comment on your last video for the first time and you answered my question about if Roque could score. I loved the answer but like you said Roque plays with his full heart and I think there will be a hunger from him to prove that he’s good enough for our starting lineup and what better way than to score against our back line. De Jong is definitely better with more attacking and less defending responsibilities. If he and Olmo can be swapped every match it would be great for their prolonged health. Lamine takes on defenders and takes more chances with his passing than most other players , and his mind is 5 steps ahead so that makes him pretty difficult to replace, but the bench should take note. Christensen and Araújo returning is great for Cubarsí and Martinez...even Kounde, Casadó and Pedri can be rested from those 2 returning combined with Garcia. This team will have A LOT of depth which can help lock in some meaningful trophies

  • @MrArthurAxe

    Frenkie de Jong's position is the number 10. Disgracefully Barcelona prevented him from playing in this role in order to preserve the 4-3-3 formation.
    The Dutch's worst problem in the World Cup was having Frenkie dropping deep just like in Barcelona.

    For me, the Yamal dependance is also a lot down to having no replacement. Maybe Toni Fernandez can be that, or a new signing, but Fermin, Ferran, Fati, even Raphinha, don't fill the role that Yamal has. We need a backup, not one who is as good, but who can fill the same kind of role. We will always be better with Yamal, but we need to still function without him

    As a pivot, I’m not sure Frankie will succeed in Flick’s very direct system. Players like Casado and Bernal are likely to flourish under him. Frankie tends to take more time on the ball, often slowing the game down.
    He could be tried in a more advanced position where his physicality, passing ability, vision, and composure on the ball could be more effective. In this role, he might serve as a substitute for Olmo, who is very injury-prone.

    I don’t agree with your point 100% on Christensen being able to replace Casado.
    Speaking only on the defensive aspect of the Pivot role; Casado defends spaces as well as being a ‘hunter’ - being able to chase down the ball and opposition player. This ‘hunter’ approach is critical for our style of play. Christensen can only defend spaces and cannot be the ‘hunter’ we need.

    Yamal is the most talented teenager since Ronaldo R9. He's on Pele 1958 level. But Lamine needs to develop better finishing and score more goals. He should have 11-12 goals by now.
    I still prefer Nico Williams over Rafael Leao.

    It's a coincidence that we lost the games we played without Lamine. All those matches the whole team played bad, pressing was down, passes not accurate, creativity less etc from everyone. And that is not due to Lamine's absence.
    1 The team as a total and individual should play at the same level with or without Lamine.
    2 Without Lamine Barca should be 100% and with Lamine 120 %.
    3 With someone else playing RW the team as a whole should still win the matches in a similar way/quality as with Lamine at RW.

    • @jwashington7237
      @jwashington7237 17 дней назад +1

      It’s not a coincidence at all. Without Lamine, Raphihna is our only natural winger, and he doesn’t play wide on the touchline anymore. That’s why we struggled to create, there’s no space, our team is too narrow, and our only wide option was Balde or Martin on the left. We don’t have other natural wingers

    • @stefanstefanescu3202
      @stefanstefanescu3202 17 дней назад

      @jwashington7237
      Read well
      The whole team played bad. Pressed bad, passed bad, no confidence. Has NOTHING to do with Lamine's absence. Only with lack of form and energy in the whole team.
      .

    • @jwashington7237
      @jwashington7237 17 дней назад

      @@stefanstefanescu3202 whether we like it or not, everything on the pitch is connected. I’m not saying there weren’t poor passing displays (our passing was poor in our last few wins as well). But also think about the timing and space of the players playing the ball. Lamine not only drags multiple defenders wide to him - which opens up spaces in the middle to pass into and receive the ball - but he also is excellent at being the press with the dribble, allowing us to get out from the back even if our passing is poor. Were it completely dependent on him for everything, but it’s not coincidental that the only time we don’t have a natural touch line winger, we struggle with chance creation and breaking down teams. It’s easy to defend us when everything is central and all you have to do is sit behind the ball. You can’t do that with a touch line winger, especially not one as excellent with the ball at his feet as Lamine. To give an example with a player not in our team, if we had successfully signed Nico Williams last summer, I don’t think you see this dip in form, because we would have a pacey winger on the right (or left since he plays both) who can beat multiple players off the dribble and pick a pass into the box. So while it’s not totally Lamine dependency since we’re lacking a profile, because he’s the ONLY player of that profile, it’s not a coincidence we struggled

      The Celta and Las Palmas performances weren't as bad as you think just because we dropped points in those games the results were just against us, Sociedad was the only real bad performance of that 3 game span and even then we lost that game because of an individual mistake from Kounde allowing the runner to get goal side of him. Although we can say for certain our level drops without Yamal but not as far as people are making it out to be, if you only look at the results though you'd come to that conclusion, but watching the full 90s against Celta and Las Palmas It's more unlucky the way things turned and Yamal played the 2nd half of that Las Palmas game as well and that's where we lost it.

    • @jwashington7237
      @jwashington7237 17 дней назад

      @ facts, that’s why I feel like it only seems like it’s yamal when it’s really just we need a true winger and he’s the only one. We really could’ve won all those games besides Sociedad with even just a solid winger with the profile we need. But obviously when we go to sign someone, we should sign someone great!

    Keeping Christensen is the right move. He's a versatile player that adds a lot of depth to the squad and we know how good of a player he is. We have an incredible partnership with Iñigo and Cubarsi, and with Araujo's return closing in and Christensen looking to be back by February, obv they have to fight for their spots but these 4 being available we are looking stacked defensively.

    I am in NO WAY UNDERSTATING THE IMPORTANCE OF YAMAL, but i feel that the struggle without him is more the struggle due to lack of real wingers than on the player. Flicks style depends a lot on wingers (coman, gnabry, etc in bayern)

    I never understood the Tah rumors. I'm sure he is a great player, but is he a significant upgrade over Andreas or Ronald? I'm not so sure. Only thing I could think of is the club is planing to keep our depth in defence after next year when Martinez contract is up. On FDJ the game was already over when he came on, Mallorca pretty much gave up after 3-1. So I'm not sure that showing is a great indicator.

    Hi, Jamie. I know we're not even halfway through this campaign but looking ahead to the next one, who do you think will be on the chopping block? Valle is doing decent in Scotland, getting crucial UCL experience to boot. Fort deserves a promotion. If Ibrahim Diarra can replicate his U17 WC form, we have a good option to back up Yamal, plus Toni Fernandez. At the number 10, we currently have Fermin, Torre, Olmo, and Raphinha, with Guille Fernandez in tow. Base of midfield, there are Pedri, Gavi, and the Marcs. Plus Eric Garcia and Christensen. How long do you reckon we could see Inigo play at this level? We don't have another left-footed CB. I think, personally, that Frenkie, Ferran, and Ansu are all in more danger than the rest of the current squad. Plus, Pau Victor needs more time to develop. If La Masia is known for one thing, it is producing good midfielders. Darvich is being modified into a RW. Garrido, Prim, Unai, and a few others are waiting in line. Dani Rodriguez is an explosive winger. Do you think he will get a shot with the first team anytime soon? He can play on either flank, much like Raphinha. Then there are Juan Hernandez, Oscar Gistau, Pedro Rodriguez, Quim Junyent and so many more. Who else do you see making way next summer? And, lastly, who makes way for the signing of Diarra this winter from Barca Atletic?

    The Frenkie situation is interesting. He used to play CB for Ajax. He had very good defensive qualities. It all changed after that Valverde tackle. He plays with a bit of fear. I would love to see him higher up the pitch. Considering Olmo can’t stay fit it’s a better option than Fermin

    I think Yamal's dependency is misunderstood heavily. Yes he is only but 17 years young, but the fact is he is world class at 17, if we play him WAY too much he'll break, but now if we DONT play him as much the team is at a loss, and his talent and capacity is lowered, I believe if barcelona get this right, we are looking at one of the greatest players the game has ever seen.
