Another whole night of watching you tie. Thank you sir for not only great how to videos but for the courage to share your work and techniques with us.
Thank you Terry, always nice to get positive feedback.
That couldn't of been a better tutorial. Thanks so much!!
Pleased that you liked it Matt.
You make it look like a piece of art
I know! Its just practice, oh and loads of talent!
@@Thefeatherbender You aren't lying! If I had a fly that pretty I'd mount it on my computer monitor as a decoration instead of feeding it to a fish. If I could tie something that pretty, well then I'd consider feeding it to a fish!
Awesome, you tie so precisely even for a fishing fly. I love feather wings. I just got a Whiting Am variant neck, I'll have to tie some. Thanks Barry 👍
Nice work! I can see you are an artist with the details, every step of the way. A pleasure to watch. Have not tied this in a while..I'll give it a go.
Thanks Mr Thomas, always good to get positive feed back.
Excellent job! The Black Ghost is one of my favorites.
Thanks Michael.
Perfect tie. Love it!
Thanks Zarchy!
Beautiful!!
Hey Barry, beautiful tie. I also love the classics. Living in Maine, U.S.A. I tie a few of Carrie Stevens patterns. I usually use 8x hooks. No particular reason but they do look great on these old hooks. I started tying them on 8x I guess that is why I continue. All the best, Sean
Hows it going fellow 207 brookie chaser here
Beautiful!
Thanks Cheri.
Thats a beautiful fly👍🎣
Thanks Nikolaj.
Super. 👍
👍👏 any chance of a late season Salmon fly for river Don in Scotland. Thank you for your video's.
Super tying💪💪💪Like✌️✌️✌️
Thank you!
Herbert Welch might be proud to have tied his fly so perfectly. Nice work.
A fly with which I wouldn't travel Northeast.
Thanks Paul,nice too think so!
Now all I have to do is get my butt in my tying chair, whip some streamers up and drive.
Beautiful fly! I am fan of your videos. Any suggestions for a jungle cock substitute since capes can be hard to come by and are expensive when you find them in a shop? Or would you recommend pulling the trigger on a low grade cape on eBay?
Barry, great job.. interested in the clip. What make or where did you get it. Looks perfect for the job.

Thanks Peggy, its a artery clip used by surgeons, not sure where it came from but I'v had it 30+ years.
I haven't tied a fly since I was a boy, and poorly-tied streamers were the best I could ever do. Question: my dad used to say that tying the body too long over the rear could lead to a fickle brookie striking short. Thoughts?
👍👍
Subbed.
Thanks for subbing!
Nice one. I see you use extra long hooks. I don't particularly like streamers because the wing can end up wrapped round the hook. The extra long shank would I suspect stop this happening to much. A very handsome looking fly. A mate ties his with the collar hackle ahead of the wing though I think this might mask the jungle cock when the fly is pulled through the water. I like your technique with the clip. I must give it a try.
Thanks Bob, I do love long flies, and for sure if you persevere and fish more with them they will reward you with better and bigger catches!
Is this a salmon fly?
Hi Jeffery, It's most commonly used for trout but can also be used for salmon.
