  • So I decided to visit MaisonStyle London to get a trim and I ended up getting schooled on how to care for my 4c textured hair. It was an insightful visit and I enjoyed every bit of it. Service was 10/10 and I would highly recommend. I hope this video helped you in some way!

Really appreciate how your stylist kept insisting its more about your technique than additional tools and services. Genuinely would go to her because she cares enough to be honest and advise you when she could've just did the service and made more commission off of you as a customer. Really shows her character. Good on her!!!

I love that because too many people are convinced that it's products when it's literally their own technique. And no matter how many times you try to tell them it's their technique they want to just believe its products and their hair rather than they just don't handle their hair correctly. So hopefully hearing a stylist say this will help people listen.

Thank you so much for sharing, especially that Poster in the background!! Once upon a time my hair was unmanageable, shedding, and dry to the bone! Now I use Aphogee Protein Tx and Olaplex, k18, RevAir, and wash every 7-10 days with only a wide tooth comb. Today my hair is thriving, curls are popping, I can finger detangle with my shampoo, and no breakage! Ladies listen to your hair and stick with your staples, your hair will sing your praises! 💗

She gave you some of the best advice. She touched on things I was doing wrong and gave me a whole new perspective about blow drying, heat protectant, air drying and styling.
Thank you so much for sharing this with us.

She’s the first stylist I liked in a long time. I love how she detangles, sectioning the hair, using a wide tooth comb than the wet brush in areas where she sees more tangled. and the fact that she uses medium heat, high speed for blow drying.
Thank you for the tips as well, I fry my Olaplex treatments once every 8 weeks.
I would’ve love to hear why trimming is more than just about split ends.
Your stylist is amazing, I just love how she did not rip through your hair but taking her time. She literally does hair like I do mine at home.

I think you need to finger detangle because your hair texture is softer than 4c and easily tangles more than 4c like 4a/4b or thin 4c. She's giving advice and treating your hair like it's thick 4c but it's not.

Tysm for this video. I just have a couple of questions please.
So I visited their website and saw different packages depending on what you’d like them to do for your hair at the saloon. Please which particular package did you opt for? Was it the wash, treat, blow dry, and trim option?
And did you have to pay for a consultation for her to give you all these advice?
Also, how do you ensure that it’s the head stylist that would attend to you? I’d really appreciate a response. Thanks 💗

    • @deborahboms
      @deborahboms  4 дня назад

I went for wash, blowdry and trim. I didn’t pay for a consultation, she was just really happy to talk with me about my hair. Sad thing is I didn’t get her name but I know you can ask for the head stylist when on a call to book. This lady isn’t the head stylist. If you want to use the lady I used, I’ll advise having a chat with them on IG and referring to my video so they know who you’re talking about.

The plates of the flat iron can be either titanium or ceramic. It’s very easy to get heat damage with titanium plates because it can get too hot and burn your hair.

That not true, finger detangling works for many naturals. No disrespect
Why does your hair look so dry?
Many cosmetologist have gain their knowledge from caucasian European schools.

Dry in comparison to what? The same European standards because some hair does not reflect light well but soft to the touch and that’s what matters !
