    Am 13 my parent ask if I would like to do this to my eyes when am a little older..because I hate wearing classes.i do sports and most of the time I Broke them..and I heard so much about contacts that I don't want them;.can any one answer this question for me."are contacts as bad as people make them sound if so how" and how young do you have to be to go through this surgery?

    • @negidpak
      @negidpak 9 лет назад

      I have undergone surgery a year ago. It is paineless surgery and take about a month for the cornea to heal up. Precaution is must. You may feel haze view when light fall on your eyes during night, but will get used to it eventually. If you love sports you can go for it. But It totally depends on the person personal choice. Consult a good doctor.I did go thourgh a lot of checks before the surgery was done.

    • @calvinchung1195
      @calvinchung1195 10 лет назад

      1500-4000 depending on the experience of the doctor and type of machine hes using. Mine was on the higher end of the range

    • @imcjsombillo
      @imcjsombillo 10 лет назад

      Calvin Chung is it really painless?? and is the doctor gonna give u a medicine that will make you sleep so that u can't really move your eye because it's hard starring a light with our eyes :) please reply just asking..

    • @calvinchung1195
      @calvinchung1195 10 лет назад

      Youre awake and its totally painless. The doc will first put a local anesthesia eye drop so you wont feel a thing and keep rewetting your eye with drops. The light you stare into isnt bright enough to make you want to blink. Just focus looking straight. Even if you move slightly, the machine with correct its positioning. Just give it less work by trying to keep your eyes steady.

    They also do not tell you that the steroid drops after the procedure hasten the onset of cataracts far earlier in life. Absolutely ridiculous. The FDA has a lot of standards for Lasik and a ton of lawsuits have been filed. If your pupils are too big, you can have severe complications. Guess what? A lot of surgeons who do the procedure won't even measure your pupils...thus a lot of the lawsuits are from people after the fact. They care about sales, not your eyes.

    Flap creation is introducing injury to the cornea nerve.

    Check out lasikcomplications dot com to see the ugly truth behind Lasik and Lasek procedures. Even if it corrects your vision and WORKS for you, at night you can see halos, starbursts and other anomalies and some people get their vision for night driving rendered useless after the surgery. Some have had complications and, upon going back for corrections...made their sight even worse the second time when they were trying to reverse it.
