Go to Mexico and Brazil and many other countries, you will hear the locals singing along to The Smiths word for word. The Smiths are from Manchester England.
All British pop of the era, very popular with those who travel, live and work abroad over the long term, past few decades, not recent gig workers necessarily, and everyone from all countries know and love this music, is my experience. For me, loved from teenage years.
Yeah, The Smiths are huge in South America for some reason.
Truly. One of the most beautiful songs ever written. The lyrics, the chords are so beautiful. I’ve heard this song thousands of times and it still brings tears to my eyes.
RIP ANDY ROURKE of The Smiths!!! Your light will never go out to us the fans.
Much love from long island! the smiths are an amazing group and Morrisey is a genius, and this is coming from a hip hop head.
👌🏽
RESPECT BRO🇭🇺👍
As far as I'm concerned in this video you two just listened to, (for the first time,) one of the greatest songs ever written. The Smiths are in my top 2 fav bands. So glad you both liked it!
AND THE CURE?
This is a lesson in morose British humor.
Awesome! This band is loved and adored by their fans. Miss the 80s
I enjoyed watching you guys get into the song. I love the smiths
“Dedicate it to a women he knew” lol
Nope, the rumour is it's actually for Johnny Marr and morriaeys crush on him.
The most important band since the Beatles
In the 80s, many bands were still playing real instrments.
Your reaction to The Smiths got you a new sub - me! There are too many great Smiths songs to list, but I would suggest "This Charming Man". Also today Oct 31 is the birthday of Smith's guitarist Johnny F'ing Marr!!
All my girlfriends used to get ready for the club to this.
Just subscribed! It's so good watching people first hear The Smiths, imagine hearing that 34 years ago for the first time? Please do more you will not regret it and you'll have the support and respect of many devoted fans, many thanks from Australia
now you do get the smiths! nice... he is morrisey, you should react to him too!..
I have to hold back tears every time I hear this song. Itis the anthem of GenX.
Yeah, you me and a bottle of cider each. :)
Absolute top band. Shame Morrisey is a fascist now.
Blah blah blah...🙄
Btw, you spelled his name wrong. I'm a stickler for that stuff. 😉😘
@@KevinLancewicz-ur1dbWhy are you mad that somebody else doesn't like the fact that the lead singer is literally a fascist lmao
He's not ....
why can i hear a baby cry at 4:45
Best song of all time imo
I can't disagree with this.
Great band and song. But your boi there needs to cut down on the hemp.
It’s always cool to see nice people enjoying a great song.
Love that you guys experience the whole song as its meant to be heard in its entirety! I was vibing w u guys
Everyone in America doesn’t get it everyone in South America just gets it straight off north of England and South America must be linked completely in Outlook.
This song is actually about based on gay youths being kicked out of home and having to fend for themselves. Its quite poignant
Love yalls vibe and this reaction. Growing up in Manchester the smiths are a staple for me and so nostalgic. More suggestions to react to from the smiths:
This charming man
Heaven knows I'm miserable now
Bigmouth strikes again
Headmaster's ritual
Half a person
Still ill
Girl afraid
Tbh you can't really go wrong with any smith song they're all interesting in their own right. Although if you decide to react to them again I'd suggest doing it with lyrics. Morrisseys vocals and the overall music can sometimes mean the lyrics get drowned out. And as you heard in this one he has a morbid humour that's a lot of the appeal of the songs in my opinion.
Barbarism is still my fave..as a fellow Mcr scrub
Frankly Mr. Shankly
Pop's greatest love song
lol Dude you look like I'm gunna look in about 20 minutes... after I finish my morning bowl... and my bowl isn't full of cereal either... lol Take care eh... Have you heard of Blur... ( You probably have, they do the woo hoo song... called song 3 ) You should if you havent alreeady do a reaction to Boys & Girls... lol
first time i'm seeing this channel you guys are cool (dude you gotta get out before it's too late, she kept smiling through a ten ton truck crushing two people, i think you are not safe, blink in the next video if you are captivated)
prey for me
love the smiths!!!!!
Memories of better times....
morrissey one of the greatest song writers ever his name is tattoed on my arm
The thing is never let the light go out! ! Tune
❤❤❤500 dias con ella the movie
I love the chill vibe of this channel
I've always interpreted this as being that the character is "queer" which is why they have been thrown out of their house by their family, and just finding the first "someone" to be with, such as the "and in the darkened underpass I thought Oh, God my chance has come at last, but then a strange fear gripped me and I just couldn't ask". They were in the car and wanted to make a move, but felt that they couldn't. Anyhoo, as a queer man growing up back in the day, it really resonated! Take it as you will, but that's just my take...... great reaction, and sub'd. xxooxx
People can say whatever they want about Morrissey, but should never downplay his ability to make people feel seen through his music with The Smiths.
That entire album and this song in particularly I think kept me for totally losing all hope that year. Really rough time in a young guy's life and it was just comforting that someone seemed to get what I was feeling it frame it in such a beautiful way.
You guys are a beautiful couple. 'In the darkened underpass I thought, on God my chance has come at last, but then a strange fear gripped me and I just couldn't ask...'
The smiths are genius
“Take me out tonight” 😢
He was visibly annoyed, and she's the same: seedy people...
the best
My mate, you look Lit-AF!
definatly not about a woman ... is more likely his fans ...
🤣
Kamy already knew the beat and the rhythm.
Very cool
Great stuff, keep it up!
