Hi LorriMarie, we all love your creativity, you always come up with something amazing every time, and that looked really difficult to sew, well done, take care and see ya on the table .X💕🏴
it is not as difficult to sew as you might imagine catherine..as long as the palms have soaked they are pretty pliable...i started another basket today and i am learning to let the palms decide how they are going to move into a shape..so much fun!!!
@@lorrimarie2002 oh yes very tribal !!!!!!!!!!! suuuuper cool !!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ohhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh oh I would love to be there with you making baskets!!!!!!!!!!!!! hugs you tight!!!!!!!! tomorrow night I will do my best for to be online on zoom! hugsssssssssssssssssssssssssssss ♥
oh terri....that is the joy of the dark-o-clock play time...you get to hear the real deal! it is dark o'clock here now and i am enjoying the sounds of the birds! thank you for popping in terri!
Love the pouch. Did you add the banana fibre using the same over and over stitch? Love the process. When you bent the first leaf and it started to crack a little, do they ever break or does the soaking assure they don’t? Love ya.
oh sometimes the palms give a little crack! i put another palm piece over the top like a bandaid and all is well! lol....and the banana fibre...yes...it is twisted and then stitched over the top...over and over and over again....know that i love you heaps julz....oxo
my hands are nice and strong...the palms are quite soft when i am playing with them so my skin is not dry at all....i am glad i have two hands...the left hand is such a good helper to the right hand saskia...lol!!!

So ok, that’s another one I want!!!! I’m curious, I know it’s hard to be exact, but approximately how many hours do you think it took you to make this? Approximately ,. I’d be broke it we lived closer, and have to build an additions in our house to display all the baskets I’d buy 🤣❤️
you are so precious sandi...thank you! so let's see...probably 4- 6 hours to create the basket. depending on what size and shape and decoration...then dry time...then varnish...then another coat of varnish...it takes me about 3 days to create a basket....i think sandi! thank you for asking!
@@lorrimarie2002 No I don't find it boring at all. Maybe if every video you posted was about baskets, but so far I've found it very interesting what you can create from leaves. I find my self thinking "What would I make with them" and one thing that comes to mind is Bird houses to put in your trees. Also How about Journal covers? or 🤣🤣 a raft to put in your pool 😂😂 Have a good week xx
thank you susan for asking! it is a basket....a pouch basket that hangs on the wall....i create the baskets using palm fronds from local palm trees...royal palms and lipstick palms....they need to be wet so that the palms are soft and i can manipulate them and sew them....i hope that answers your delightful questions! go create, go play, go have fun!!!
