thank you for detail explanation , i could not understand it with books .but you nailed it sir ,thank you not for this .for the whole Geoecologist channel . thank you
Sir I have a doubt. In high rainfall region laterite soil is more and we know that. For example let's take Western ghats which receives high rainfall. My question where the accumulation of laterite soil is high? On top of the mountain or at foot hills?
Sir there was a question on pedacals in upsc 2 years back. What about pedacals pedalfer? In which classification it comes? Where can I learn about that?
These soils are examples of zonal soils only...US department of agriculture has given the details on it...Pedocals are soils developed under climates which are too dry to maintain a continuous downward movement of water to the water table. They therefore contain a horizon of accumulation of calcium carbonate (and sometimes other salts also) in the soil profile, usually in the B horizon. Pedalfers are soils developed under more humid climates. They are completely leached and contain no horizon of calcium carbonate accumulation....for details you can find it in any website on google..🍁😊
@@TheGeoecologistsir one more question..is there a difference between soil formation and factors of soil formation? In my exam syllabus, both are given and I am so confused or is it a misprinted one?
These videos are made for the purpose of revision of concepts , could be helpful in any exam where geography is part of syllabus. For full fledged preparation paid courses are recommended or self study in-depth. Best wishes 🌱

You are right 🌱😊

Generally highlands where convectional and orographic rainfall happens have more laterites in comparison to valley bottoms..🌱😊

Sir,instead of USDA classification, can we classify the world soil based on marbutts classification in exam.
Don't plan...learn both and answer in the exam as per the question asked...fixing it pre hand is never a good idea
