- Gulmarg is a place for snow adventure lovers, and you have many options to enjoy the snow in is truest form. From skiing to ATV rides and also small trks to nearby villages, there are many activities that you can enjoy. Howeve, such beautiful places are not very inexpensive and the fun comes at a price and also attracts some tourist traps. I have covered all these things in depth in this vide. You must consider each and every point before going ahead to Gulmarg.

When you buy 500 ml mineral water at cost of 50 rupees from 3 star hotel which is only 20 rupees in market then you don't go to Hotel management and lodge scam complaint???

All scam is being done by poor Horse rider sledge only who toiled hard to pull you and your horse up in top of mountain at difficult terrain!!!

आपने जो बातें बताई है वो बिलकुल सच है, मैं इसी वर्ष अपने परिवार के 13 सदस्यीय लोगों के साथ कश्मीर जनवरी के फर्स्ट week पर गया था। होटल और ट्रैवलर पहले से ही बुक था। हम प्रयागराज से उधमपुर तक ट्रेन से आए और उधमपुर से श्रीनगर तक ट्रैवलर से पहुंचे। मैं भाग्यशाली था या ये कहे कि मेरा होटल वाला मालिक अच्छा था जो 80K रुपए में booked था (सुबह का नाश्ता और रात का डिनर सहित)। ट्रैवलर हमारे साथ पूरे 6 दिन तक साथ ही था, और होटल भी डल झील में था। जिसमे लोकल श्रीनगर sights (सोनमर्ग, गुलमर्ग, पहलगाम और दूध पथरी) के साथ अन्य पर्यटक जगह भी होटल खर्च के साथ शामिल था। गुलमर्ग और सोनमर्ग में जब भी घूमने जाए तो वहां के लोकल लोगों के बहकावे में बिलकुल भी न जाएं, घूमने के लिए दोनों जगह जैसे गुलमर्ग और सोनमर्ग से 2 या 3 km से ज्यादा दूर नहीं थे जिसे कोई भी पैदल घूमकर आ सकता था, लेकिन लोकल लोगों के बहकावे में आपको वे खच्चर, टैक्सी इत्यादि लेने के लिए बोलेंगे कि यहां से काफी दूर तक आपको जाना पड़ेगा ऐसा वैसा बोलकर आपसे पैसे वसूलने की पूरी कोशिश करेंगे, घोड़े के खर्च पहले 1300₹ बताएंगे बाद में काफी bargening के बाद 600 ₹ पर तैयार होंगे ऐसा ही टैक्सी के लिए भी bargening करेंगे। बहरहाल आप जब कश्मीर जाएं, किसी ऐसे दोस्त से जरूर discuss कर ले जो कभी कश्मीर गया हो। बाकी घूमने के लिए कश्मीर वास्तव में बहुत ही सुंदर है और जो जगह मुझे सबसे अच्छी लगी वो थी दूध पथरी।

If you are student then you can easily take sharing can from Batmalu (2 km from Srinagar )to Tanmarg for 100 rs and after then from Tanmarg to Gulmarg there are buses which goes at 10:00 clock which cost 25 per person can't believe but I have gone in 125rs per person we were 5 people's

Thanks a lot, the skiing time was around 20-25 mins, and trust me it’s exhausting. We had to take a proper 1 hour of rest after the session

Dear Tarang, I will be visiting Kashmir for 3 days 20,21 and 22 February 2024. Please guide me should I book the Gandola online or on the spot? Please let me know whether govt. Buses go from Srinagar to Gandola.
It’s better to book on the spot, as you will be assured about the current weather situation there. Govt buses are very very rare to find at Gulmarg
But will I get ticket on the spot as 20, 21 and 22 days falls on snow season and there might be crowd.n@@taranguncut
@@allwynfurtado9146 Unless you are short on budget, it's wise to get the Gandola tickets online beforehand. Especially at least for Phase 1.
Once the tickets go out of stock, there is no way for you to enjoy being up on the mountain.

It doesn’t snow generally in April, but you will find snow on the roads. If the road is clear they will allow your vehicle to go till Gulmarg
I am from kashmir and it doesn't snow in gulmarg in April. However u can find old glacier snow in sonmarg or mountain peaks

Bhaiya mere do sabal hai. 1 kya tangmarg se gulmarg pedal ja sakte hai.. 2. Gandola 1phase ka ticket na lekar treking karte huye jaye 2 phase ka ticket lekar gondola me ja sakte hai
1. Bhai vaise ja to sakte hein, lekin bahut tough hota hai barf mein chalna
2. Gondola phase 1 bahut ooncha hai, trek mein again barf aur time lagega 4-5 hours

Agr hume 4-5din k ly book kiya November k ly srinagar pahalgam gulmarg sonmarg to bhi kya hamari car ko gulmarg tak nhi jane denge. Gandola ride tak nhi milega jane ya fir 1km walk karna hoga. Agr online tkt hai to queue me lagna hota hai ya directly ja sakte hai cable car k pas. Tx for ur such good information
It depends on the amount of snowfall. The weather app shows that it’s is currently snowing in Gulmarg, so maybe they are not allowing normal cabs to go till Gulmarg, and if at your time the snow is less, then they will allow. So it completely depends on the day you are visiting. Also, if the cab is going till Gulmarg you can ask him to drop you at the Gondola station.
Regarding the queue, there is not much of a queue.. it will hardly make a difference if you buy online or directly at the station.

Hi, it’s not possible to take the cab from Srinagar till Gondola, they will take you only till Tangmarg and from Tangmarg you can take a cab till Gondola 🚡

What is first phase and second phase in gondola?
1st phase is 10kms above starting point and second phase is 15kms above the starting point.

Taxi from delhi Airport to taj palace hotel they charge me 6000.rupees
In such cases you must watch some RUclips videos before hand and always use apps like Uber to book Taxis in major cities
It's literally 800 rupees. You should take the taxi from Ola or Uber stand.
