It’s going nuts in the U.K. - social media flooded - sky news running it on the headline breaking news banners - it’s great to see a rock band actually getting some coverage! Like the hat!
I'm in the US as well and I couldn't imagine living in the UK hearing this news today. People are probably going crazy. I know I am. I'm driving my family nuts today.
Have always been a huge Oasis fan and of the individual Gallagher releases as well. I made a video last year speculating about this reunion and knew it was just a matter of time. Very exciting. 🇬🇧
Amazing wonderful j adore , un petit tour en France ça serait magnifique j ai 61 ans et je rêve depuis toujours de les voir et profiter de leurs tubes géniaux ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
30 years after I bought their first album Definitely Maybe... I can watch them again performing next year. The only "problem" is... it won't be televised
I've never been a fan of Oasis, but this is big news for anyone like yourself, Matt! So enjoy a show if you get to see one! Hopefully they come to your area! Enjoy your week, Allan..btw I put up a short recently!
Noel was seen in the studio the other day. Also he has confirmed he has been working on a stadium rock album. Well guess what he now has the perfect front man. He will more than likely at least drop a single before the tour. For all we know it’s already finished bc from the rumors they have been on good terms for almost a year at this point. They have just done an amazing job keeping it quiet
I'll be there if it happens, i really enjoyed their 1st few albums and solo work. I just didn't follow them as much as others did. I just glad music is still filling my life with happiness
Matt pick the live at Knebworth album from 96 released last year..Classic!!!..definitely going to try and see them next year over here in the Uk..the atmosphere will be mental!!
The big announcement *could* just be an anniversary box set for Definitely Maybe. I was never that much of a fan. I like them much better now, but at the time I was discovering and becoming obsessed with the Blues and Motown. I am a huge fan of Noel's High Flying Birds though. I'm very intrigued though! More important than anything, I hope that their personal relationship is mended. Thanks Matt!
10 shows at Wembley is the big rumor, plus the shows in Manchester. A new 30th anniversary 2 CD set for "Definitely Maybe" is out Fri. With a great bonus CD of mostly unreleased early sessions and alternate takes. It's a big week for Oasis fans. I have their second album and a comp. I'm trying out their debut, with this new 30th 2 CD release. I mainly just know the three singles from it. But, it will be interesting to compare the early, aborted sessions with the final album.
2 nights at MetLife, one night at Gillette in Boston, soldier Field in Chicago for two nights, two nights in Toronto two nights in LA at the Rose Bowl and Mexico City
@@matthewstreet1961 the bonkers thing about the rose bowl is it holds 100,000 people and they are going to have the option of a second night. That shows you how much people have missed them. Even in the USA oasis mania is running wild. Also the Gillette Stadium. Show is sep 2nd
not wanting to put a spanner in the works but this week is the 30th anniversary of the first oasis album definatly maybe. the big announcement could possibly be some sort of repackaged version of definatly maybe. also i think if there was going to be a reunion noel whould have turned up at liams leeds or reading festival headline show.
If it is a “reunion” I’ve got a feeling that after a few shows, they will remember, why they broke up in the first place. Kind of like only seeing family on the holidays. You start to have a few drinks, then you’re reminded, why you only see each other once a year. They might just be releasing a new greatest hits 🤔
Yes! Very true! That leads me to my next thought…”Hope springs eternal!” If all goes well, this tour could very well inspire them, to record another album. Fingers crossed 🤞🏼
I`m British and like Oasis and will try to see them if they tour USA cos like missing out on Stone Roses i cannot keep missing out seeing this band. Some fans in UK got rinsed paying such high prices.Dont see them as a huge band like The Who or Rolling Stones but they are up there as a stadium sellout band certainly.
It'd be great if they'd release a new album. Maybe they'll get back together live just to see if they can do it successfully as a full unit. If so - maybe then a new album. I'm sure they could record a new album - but it might be kinda White Album like sessions with the 2 brothers in separate studios. maybe they want to do it like they did in the beginning. If they get back together, that'd be real nice....BUT....I've always been more a Noel fan. He wrote almost all the music (especially in the first 3-4 albums). His solo (High Flying Birds) albums and songs are spectacular. Liam might have some really good solo stuff, but I'm just personally not too keen on his vocal-style. Big Noel fan here....But I do have all the Oasis albums and really love what they got going on there. Got to thank the grunge era for turning my ears away and finding bands like Oasis and Radiohead. When the grunge era hit, I found a sorta new British invasion. Anyway - hope it all works out well for the lads. Thanx for the information, Matt. We'll see tomorrow what's going on. Until then, take care, my friend.
I suspect you’re gonna see the guitarist and drummer from Noel’s band as part of the reunion, since they’re currently in his band and both were with oasis at the end and in Beady eye . Bonehead will probably pop up at some shows to do a few songs ,but he’s sick right now .maybe Andy bell back to play bass since he was there at the end and with Beady eye? Paul doesn’t want to come back . Alan, no chance as well. Maybe Tony comes back to play a song or two at some shows . But yeah , Noel , Liam, gem,Chris ,and who knows who on bass. That’s the reunion lineup .
Hopefully rock not dead sick and tired of that Sosp opera depression pop music and Taylor Swift Swifties! To bad The Beatles couldn't do it! And change the world again with there reunion! Maybe Paul and Ringo can get back together some kind of way! Thanks Matthew
It's funny that next weekend marks the 30th anniversary of the release of Definitely Maybe, and there's be no news of an anniversary remaster or remix release to mark the occasion. If they get back together that is great news and very exciting, but will they reunite and make new music? That interests me more. I just hope it dosen't become a Rolling Stones scenario where they just do the greatest hits tour circuit, but I can't believe that they'd do that, I hope not. But we'll just have to wait and see....
Actually, there's a new 30th anniversary 2 CD set for "Definitely Maybe", out this Fri. It contains a bonus CD with the aborted first sessions for the album. Plus a bunch of alternate takes from the album's sessions. The main album is the remaster from 2014's 20th anniversary set.
whats the odds on them not finishing this tour ?...i wonder if Paul Weller will smash Noels windows, he said many years ago to Noel..."if you reform OASIS, ill pass your house every day and smash your windows"....so Noel hated Phil Collins because he said "Phil Collins has reached that age where he tours to pay for divorces" !...what goes around !

nah don't go the conspiracy route with this. sometimes people just need to stay away from each other for a while, and go and see the world from other perspectives. It was definitelyyl the case for these two brothers with HUGE egos. now after they've done their solo endeavors for several years, it was time to reunite Oasis
