Its not always in their control. The problem with being such a successful side in the year before the mega auction is that other teams want to strip their side for parts and there is only so much money they have. DC and MI went through this after 2021 and neither side has full recovered yet.

Been a KKR supporter since IPL started. Still remember first few seasons when it wasn’t doing well , my colleagues used to make fun of KKR as they were supporters of DD, PKgs and RCB, MI. But still had always soft corner for KKR first due to Dada and then GG. Glad I stuck through all these years. Admirer of GG for his no nonsense approach in his public and sports life.
