In a near-future society, The Running Man is the top-rated show on television-a deadly competition where contestants, known as Runners, must survive 30 days while being hunted by professional assassins, with every move broadcast to a bloodthirsty public and each day bringing a greater cash reward. Desperate to save his sick daughter, working-class Ben Richards (Glen Powell) is convinced by the show’s charming but ruthless producer, Dan Killian (Josh Brolin), to enter the game as a last resort. But Ben’s defiance, instincts, and grit turn him into an unexpected fan favorite-and a threat to the entire system. As ratings skyrocket, so does the danger, and Ben must outwit not just the Hunters, but a nation addicted to watching him fall.

The #RunningManMovie is opening around the world starting this Wednesday!
got mah tickets for wednesday
What is the song playing in the trailer?
@russdykes6446 underdog . by sly & the family stone
Ok
I edited the video 📹
"ll' be back!"
"Only in a rerun."
Still the best comeback to that catchphrase I've ever heard.
I just came to make the same comment. And he did come back just minus Arnie
@purefoldnz3070 They need to have Arnie in as a cameo or something
yep..but it also had the WORST comeback in history...when he beat Sub Zero.."Hey Killian...Sub Zero now Plain Zero".....HORRIFIC!! It makes no sense and goes no where!! It still bothers me to this day. The comment should have been "Hey Killian!!..Sub Zero...OUT COLD!"
@GreenFenril as Captain Freedom for sure, coming out of retirement
One of the top three uses, bested only by The Terminator (the OG), and Twins (when Arnie says it with genuine quiet menace).
So excited for this documentary about America.
So dramatic
@timothypatch5080Yet so accurate 😂😂😂
cringe
Yep if Democrats were in charge
It's...almost....like American version of Squid Game
You can tell Coleman Domingo is having the time of his life playing the Caesar Flickermann type host
When I saw him in that role, I thought that’s a perfect character for him.
When is Michael dropping that’s what I want to know
@cipyah Same. He's probably gonna go full camp like Jason Momoa in Fast And Furious lol. Coleman gonna body this role similar to how he did with Fear The Walking Dead
This character predates that one by a few decades though
Why did you copy that same reddit comment?
Fun Fact: The Running Man, published in 1982, is set in 2025.
not true ruclips.net/video/n74ibtuN9I4/video.html
@RadicalMT15it is, look on google or read the book
@RadicalMT15 it is indeed true...in the book,it is the year 2025!!!!
@RadicalMT152017 is when the world economy collapses.
OK 😏 but why no one ever did the movie End Of The World of 21 March 4006... 🤔?!
✌️😎🔪💢⭕
0:26 Seeing Arnold Schwarzenegger on the $100 bill is pretty sweet! We may never get King Conan, but at least we got President Schwarzenegger lol.
Sorry, I blinked.
The OG Running Man
We got that several times. Remember the Schwartzenegger presidential library? :)
Great spot!
King Conan is what the world needs
I'm sure it'll be more book accurate than the Schwarzenegger film but I really do love the Schwarzenegger film.
I love the Schwarzenegger film. But like the original film is one is going to be fun and entertaining.
The last Schwarzenegger remake I saw certainly wasn't just like the book
This is honestly a perfect balance. They keep the sense of joy and humour that the Schwarzenegger film had while also being as faithful to the book
I can confirm having read the book that there’s definitely elements in this trailer that were in the book but not in the 1987 film.
Loved it as a kid, but it surely hasn't aged well.
Do I really need to be told that the "Trailer Starts Now", after I just clicked on the trailer to watch it? 🤔
I saw your face. You seemed totally confused about what you clicked on. They only wanted to help you. So ungrateful.
This man would be excellent at CinemaSins *ding*
Yes
This video isn't only shown on youtube
But how else am I supposed to know when it starts?
Glen Powell is a talented actor. Glad to see he's getting more movie roles.
Glad he took Tom Cruise's advice to be in Top Gun Maverick even though he wasn't cast as Rooster like he wanted.
If you feel it!
@Bobby-m4h3lchase it!
Words I didn't think I'd say anytime soon. He absolutely crushed it. Excellent movie.
Are you serious? He's a horrible actor. Only getting roles cause someone in Hollywood likes his..likes him 😂
I just wanna see Glen dramatically shout: "Here is Sub-Zero… now, Plain Zero"
dude should've been johnny cage
He won't be doing that as Sub-Zero was only in the hyped-up American-Gladiators-on-acid Arnie vehicle of a movie that they made nearly 40 years ago. This isn't a remake of that film, it's a new and more accurate adaptation of the (excellent) book, and will - IMHO - be much better because of that 😃
@squattermadras Yeah most likely, Still the Arnie version has a charm that is nowadays gone from cinema.
You know, I watched that movie as a kid when it first came out, and then maybe a dozen or more times in the subsequent years.. I never understood what Arnie was saying there until I rewatched it with subtitles on early this year... When I was a kid, I thought he said, "Now playing zero", because his character was a hockey PLAYER.. But I wasn't entirely sure. Finally saw what he said a few months back. "PLAIN zero".. and, now, here we are.. Full circle. Ha ha
Youre thinking about a movie which has nothing to do with the incredible book. Although from what im seeing neither does this one very much so *JUST READ THE NOVELA AND SKIP THIS*
Can we all take a moment and soak in how ahead of his time Stephen King was when he published this book all the way back in 1982?
Reaganomics. What GHW Bush called "voo-doo" economics in 1980 (because it was crazy and doesn't work). It's what's in the bill the senate is trying to pass as we speak. They are still pretending it works. (Or we could go back to England and Jonathan Swift's "Modest Proposal". King wasn't ahead of his time. He was just paying attention.)
Yep. He created so many great novels in different genres. Dude is genius.
You mean how he copied prize of peril by Robert sheckley without ever giving credit?
Big facts he literally told the future of TV
@festo512 never heard of it
Glad to see Edgar Wright is BACK!
After Baby driver
WAAAAAAAAAAAAY TOO LONG
@movieup326he made 2 films after Baby Driver
@movieup326 Last Night in Soho was his last movie, but it was very different
He definitely just took the paycheck for this gig. Talk about slumming it
Saw it yesterday and i got two words absolute cinema
Feels like the highest-rated show in the Starship Troopers movie universe.
"Would you like to know more?"
dumb
I hope they make a big production version of The Long Walk
Nice reference! I was actually just reading the original novel. It’s scary how a story from the 1950’s rings alarmingly true today.
No real spoilers, but that was similar theme for training in the OG Heinlein Starship Troopers story.
Candidates were dumped to go survive out there, & one of them in Rico's class snapped & murdered a civilian, so they hunted him down & formally hung him.
"I am doing my part!"
It says Edgar Wright, im buying tickets.
it also says based on a novel by Stephen King, i too will be buying tickets
I'm still asking for refunds for Last Night in Soho
@NeverSaySandwich1you ain’t gonna get any
he's the no.1 "shut up and take my money" director for me
Im going to watch it but I still like the 80s version
1:57 That’s Michael Bacall btw (co-writer of this movie and Scott Pilgrim vs the world). Also love seeing Michael Cera teaming up with Edgar again 😁
Just noticed he does a little peace sign as the cameras (both of them) are following Glen Powell running out of there XD
Ah yes, the guy in Scott Pilgrim who said “Yeah, is he a pirate?” What a guy
He also wrote 21Jump Street
Just finished watching this at the movie 🎥 theater (cinema) TWICE. It’s DEFINITELY worth a watch
there's no way someone watched this twice...
I KNOW RIGHT?!?!
First half was great, second half the movie fell off. Glenn Powell was great though.
@Caravaggio-cg6mwright
@Caravaggio-cg6mwThis is America! Bots in full action!
"I gotta grenade "
Back at ya ☠️💀🤣
*proceeds to hot potato it*
Is it me or is that Nicolas Cage kicking the grenade back? Nevermind, it's Lee Pace, I looked it up.
@cable7152Who asked?
Uhm, I think he said "I got a grenade", gotta grenade doesn't even make sense.
@Adam-mk6dmdude are you a bot?
"Drop Dead"
" I don't do requests"
"Well That Hit The Spot."
"Hello cutie pie"
"now plain zero"
"One of us is in big trouble "
“What happens to Buzzsaw?”
“Eh… He had to split.”
The plot of this movie aged extremely well.
It looks like it's tracking to meet with reality by the time of its release!
What reality are you living in?
@sd-11-11-sdMr Beast 100% guaranteed to make this a real thing before the movie releases
Dystopia stories tend to age far better than Utopia ones.
Sad, but true.
Best movie I’ve watched this year! Will watch it again!!
Although this is a better representation of the original novel, I REALLY love the 80's take with Arnold.
Yeah, the reality is that the novel wasn't that great at ALL. The concept was awesome, but the story was meandering and didn't really seem to highlight the gravitas of the situation that they were in. It should have been way more frantic and King should have further highlighted the anxiety they were going through. It was depicted like a very dangerous camping excursion with randoms rather than a life or death situation.
The Arnold movie made it WAY more high-stakes (as it should have been) and depicted the seriousness of the situation even with a bit of lampooning going on. Never for a moment did you think the guys were safe or that the situation wasn't that serious. Hopefully they take the concept of King's novel but gives it the gravitas and danger of Arnold's film.
This looks more like a remake of the Arnold movie, not the novel.
"Da Butcher of Bakersfield" is pleased.
@Billy-bc8pksomewhat true of most of the Bachman books. I’m glad they are taking more of the concept than the original movie though.
@Billy-bc8pkwhen you threw in the long walk story and this, the full versions, I thought the original story was more like that ice t movie surviving the game or whatever
Nice to see a remake that isn't actually a remake but a more book accurate adaptation.
The story in the book took place in the year 2025 .
The tone is a little more silly than I was hoping for
Sure buddy
I doubt they will actually match the ending of the book, though. That would be political taboo.
@Gwangju1980yup especially because of 9/11
I appreciate that they appear to be doing a much more faithful adaptation to the original story.
They probably won't stick to the ending.
@ryanbrets7695Guaranteed they won't.
@ryanbrets7695 there's a chance 1:44 reminds me the final act before Ben crashes the plane into the free-vee building
@humansonic32mr.harinezumi71Looking back at the trailer it probably will end that way yeah. Considering he's sticking up his middle finger.
This looks NOTHING like the vibe, aesthetic, or quality of the original. They completely missed the mark. This new one there were going for a comedy which is NOT AT ALL what the old one is. It's sad that this new trash is even acceptable to people today especially when such a cheesy 80s original blows this out of the water.
2:21 I love how he says "I'm still here" 😂
Ikr 🤣
Kinda has a heath ledger joker vibe..
looking for those upvotes?
Spoilers ahead --- In Steven King's book, Ben Richards is required by the game show rules to send in a video twice a day proving that he is alive. If he fails to provide the video, he loses any chance to win prize money but the Hunters will still keep chasing him. So he's using the required video he has to send to taunt the Hunters and any of the general public who is trying to find him.
1:37 For me, it was the way he said “Stop filming me!” that got me laughing.
So this is basically Edgar Wright does a Stephen King adaptation... I'm sold and excited for it.
It was only a matter of time
And Stephen King will probably approve this movie
It's not basically that, it's literally that.
@kishenchohan1286 Well he does like money
it's basically Edgar Wright (UK) does a "Le Prix du danger" (FRA) remake.
Look, I love the Arnold version. But this looks like they at least actually thumbed through the book.
Its Edgar Wright after all. He'll make it as faithful as possible while being entertaining
Never read the book but this looks horrid compared to original movie 😂
They are gonna change the ending like the Arnold one, unfortunately…
Same thing could be said about Total Recall with Colin Farrell, and that movie flopped hard.
Nah, let's keep the same energy for the gatekeepers, the Arnold version was trash..it was nothing like the book
This movie looks more action-packed than the original movie, but I still love Arnold's one-liners whenever he kills the Stalkers! Plus, the non-stop camera movement in this trailer makes this movie even better!
1:35 Running like Tom Cruise 😄
Both starred in top gun maverick
He’s the hier apparent for sure
He might end up starring in future mission impossible films
Well, he is down to take over from Tom in Mission.
In an interview Glenn said he asked Tom about running, so that tracks.
1:06 Should a Wolfenstein movie ever be made, he should play BJ Blazkovic.
I was trying to figure out who he looked like and THAT'S IT.
Him or Alan Ritchson
@markcoakley1886I think Alan Ritchson makes more sense, honestly.
It’s a crime that Glenn Powell was not casted to play Johnny Cage for the Mortal Kombat movie
I would love a Wolfenstein movie with Alan Ritchson, that first game isn’t talked about enough but here’s my question if it’s ever made into a movie. Which timeline would they do? Fergus or Wyatt?
I love the fact that King wrote the source material while teaching, over February vacation, and the plot is essentially timeless 🤘
What?
lol. This is a remake of an Arnold Schwarzenegger film. What are you talking about.
@NOTLeavingLVKing wrote a few books under a pen name (Richard Bachman) so he wouldn't saturate the market back in the '80s. Both adaptations are based on his source material: ruclips.net/video/222BGr0wdzA/video.htmlsi=oPGPiFNsVFEo5114
@NOTLeavingLVit's not a remake, it's a second attempt at adapting a Steven King book to film
He wrote it during the commercial breaks of a Red Sox game.
Let me share this. This movie is ultra amazing. It give a nostalgic 1980s Hollywood blockbuster feel with the action and excitement. You will cry, feel the rush and adrenaline like it was you in the movie. This what cinima needs.
Me: "Meh, do we really need another senseless remake for..."
Directed by Edgar Wright
Me: "Well, that changes everything, I'm down!"
Literally me!😂
The original movie was *very* loosely based on the Bachman novel. Allegedly, Wright wanted to stick much closers to the source material. The scene in the airplane really makes me wonder if he's actually going to do the book ending, which be controversial to say the least.
😂👍
I just hope its not like the Total Recall remake. That was the only film I remember disliking in the cinema.
I mean there’s not enough action movies for me personally. So I’m ready for it.
Richard Dawson was perfect as the villain in the original 1987 film.
I don't think they will find anyone better.
I bet Steve Harvey could nail it.
Richard Dawson was the combination of two different characters in that adaptation. He was great in the role as it was for that movie, but if his character had just been the producer and not the host as well, we wouldn't be discussing him.
A lot of the 80s adaptation is exclusive to that film, not the novel, so let's leave what came with that film with it. Seeing as how this adaptation is closer to the novel, that's the only comparison needed.
@JosephGeorgeDeka Kenan Thompson could do it better. 😆
@Fluoride_Jones pfft. 😆
@YOLOsapien To be fair the original book didnt really highlight the game show host very well and the 1987 movie was better off for making Richard Dawson a major factor. In the book I believe there are only 2-3 paragraphs on the game show host.
This is just a typical Monday
Saw the Movie and it was great!
Fun fact, This movie is from the writing of Stephen King and in one scene they show the Derry Police Department and the Hunters seemed to have the last names of the characters from the movie "IT".
2:22 I think this moment sells me on the whole vision they're going with here. Neither the dark bleakness of the novel, nor the glitzy 80s testosterone action of the first movie. This is its own thing; it looks like a more faithful adaptation of the novel, with its own tone.
Your statement is self contradicting. You say it's a more faithful adaptation whole also saying it won't have the bleakness of the novel on the same comment.
@TheShawnMower More faithful does not mean perfectly faithful, as the Arnold version was not faithful at all. So, I win, and your argument is weak. Goodbye.
@patron7906 I get what you were saying, that guy was just being pedantic. I hope it has some of the environmental stuff in there but it really looks like it captures the tone if not the exact series of events.
@kylehajek3037 Pedantic isn't the right word. Wrong is what you meant to say. The OP is correct. The movie is more faithful but thats just because the Arnold movie was probably 3% faithfull and this one looks to be about 40% faithfull.
It is like Glasgow City centre on a Friday night. Bleak. Mental. Mindless, comedic violence.
The editing is top-tier. Seriously impressive
So was 28 years later
Whats not impressive... is its not original. .fancy doing a remake of an arnie movie.
@GFanale8798 It's a more accurate adaptation of a Stephen King book.
Well it is Edgar Wright.
Disagree. Looks generic
Not Colman Domingo channeling Stanley Tucci from the Hunger Games 😭😭😭
So great to have Edgar Wright back.
Richard Dawson who was the original host of Family Feud starred in the original film as Killian.
@Globalman43Richard Dawson was an absolute natural in that role, this new guy looks so completely over acted and ridiculous
He looks incredibly goofy. Reminds me of Terry Crews hosting AGT.
@Cousineddy77 no he doesnt he looks great
@Cousineddy77 Colman Domingo isn't Killian in this one. Josh Brolin is.
The remix of Sky Stone’s ‘Underdog’ for this is a stroke of genius.
I'm glad that I'm not the only one who noticed. Insane that the song is almost 60 years old now, but it's one of my favorite Sly tracks.
Definitely more a closer adaptation of the King story, which is wonderful to see. And Edgar Wright knows how to bring action, substance and style. Totally pumped for this!
closer? The first one wasn't an adapation at all, they just noticed that the novel and the script had some similarities so they bought the rights so to not be sued
The original didn't really have much to do with the source material.
Original way better
While the original was unlike the book, the original was completely epic
Have to take your word. I haven't read too much, Richard Bachman. 😉
I love the actor who's playing the host. He's got insane energy. And if this version is more accurate to the book we're in for a crazy ride!
Coleman Domingo; you probably remember him from that Sabrina Carpenter video. And yes, he's a fabulous actor.
He's 'zesty'.
@itsjemmabond no, I remember from the walking dead.
He’s a queen what else you expect 🤣🤭
0:27 that’s gotta be Arnold’s face on the money, right? 😂
Right
0:26 yeah 😂
would really love to see Arnie make an appearance, maybe he can be someone who hunts him down
Only noticed because I paused it to check the girly out... very cool easter egg
Wait so is this a sequel?
“Stop filming me!”
"Well, that hit the spot!" 😂😂😂
I hope they somehow squeeze Arnold in there for a special guest appearance
Look closely at the dollars the woman is holding in her hands at 0:26. Guess whose face that is?
@iDeever Nice catch!
They won't.
I'd really rather them not
@iDeever GET OUT OF HERE! Incredible catch. President Arnold 😆
The long walk and now the running man! Nice
Wait, they did Long Walk???
Thankyou for bringing this to my attention!
@347Jimmy I saw the trailer last week.
@XXniccloXX it looks great
I'm excited, Long Walk was my favourite of the Bachmann Books
I'd love to see all of them faithfully adapted
The Rage would be... controversially received aha
@347Jimmy sadly King has disavowed Rage. pulled from publication even.
I know that they could never do it these days, but I wish there was a movie for "The Rage" from Bachman.
I got a grinade.....😂
1:27 William H. Macy 😀
Who invited Frank
1:40 Michael cera 😊
Mr. Kirby
Aka Frank Gallagher from Shameless(USA)
@lukedaley17id love to see Shameless fans watch *Fargo*
I like the idea of the unique hunter killer characters from the original movie, rather than just everyone hunting you down
Exactly. That was interesting. This feels more like half a dozen other movies I've seen (Jackpot comes to mind).
This is more faithful to the Book.
HERE IS SUBZERO. NOW PLAIN ZERO!
IDK, being hunted by absolutely everyone is more interesting to be than being hunted by only 5 freaks
@bouncingbluesoul5270the book isn’t always better. ESPECIALLY when it comes to King.
For those who watched the original movie with Schwarzenegger, this is a lot closer to the original tale by Richard Bachman. King was way ahead of the curve with this one.
What? The movie is drastically different than the King book? No way! 😂
True but i still miss Sub Zero
@frankferrero5827 Another nostalgic money grab.
@Motor7Mike Now Plain Zero!
@frankferrero5827 It's a two minute trailer, they aren't showing everything. And I don't know what you mean 'no airplanes' when they showed Ben on the airplane....
And as far as the recording device, remember that it was published in the 80s, imagining a future based on 80s technology. In 2025, how things are recorded and mobile recording devices are drastically different. Drone recording makes much more sense considering the trajectory of technology and the fact the novel took place in 2025.
I just saw it and it was great. One of the best action movies of the year.
I know it’s supposed to be more true to King’s novela than the 1987 movie (of which I’m an old school fan), but how is it in regard to the original movie in your opinion? I’m thinking about going to watch it tonight.
😂 please repeat! One of what?
BEST MOVIE OF 2025 PERIOD
no
I'm not being funny. Are you paid to write this?
2:39 a testament to Dynamo back in ‘87.
They’ve managed to keep the sense of joy and humor from the 1987 film while staying faithful to the book, striking a perfect balance. Edgar Wright just doesn’t miss, so I’m absolutely seated for this one.
I FORGOT THIS WAS WRIGHT. So pumped.
how do you know they are staying faithful to the book? the book as far as I remember is by far not as flashy.
@anton7354 At least it's throughout the city and everyone is hunting him. That's from the book.
Actually the original news closer to the book and nothing can beat the schlocky 80's cheese
Is this really how the book was? The whole country was hunting them? So not like the Arnold movie where it was a section and the nation was watching??
1:37 "stop filming ME!!!" 😂😂😂
Get those upvotes!
@casedistorted Sir, Reddit is down the hall and to the left.
Nobody does the running man better than Arnold Schwarzenegger
2:32 Scott Pilgrim after Ramona Left her for Obi Wan
Love Colman Domingo’s energy here. What a perfect role for him!
Really? Felt like he was too over the top. Almost cheesy.
He's channeling his inner victor strand
He’s a game show host. Duh.
He's the best.
@ambskater97doesn’t mean any person can get it right.
"Drop dead!"
"I don't do requests."
What song is that at 1:50? Anybody know then please get back to me.
Underdog By Sly & The Family Stone
4 Stephen King movies in 1 year, ( The Monkey, The Long walk, Life of Chuck and this) what a time to be alive.
Yes
I hope any ONE of them can last past Weekend #3. I have NO HOPE they'll be around next year - not even in conversation. The original doesn't get much press. but at least it's still As Fun As Ever.
Plus an upcoming series 🥳
@cooperminion825 Boy... my hopes took a DEEP DIVE with this statement. This orig film was basically a sound-stage used for filming. This film looks like there are more outdoor shots - far more expensive - and thus a TV series will strip those away, water them down and create a 'demand' without supplying satisfactory settings.
HOWEVER, if they supply a sideways camera AND a Robin-like character, maybe Running Man can become Walks-Up-Building-Sides for guest stars!
@Sam53Morganthe series is The Institute. So far, my main complaint is that they aged the kids up from middle school age to high school age
Two Steven King movies
One about running
One about walking.
I’m seeing the one about running.
The long walk was also quite incredible
Wait, the Running Man but its actually accurate to the book!?
Nah, marvel-ized
Highly doubt it will end with Ben crashing a plane into a building for ... reasons.
Looks as bad, if not worse, than the first stab they took at it. I'll settle for The Long Walk this season, thank you very much.
@SkaraBraenI just read both books, Long Walk and Running Man, and both movies look true to the source material. I can't wait to see Mark Hamill in the long walk.
Duhh
I will never listen to bad reviews again! Sick film!
You should always listen to bad reviews because more often than the non bad ones do you get honesty about it, I often watch them and have watched a movie because of them as even though in their opinion the movie was bad I enjoyed it. As bad reviews are because they had a opinion or expectation of what they should be seeing.
This movie due to having watched the first one made me not looking forward to it, but I am going to watch it, but it is so far away from the books and the original movie it's sad.
I remember seeing the original Arnold movie as a kid and then reading the book a few years later. I was confused by why it was so different. The original movie just took the concept of a running person as a game show and that was it. Everything else was different, except for the name. This looks much closer to the original book. There's one scene in the book I'm hoping they have in the new movie. They probably won't, but I'd love it if they did.
Idk... If we are thinking of the same scene the trailer kinda implies we might get it. Which would be absolutely insane
Nobody tell him about The Lawnmower Man
@DamienPaulLabontelol I'd watch both a short film of that, and a full length somehow book accurate remake of that. Because that would probably end up being more insane than the "in name only" version of that we got.
@Fang_Swayat least it had a lawnmower in it, even if it wasn't Pans Metal Teeth filled mouth
Airplane with man's who's guts creeps on floor, hits corporate building? I think not, they are afraid of 9/11 associations.
No one can do a better Killian than Richard Dawson did.
he was a game show host in real life - the new guy errm not sure !
Killian is being played by Josh Brolin in this version. The host is a different character because this is close to the book and the host wasn't Killian in the book.
I knew they got Glen Powell, but I didn’t realize how stacked the cast was! Plus Edgar Wright! Oh this might be special!
This is out in November and its really only got Wicked Part 2 and Predator Badlands coming out in that month
@kishenchohan1286 Zootopia 2 is coming out too
Yeah, “special needs”.
I’ve never read the original King novel, but this looks like a complete riot. “Deranged mashup of John Wick/The Hunger Games/Idiocracy” is right up my alley, and it seems like they’ve assembled an amazing cast and crew.
Loved it!was Brilliant
I see the final fight scene in the plane but considering how "fun" this looks and how scared studios are of true adaptations, I don't think it will have the same ending
They will Most likely go for the Hollywood ending.
We've also had 9/11 since the book was published...
Don't jinx it,that ending needs to happen
Idk, its edgar wright..i think he goes there
Yeah, the trailer feels a bit too "action-adventurey" for that. But... it _is_ a November release, not a summer movie, so there's maybe _some_ chance.
This is not a REMAKE people! It's another adaptation of the book.
Exactly, people are kind of stupid.
@josssmith Kind AND stupid.
to be more specific: It's a more FAITHFUL adaptation of the book
@stuffedcinema7374 Doesn't look faithful at all, the book wasn't about wacky action comedy scenes
Re-adaptation doesn't roll off the tongue as well, I guess.
1:20
My head-canon is that this guy isn't the protagonist but a random person who has the misfortune of looking EXACTLY like him.
Awesome Movie!!
may be obvious but i just noticed that tracking shot in the apartment is from the drones perspective. so cool!
Colman Domingo hit those lines with absolute perfection.
on 2:22 looks like me saying this
“I’m still here, ya %^*=eaters!”
Same fr
This had better ending than stranger things.
I saw Edgar Wrights name and I am deffo gonna see this on the big screen.
2:13 seems like jack reacher
My gosh I love that show
The Long Walk and The Running Man both look great. Awesome time to be a Stephen King fan.
Those two tales could be a shared universe.
Warning Warning number 47
This is your third and final warning😢
As long as they keep Stephen away from having any say on the film it will be fine, he ruined Under the dome and many others
All they did is make what could be a gritty movie about classism into a remake of the 80s action schlock movie.
@PatrickSilent I was going to comment that, they could be
ayo! shout out to the one created this trailer....this is straight fire!
When you see Edgar, you know you've got the Wright man for the job.
I want you gone by sundown today
" Say that again "
It's a very cheap joke. Very very cheap.
@MinekEzQM Most affordable comedy in town. 👌🏽
Dinamo was played by Erland Van Lidth a Dutch American and former wrestler. He studied computer science at MIT unfortunately he died of heart failure at age 34 and one day after his first wedding anniversary.
😢
Well thanks for depressing us all with that information.
Ok
He also played Grossberger in Stir Crazy and was a Baritone and then transitioned into a Dramatic Tenor.
Perfect role for reacher lol
Am I the only one disappointed by the lack of the yellow suits ??
I realize this is going to be a bit less like the 80's movie, and I'm excited for that, but can we at least get John Cena or Dwayne Johnson as a spokesman for an aerobics show?
Edgar Wright clearly got whoever did the Baby Driver trailers to do this one too
Let's hope this movie is better than 'Baby Driver' because that movie sucked.
@its_a_MADD_worldWith that opinion, you may leave my thread
@michaeljohn1978 fr
Im so excited for this movie, the amount of times I’ve watched the trailer is insane. The way the gunshots match the music…. So SATISFYING
The music alone is a banger
@PerfectCell_10what song it is?
@kevinfarrelsaifan2849Well… the song that’s gonna be in the movie
That's an Edgar Wright special, music that weaves into the scene.
@kevinfarrelsaifan2849Sly & The Family Stone "Underdog"
If they just make the movie exactly as it was written , it would probably win an academy award. If you’ve read it, you know exactly what they are going to change and why and that sucks. If they made Roadwork exactly like the novella, there’s no probably. It would rack up Oscars
This is both not what I was expecting at all and, in hindsight, absolutely what I should have expected from Edgar Wright, lol
Finally a remake, that isn't a repeat!
Jurassic Park with mendacious Hammond needs to be next.
This is clearly a much closer adaptation of the novel than the movie with Arnold. Looking very much forward!
Wont be anywhere near as iconic haha. The lines Arnold has in that movie are so legendary.
Just hope it ends differently 😉
@Omnivolvhere’s Subzero, now Plainzero
@Omnivolv this movie looks more closer to the fun tone of the original movie while being more faithful to the book.
Glad that they didnt simply rebooted it blindly. Remember Total Recall ? Almost soullles. Running Man looks legit fun.
First time in my life i watched a trailer more then once, this looks like a blast!
I guess i ll have to go in a cinema after many years!
I m a huge fan of Colman Domingo since his fear the walking dead early days and i really like Glen Powell in this role.
The way I smiled through this trailer. I saw the first movie when I was young and I liked it. Then in high school, I read the book and was blown away how infinitely better the original story was. I always wished they would remake the movie with the actual story and I have to say, this one looks extremely promising. I can't wait to see it. I just hope they will keep the ending.
Just saw it. Didnt keep the ending 😓
Scott Pilgrim earned the power of beard
Anyone old enough to remember the original?
Just watched it ....wow ....amazing movie...
1:40 Running Man sponsored by Netflix
I'm glad they made it closer to the original book
Looks fun but will they have the balls to actually do the ending of the book it's brutal
I’ve read the book a few times over the last ten years. I think he only manages 10 days out of the whole 30 days. And the second half of the book is him holding a middle-class suburban woman hostage in her car before the final showdown on the plane with the hunter. I hope they make the second half more exciting in the film 😅
Considering that this is Edgar Wright's movie and his previous works such as Baby Driver...I think yeah, he will had the balls to do that. Especially considering shots with airplane in trailer
Highly unlikely they’ll go with the ending of the novel exactly. You’re right that it was pretty ballsy for 1982, but it looks different post-9/11. Even King thinks so.
Where's the movie?!
I can't find it!
It's on Paramount+ it showed up for me right when I turned on the app. The first section that automatically plays before Your Next Watch
Edgar Wright? Sold. Can’t wait to see it! Glen Powell is just an added treat.
Powell hasn't wowed me in anything yet, too much of a Cruise wannabe from the bits I've seen. However, Edgar Wright and Stephen King means I will see this film anyway and maybe Powell can bring something new to his performance.
