      Tuan Tran we haven’t gotten much into Arkansas. I think all of our videos there are within a few miles of the border.

    Can y’all come and travel on Texas SH 71? It’s an junction off of I-10 after passing through Columbus Texas Colorado County...SH 71and ends in Blessing Texas in Travis County...It will take you through Colorado,Fayette,Bastrop,and Travis

      That's a possibility when we get out that way again. We have a lot of I-10 left to film, so eventually, that will take us back to Texas.

      You guys should cover I-10 in Jefferson & Orange counties! My home stretch of interstate

      74ryanwolf I-10 West, as far as we can get, is on our to do list. When we resume our traveling in the spring, that will be one of the first things we do.

    I dream of roads this quiet.

      Andrew Leader virtually no traffic. You'll see why over the next few videos.

      504RoadTrips that sounds ominous 🤔

      Andrew Leader it has nothing to do with the Fouke Monster of Boggy Creek, if you're wondering (look that up for an interesting read)

      504RoadTrips I love stories like this. I can't say I believe in them, but living on the Fen Edge just north of Cambridge, UK I do see a lot of wild supernatural stories. anilbalan.com/2014/01/12/shadows-in-the-fens/#more-1424

    Wow, US59 in Texas has the speed limit of 75 while the Interstate 49 in Arkansas is 65? 65 seems kinda low. Great video! Edit, speed limit goes to 70. Better.

      Well, judging by your username, I'm guessing you know that Texas likes their high speed limits. Apparently Arkansas does not share that view. I-49 in Louisiana even has a long stretch of 75 MPH. Our more recent videos cover US-90 in eastern Texas and a good bit of that is 75. We even saw 75 MPH on some two-lane state highways east of Austin last year. In Louisiana, we don't see anything above 65 on anything other than Interstates.
      It's my understanding that maximum allowable speed limits are determined by population density (with the state having the option to set them lower), hence the 80 MPH speed limit on I-20 somewhere out west of Dallas where the population density drops to something like 5 people per square mile.
      One thing I've noticed, especially on the State Highways in Texas, is that they're maintained better than any other state I've traveled in. Those two-lane highways in the middle of nowhere are smooth as glass.

    Why does IH-49 say Houston when it doesn't even go through Houston?

    • @504RoadTrips
      @504RoadTrips  7 лет назад

      Loyalmoonie good question. I-49 doesn't even currently run in Texas at all, and will never run anywhere near Houston once it does cross into Texas at the northern end. There are multiple connections that can be made to get to Houston, but none of them are really direct. It doesn't fit the normal rules for a control city. I'll have to get one of the highway experts I know to see if they can come up with an answer to this.

      US 59 does go to Houston. An all-Interstate connection is planned via I-369 and I-69.
