Dude! You should have closed that door the minute you saw the sigil on the cover of the book. The guy was strange and too eager for you to take it...come on now!!
Great movie. I just happened to come across it and became quite intrigued with the horror film about a man who received a mysterious book from a mysterious stranger. The more I became fascinated when by chance I found a book on Amazon. I was also fond of a novel about the phantom (Eric) that lived in a sewage which he converted into a living establishment beneath the Paris Opera house with a Swedish soprano named Christine Daae. Have you heard of that?
Are these comments all from classmates or family trying to be supportive of the horror stuff or what? You're being damned with faint praise for a pretty excellent little film. Pretty good Chambers-piece (get it?)- the graphic typography, that particular shade, excellent soundtrack and depiction of mood in the final minutes. I feel like the beginning led me to anticipate a comedy (based on the Evangelist, when in fact someone who has read it approaching "you"- perhaps with their own organist or doughy night watchman compelling them- should be VERY interesting) to the detriment of the advent of the supernatural, which I'm not sure I really got by the way- did the malignant forces of Carcosa destroy his tv and phone because he wouldn't otherwise read it? (Trying to get people to read a Fien De Siecle french play in 2023 would be a pretty amusing yellow-mythos story idea.) In any case, hope you proceed with more mythos/Chambersian stuff- I think you really captured the feeling, even if the plot was just a loose pastiche of the main few stories, you've got a connection to what is disturbing about these old stories, and better yet, can convey it!
Man killon is having a tough movie career poisoned by an old lady eaten by triplets possessed by a book. What's next dude decent job cast and crew. Must be a hindu thing.
Another dope Human Pincushion film. Seizure on the floor was awesome
I was practically screaming don’t take the book! Also, he looks like my son, leave him alone.
