Well rightfully so, even though Pinocchio didn’t really know any better, the bakery chefs didn’t do anything wrong, they were just pissed that a kid was eating their cakes and pastries they worked hard to make with perfection. He was eating their profits, and their work of art.

Since this pinocchio is placed in the 18th century, I can imagine how expensive all that sugar must of cost to make all those delicious cakes and buns. I know its a movie and all that but I can understand their outrage since thousands if not millions of lira went into those cakes

OK, please don't get angry anyone, i don't wish to offend: I am reading the book of pinocchio and have seen the disney film so i thought to watch this one (I love dawn french too so thats also why) but I don't find this funny, appetizing, well-made or even remotely entertaining. infact I find it annoying, disrespectful to the book and I find that whoever filmed doesn't seem to know how to use a camera! Although I watched Pinocchio a lot (Both the Disney version and this particular film) when I was a young kid, I enjoyed this film but now as an adult (who is also in the film industry), I see this film as an insult and a pure abomination. Terrible writing, cheap and ugly CGI, terrible camera angles and bad acting especially from the veteran actors. Complete opposite of entertaining and the original story.
