I don't buy chicken broth any more. I save the bones when we have chicken in a bag in the freezer and make big batches of bone broth a few times a year and freeze them in qt yogurt containers. When it comes time to make soup, I just dump it in frozen. Works great.
Such a great tip! Thank you for sharing!
I didn’t realize you used to be a teacher! Me too. I taught Kindergarten for 6 years and subbed for a few years prior. I’ve been a SAHM for 4 years now. We cut down on many of these same things. But you’re giving me some more ideas for sure. Thanks!😊
Oh, that’s so cool! Kindergarten is such a fun age! I taught mostly in 5th grade and a little in junior high. I’m glad the video gave you some ideas. 😊
I dont buy the little muffin cup liners anymore. I got silicone ones that I can reuse. I just put them face down in the dishwasher
Great tip!
No alcohol here either! Neither home nor abroad. 😁 These are great ideas. Going out to eat really cuts into the budget but date nights are important for hubby and I. 😊 MY husband has been cutting his and my sons hair forever. Can't imagine spending $$
So glad you and your husband do date nights! We are so thankful when we get to do them too. 😊
Wow! What a great list, Emily! I've switched to shredding blocks too. You are making me think I need to make a list too! 😊
Your list would be so good!
Lots of good advice, especially about using products you don't throw away. I also don't buy scented items, they give me headaches.
Yes, using reusable items makes a big difference in the budget! There is definitely something in those scented items that is not good. 🤷♀️
Thanks Emily!! This is an amazing list. I have already bought some dryer balls to try out and I have decided to save money and stop buying those laundry scent beads!! Great video!
I hope you like using the dryer balls!
Thanks for all the money saving tips! How do you make your all purpose cleaner?
I add 2 Tablespoons of Castile soap with 2 cups of distilled water to a spray bottle. Just shake it up before spraying. It’s so easy and smells better than using vinegar like I used to! 😁
Love this!! I always try to buy store brand, but I do have certain brands I do prefer. I always shred my own cheese too. Such a better taste and cheaper
Yes, freshly shredded cheese is so good!
My phone is being stupid and freezing up so I'm splitting this into 2 comments. I can't imagine buying kids expensive clothes. They grow so fast.
Yes, they do! 🙂
The Febreeze Gain plug ins smell so good but they give me headaches and even make me nauseous.
There's something in those that just aren't good! But yes, they smell so good. :)
artificial fragrances is one of the WORST things we can consume. if its not naturally scented or use of essential oils, then skip it!! toss it! dont go near it!
@@jessg3141 I believe it! I've heard good things about using essential oils, but haven't tried them myself.
Thank you for homeschooling. It is irresponsible to hand our children over to groomers.
