I have never seen someone crochet so smooth! Like butter! 😍
This slight variation of the Sedge Stitch is one of my favorites! It's so versatile. I've used it with solid colors, variegated, and self-striping. It looks beautiful no matter what style of yarn you use, how many colors you use, and so on. I hope the people who are not familiar with this stitch, will start using it, thanks to you. Another great tutorial, Glenda.
I really like how you tell us which yarn you are using. Many times on a stitch tutorial I like the yarn that’s being used for the stitch and the instructor falls to say which yarn is being used. Really pretty stitch.
I just watched you and Cody with the swatches. I will definatly be using this Kroller stitch. thank you both and GOD bless you.
Great looking stitch! Definitely a “must try this.” Thank you! ❤
Hi Glenda! Lovely stitch! Perfect for a baby blanket!
Looked this up after seeing your premier swatches. Loved the one Cody made with this stitch!
I like this stitch. It’s similar to the sedge stitch I have used in the past. Thank you for sharing your pattern. 🧶💜🙏🏻
Thank you for the great stitch! I can’t wait to try my hand at it🤩you are a wonderful teacher!
I know that stitch as the SEDGE STITCH...I LOVE it!! One of my favs. Your blanket looks really nice.
Ooo I like this. This stitch looks so pretty and I would have thought it would be difficult. But it’s not. I always forget just changing a hook size can make a difference.
Hi Glenda,
I am your new subscriber. I am happy I find your video. The stitch is beautiful, interesting and you are a great teacher. I had a pleasant time watching you
Thank you 🌹
What a beautiful stitch!
Good morning Glenda, This looks like a very nice stitch for a baby blanket. I think I have the perfect yarn. What border would you recommend, if any? Thank you for showing us this beautiful stitch.
Wishing you a beautiful blessed day/night and weekend. Prayers for your mom 🙏🏻💝🤗
I saw this stitch pattern a long time ago & was wanting to use it but couldn't remember where I saw it so I was delighted to see your video pop up today. Thank you Glenda!!
Thanks Glenda looks easy enough! Thanks for the tutorial.
Love this pattern... thinking of making a lap blanket for my kids grandma!
Looks pretty easy, thank you for the tutorial, on my list to try
Love this stitch
I love 1 row repeats
I was looking for a nice textured stitch for a blanket in starting, now i know what I'll do! Thank you Glenda❤❤
Good Morning Glenda 🌻💖😊
Love it Glenda
VERY PRETTY ❤
Would make a really nice pillow case using Caron Simply Soft yarn. ❤
Thank you Glenda 😊
Delinda, I use my 10.5 K a lot. My favorite hook for this is my beautiful lime green clover amor. I find a 10.5 K does a great job on most yarns. It gives my work a nice feel and a good trip.
Cute pattern
Lovely stitch 😊🧶
Thank you for the pattern
Thank you Glenda for this stitch. In all the times I have watched you crochet, I just realized you are a pencil grip crocheter. So am I. I wonder which grip is most commonly used. Maybe do a survey. LOL> Anyway thanks for all the great info you provide for all of us!!
Thank you for the video❤
Would make a beautiful blanket
Lve this…I am always looking for a stitch hat has a xpconsistent texture…..for variegated yarn, as I have 4 sons and 10 grandsons..and they like “nbb” patterns better than swoops, waves, and shells, bothe in stitch and fly,..speckle versus stripes….this is perdect…thank you, Glenda!😊
Love it very pretty. Where is Cody, feels funny not seeing him with you.❤❤❤
I like how it lays flat with the HDC in the middle instead of a DC.
I love this pattern. On the double crochet i do a drop down dc on next row below. Hope your mom is doing well and shout out to Cody❤🎉
Pretty n fast . Thanks
How come never any lives? I would love to see a live!!😊
Live is difficult.
This stitch is LOVELY, but am wondering if it is a "yarn eater" ?
If I make a blanket with this stitch what stitch do you think would look nice as a border?
@jodybird3
This is a variation of the Sedge stitch which has no spaces between each motif. I have used the standard form of the stitch for my border and it gives the slight shell look to your border that doesn’t take away the attention from your basic blanket. Begin with a row or two of single crochet for a starting base. Hope this helps.
Hook size in mm?
A US K hook is 6.5mm
Is this a big yarn eater?
@robertazach
My browser keeps crashing - third times a charm 🙏. Not too much of a yarn eater. I’ve used the original version - Sedge stitch that uses no spaces between the motifs. Even when I had a very limited amount of a variegated & used it carefully for decorative effect throughout, I was always pleased with how far a partial skein would go. It does take some careful planning and sometimes frogging - oh no! I don’t know if this will help, but my measure for each Sedge stitch, using 4wt. yarn & a 7mm hook is 3/4” tall x 7/8” wide.
I haven't got a 10mm hook.
Maybe use a thinner yarn - a 3 weight - and a J Hook. Play around with it and see what works for you!
@SharonBennett-de1we the 10 is the US size. It's a 6.5mm hook
What a pretty stitch!
