Love this dude! Awesome job. I've been looking for a way to push through my writers block for an extremely long time now, so I'm stoked to give this a shot later!
@@MelodyMathlete Thanks man!! Let's definitely set up something! Honestly, maybe even a collaboration or something would be cool! I'll send you a message on instagram. 🙌
Yes! more great work here my friend...always sceptical when others offer "songwriting advice" on melodies and hooks but this is backed up by your extensive research! Love it you make so much sense! Thank you! I also would love to see a video about your Max Martin findings, as it clearly worked well for him and his team and be great to have some further insights into the process. 😎
Hey man love the vid. Just wondering how you sorted the rhyming words into your song palette by vowel but then called them rhyming words. I can sort of see it but some of them I can't understand like for example how Unicorn could rhyme or half rhyme with Fog? Is there something about these 5 vowel categories specifically? Looking to start making these myself so would be grateful for any advice when it comes to sorting as you've done.
Hey Isaac! Thanks for the feedback 🙏 Oh man, what a fantastic question! I didn't understand this until I started having singing lessons. These days when I'm looking for words that "rhyme" in my lyrics, I'm not so much using a rhyming dictionary but more using my understanding of how the vowels sound when I sing them. Some vowels will "modify" and sound different as you sing higher vs lower in your register. I also have a personal taste of how I like to sing certain words / vowels, which is reflected in my Song Palette. I found a great video on vowels and singing here - ruclips.net/video/hLhTbCABpIk/видео.html And another perspective from a male here -ruclips.net/video/dWwgWAeJw7M/видео.html The other thing I'm taking into account with my Song Palette when choosing which word goes into which vowel shape is the ending vowel of the word. "Unicorn" vs "Fog" is a good example. When I'm singing "Unicorn" it sounds more like "oo-ee-OH-" when you take the consonants out When I sing "Fog", without the consonants it's just "OH" So the end vowel shapes are the same When singing, the sound of the vowel is more important than pronouncing the word "correctly" like how you would when speaking. Well at least it is for most pop singers. If you're singing music theatre it's a different story! Another thing to note is that my preference of vowel shapes have been shaped by experience and culture. E.g. My dad is Chinese, my mum is Swiss, I grew up in Australia, I learned to sing using Italian vowels, and I prefer to sing with an American accent. So it's basically a multicultural vowel smoothie haha Your vowel experiences / preferences are most likely different to mine! In my video I could have separated the vowels into more than five vowels... I could have done 10 vowel shapes to be more specific, as you'll see in first video I linked above (she has a great vowel chart). But starting with the basic five vowels is usually enough to going... Does that make sense? Please let me know if anything needs further clarification! JP 🙏🤘
@@MelodyMathlete Thank you so much, as I'm from the UK I can see how that might shape my vowels differently to how yours might sound. Appreciate the time to explain that to me and find those videos. Can't wait to see whatever vids you do next! Keep up the great work :)

@@aRmusic09 thanks legend! Appreciate the feedback 🙏 Consider it done my friend. Is there anything in particular you are interested in / are wanting help with?
@@MelodyMathlete if there's anything about melodies that would be cool to see, but otherwise, I think anything you could offer would be greatly appreciated 🙂

Insane production and video quality. A few more of these and im sure youll break 100k :)

amazing work Jean, if you ever needed help with editing i would love to give you hand and free up some time for you
I enjoy your brain.
«Billions of streams» sounds impressive, indeed. But which bands/artists have you worked with, exactly?
I expected a song at the end, because I thought this was about song writing
Noted
ur audio is earraping me, the white noise in the background is horrible. Don't believe almost anything you said because of it.
