Glen, you were a tremendous player. Its been a pleasure watching you your whole career. As a life long Ranger fan I thank you from the bottom of my heart for your play and your passion and your excellence in big games that helped my life long favorite team finally win a Stanley Cup. Thank you. I met u many times as a Ranger season ticket holder at events. All I can say is thank you. You are simply one of the best!!!
I remember him in his prime and he was always a class act. He's got a great life, well deserved. He certainly was one of the greatest players of all time..
IF Wayne Gretzky was the greatest offensive player of all time, and Mario Lemieux was the greatest goal scorer, And Mark Messier was the greatest 2 way Player of all time and the greatest Leader, If Paul Coffey was the greatest offensive defenseman, and Kevin Lowe the greatest defensive defenseman, There can be NO DOUBT, that Glenn Anderson was the "clutchiest" player in the history of the game. When you absolutely HAD to have a goal, When the aforementioned stars were stale-mated and something needed to happen to get the momentum going again, When some shit needed to be stirred, When a goalie needed to be shook up, WHEN THE OILERS NEEDED A CLUTCH PLAY, you only had to put out Glenn Anderson. Whatever it took, skates up if necessary, that freakin puck was going into that net. Whenever it absolutely positively had to be in the net, It wasn't Wayne, or Mark, or Jari, or Paul, IT was Glenn... time after time. I'm blessed to have seen these guys play. To see them grow up really. These men, are so full of passion for this game, they can't contain it when they speak. It's fucking beautiful, man. I love them all like brothers. The Original Oilers. The greatest team of all time in any sport.
Un IMMENSE joueur, une Grande et noble personne!!! Vous m'avez fait aimer ce sport comme nul autre, en dehors de Mario Lemieux. People like you reconcile us with life's intrinsic Beauty,, Merci du fond du coeur Mr Anderson, pour cette passion qui a anime toute votre vie. Vous etes l equivalent de Mikhail TAL aux Echecs!!!! Chapeau bas/

the guy was unreal. I've never seen anyone even close to how fearless he was going to the net with the puck.

Agree. Gretzky was great but Anderson could do things that Gretzky couldn't.
