In Far Cry 3, Vaas killed the guy who told him the definition of insanity. After that, Jason killed Vaas, the guy who told him the definition of insanity. I'm really hoping that we see Jason returns, not just as a simple Easter egg but as a major character.
Vaas and Jason became equally insane and lustful for blood in the end. Vaas wasn't completely wrong, he was driven insane by his family and the island.

I remember thinking the game was going to end completely when you beat Hoyt, and I remember capturing every outpost and collectible I could before entering the compound.
Alex Doe I felt the exact same after finishing assassins creed black flag, I just wandered round lifelessly thinking about the characters, those who had died and where still alive. I felt like nothing when the game ended.
Remembering how much joy I've felt playing this masterpeice 5-6 years ago. The game that gave me a feeling that no modern games could. Time will take us anywhere but this game will always remain in our heart
Yeah I have just finished it, Like 10 minutes ago and it was insane... It reminded me my good old times. And no other game will make me think deep about my life. I feel like this game is something special.. I also cannot believe how a game that made in 2012 can be WAY better than all the 2021 games. What I understand here is, graphics, physics, animations etc. are not the things that makes a game extremely good. It is definitely Story, Characters and voice lines. I do not even need to talk about the story of this game it is just the best story i have ever seen. It is about insanity, REAL love not lesbian or gay kissing and it doesnt contain lesbian or gay "Love" Lol are we calling this love? Anyways this game is just a goat and it will always have a special place in my hearth.
Play it again. I finished the game for the first time yesterday. Amazing game and story really. Best game I have ever played in my life. I choosed friends instead Citra : )
Laki Luciano haha me too played it for the first time like 3 months ago. The story was fantastic but i chose citra over friends cause i could really understand Jason wanting to stay on the island. It became his life. I was mad when i got literally fucked and killed
I started playing farcry 3 a few weeks ago and just finished it. I cannot begin to explain How amazing this game was. This song captures Jason's mind throughout the entire story of the game. I feel guilty for not playing this game at an earlier time and I am very happy I am a far cry fan now. This song made me tear up and I was shocked at the fact that I was finished with the game. It's almost like you ARE Jason. Before I made Jason's save his friends, I was thinking the same way as Jason. I was thinking that my friends aren't important and I needed to kill Vaas and Hoyt. But realizing what Citra did to Jason made me snap out of it and save my friends instead of joining her. Hearing Dennis cry over how he accidentally killed citra started to make me tear up and after hearing the song and Jason talking just made me go over. This was by far one of the most beautiful and well put together games I have ever played in my life.

I feel like this is the best Far Cry story wise, I enjoyed the gameplay of 5 a lot, honestly I would love to play Far Cry 3 with 5's gameplay manchanics
Back when I played this game for the first time I had a stronger sense of imagination and I had an easy time immersing myself in the game, picturing myself as Jason Brodie and had a sense of emotional investment where I actually cared about characters such as Spider, and getting irritated with Buck, leading up to finally killing Hoyt and Vaas. As nerdy as it sounds it was a insane experience that to this day I've never felt from a video game and maybe it was just from my imagination but I also feel like this game is a masterpiece. There will never be anything like it again.
You should play Spec Ops: The Line. Shit was more intense than Far Cry 3. Overall Far Cry 3 is better in my opinion but the narrative of Spec Ops: The Line definitely is better than Far Cry 3 by a landslide. It really shows the dark sides of a war perfectly. It's a third person shooter game. You and your 2 other buddies basically go to Dubai or some place to investigate the loss of communication with an entire squad. It literally shows how cruel a war is. Highly recommend it. It should be playable on Intel hd graphics because I finished it with hd 620(not UHD 620).
You described that so perfectly. I got so immersed and attached to the games and really put myself in them and they moved me, I don’t even know if that’s possible for me anymore.
Dude it felt real…the first game I ever experienced emotion through voice acting…seeing Keith after Buck had him hostage will never leave my head….”JASON?! You gotta get me outta here man!” The story made everyone stronger. Oliver’s father selling him to the pirates, Rylie getting tortured by his brother, grant getting shot for no reason trying to stop the blood, daisy after you tell her about grant, Liza after you tell her you’re staying….that game is just a roller coaster. My all time favorite game ever. If someone wanted to know the exact story of this game I can tell them everything about it…
@@ultraspeedy4911 I think the same way, but i guess it is still possible, the problem are nowadays games. There are few that you can connect with, feel the game, feel immersed in the story. Me and my friend from high school and middle school used to play this game all the time at his house and mine. I know the sentimental and emotional RUclips comment is kind of cliché but he died back in 2017 leaving behind a newborn baby boy. This song along with many others reminds me of him and how innocent life was back then and how it can change in the blink of an eye. Don't leave anything unsaid, Love your friends, family and all those in between because nothing is guaranteed.
"I've killed so many people I've lost count. I can't come back from this. I'm a monster. I can feel the anger inside me. But I am still, somewhere inside me, more than that. Better than that."- Jason Brody
I didn't wanted to kill him, he was trying to save us from becoming a monster, becoming like him. Hoyt has monster named Vaas. Meanwhile you're Citra's.
This game wasn't about someone taking down a regime, destroying a cult, freeing a people, et cetera. No. This game was about a white kid from the suburbs. Having to kill people. Having to learn to torture, maim, slaughter and kill without thought. Jason was innocent. He was used, molded into the monster that he is by the end of the game. By the start? He just wants to save his friends. What does he want by the end? To kill Vaas and Hoyt. He is coerced into murder. And that's why I love 3 so much.
Makes me think of my best friends basement.. binging this game until 7 in the morning to get through the story for the first time. We couldn't put the controller down we were so immersed in the story, shit feels like it was last week. Now I'm done with college with a real job, going through real life. It's a happy sad bros, but I just wanna go back.

Man, I remember being like 10 years old when this came out, recieving it for my birthday, and going to school every day jittery with excitement knowing that i'd be able to play when I got home. Good fucking times.
At least in the end Jason eventually admitted to killing so many people on the island. And what I noticed is that, unfortunately, some of today's games do not leave you with this sense of reality as at the end of Far Cry 3 :(
Feeling empty after finishing a game seems to go unappreciated by story devs these days. You always have to save the day, like AAA games are all a homogeneous mixture of superhero power fantasies, leaving little remorsefulness for the lives you've taken to creep up on you. Far Cry 3 nailed this aspect. At the end, you truly felt as if you've not only accompanied Jason in his descent into insanity, but have become insane yourself. In a first-person shooter, the irony of feeling "bad" for killing people willy nilly on every occasion you get is a good thing and having to sort of question why you've done everything you've done is interesting to say the least. I wish more games would take advantage of the particularities of someone playing them instead of watching movies or reading books, just like Far Cry 3, through its story, has. Truly a gem of a video game. Wish I could experience it anew all over again.
@Bruh No, everyone in the island was really fucked up, is really hard to tell who was really evil (besides Hoyts that he was clearly an asshole). Jason indeed did what he needed to do but with the manipulation of Citra he started to become the same monster that Vaas was... and probably Vaas was like Jason in the past, he did what he needed to do but ended up being a vicious murderer because he started to enjoy it. Far Cry 3 is a horror story in a Island where only rules the violence.

Am i the only one who felt empty when i completed this game?
Alex Doe no youre not i have also felt empty after completing far cry 3 or many other games the feeling is like "how am i going to continue on with my life"
Alex Doe after completing this game i became a statue for 3 mins and started thinking about the whole story

I just finished the game a second time bcs i wanted to see both endings in my game and i have to say that i got goosebumps even the second time i finished the game, when the credits were given and jason saying his quote.. its just perfect, u cant get sick of it, the game gets into you its like you become him. @@SammyNyaa we can say it had the best music at least, gameplay based i think far cry 5 is superior, but the story line is hard to decide after the BIG FAILURE 4 was they somehow recovered the line and 5 was a very well done job. but this game is indeed INSANELY good, i loved it.

You just described how I feel about this game perfectly! Awesome dude
Games these days are too lazy, repetitive...nothing is interesting except the gameplay because it is more modernized and maybe the graphics but thats all. Characters are not remarkable, they are boring and irritating, missions are lazy and repetitive, pretty shit story and so on...even Farcry 6 itself, im playing it right now on PS , i got 10h in and already sick of it. But still, there are a few games that is worth playing, interesting and addictive if you search for it.

At least in the end Jason eventually admitted to killing so many people on the island. And what I noticed is that, unfortunately, some of today's games do not leave you with this sense of reality as at the end of Far Cry 3 :(
Agreed. Far Cry really nails the explanation. Not everyone is a Doomguy
@Lazo He did what he had to do, not what he wanted to do. I see it as some kind of traumatic way to mature.
@Bruh Even though what he did was justified, he lost himself and began to enjoy it.

А мне было 18 когда игра вышла... Эх, классно было в первые проходить эту часть. От саунтрека по-прежнему мурашки по коже бегут)
Verdade, essa música é muito boa
