@@penaltygallery credit to them where due, a playing squad entirely comprised of students took a swing at (modern) European competition and, while their appearance only amounted to a brief cameo; they went out on away goals.
The worst thing Stirling Albion did was move to the middle of nowhere at Forthbank. Used to get great crowds at the old Annfield just a 5 min walk from the town centre.
The guys got it right, you are a legend! Always great videos, completely unbiased and you take us to places/clubs we have never been to/seen. Well done Sam.😀👏
Fantastic enthusiasm from these lads, it seems to be a real community you’re part of. I’ll certainly have a look at their content, and, as always, thanks for your relentless commitment to the beautiful game at all levels. Very easy to watch, and, always so well researched mate, cheers.
Well done, another informative video. I love your videos , ,and your attention to detail, not just of the games you attend, but giving us the history of the clubs and cities/towns you visit. Really good viewing always.
My old university, Cardiff Met in Wales, univeristy who play in the Cymru Premier League. Played in the Europa League qualifiers a couple years ago and currently 2nd in the Cymru Prem!
Hi Sam, hope you’re able to visit a match for the other university team, Edinburgh university in Scotland. Are you able to go Anfield for the women’s team match later this month and are you brave enough to do a video, stadium tour of afc Wimbledon? Thanks for reply and good video 😊
You've made yourself the best job in the world Sam 👏. And thankfully you are good at it. Keep us entertained & interested. 👍. I know you will ⚽️. Thank you 🙂✌️
Currently top of Belarus Premier League is BGU Energertyk. They are the Belarus State University team...at least that is what they are called, I have no idea how linked they actually are to the University, they are currently leading Champions Shaktor Soligorsk , Dinamo Minsk and BATE Barisov. If they are still top at end of season they will have a CL qualifier next season.
Caley Braves #10 - The WHOLE ball needs to be over the line, no need to spit the dummy. Waving your arms like a demented semaphorist isn't going to change refs decision.
Great vid Sam - the lake at the University is the home of a parkrun! Have you thought about doing a video about a parkrun at a football stadium - I believe the closest one in the world is at the Tony Macaroni!
Zaterdag 1 oktober speelt FC Twente thuis tegen Vitesse, zeker een aanrader. De grootste sfeer in nederland is te vinden in de Grolsch veste! Het stadion van Twente
You missed a trick - While you were on the University grounds, you could have gone to see where the 2nd team play - at step 8 in the East of Scotland league 2nd division
I remember when they were an amateur team playing against my home village team Doune castle AFC. Completely different to the current team. I actually went to school with the manager and his assistant Chris and Sean
@@MrSeanyf85 I used to play for Stirling Uni FC in their lower teams - remember us playing away at Doune Castle in the Scottish Amateur Cup Quarter Final in 1995. I think it was 5-2 to us or something and then we got beat 2-1 by Norton House in the semi final (played at East Fife's Old Bayview ground). That was the furthest we had got in a national cup competition at that time. ☺️
Great stuff Sam, wishing you the very best supporting scottish and all football tbh. ⚽️ thanks for ure dedication 👍 Really enjoying the pieces from the WOSFL and HIGHLAND LEAGUE.
"Professional" ha ha ha. Even some teams in the SPL can barely claim to be professional. . Most of these guys who play for shit like Stenhousemuir, Raith, Stranraer, East Fife etc aren't making a living, so I'd never claim it was "professional" just a load of painter and decorators and taxi drivers who get a few quid to play football. Sort of like getting a tenner to cut your grandad's grass.
What other cool uni teams are there around the world???
Cardiff Met
Edinburgh university
newcastle uni team play in step 6 of the non league pyramid in england. loughborough uni play step 5

its seconds on the bus or 15 min walk over the bridge.. hardly much.. its in the sports village so makes sense
@@iMertin90the huge decline of Albion supporters since 1993 would suggest the move didn’t make sense.
@@campbellgraham1979 its no perfect like.. same here in falkirk when we moved but hope are better stadiums
Real fans would still make it to the stadium 😏
@@cw9155 where are fans supposed to go for a drink? Over to Morrisons for a few cans from the drink aisle.
moving to forth bank was the death of Stirling uni FC, also the creation of the lowland league
We do videos like this if any of you guys want to check it out
