    Man, Joe…the quality of your offerings and experiential knowledge combined makes you guys the best place around. I have to come back by - but am afraid of wanting too much! 👍🏼

    Nice, since 2000 in the home theater hobby, I went into the music side in 2023 so love my upgrade to thin-film speakers in 2023 with the GoldenEar BRX (AMT tweeter, 40hz-35Khz, 91db).
    I liked it so much (and it's 12in short to not block the screen) that I bought a 3rd speaker as the center channel speaker in my mixed use system music/movies.
    If I ever upgrade from the GoldenEar BRX, it would be to the Borresen X1.

    Steve Guttenberg said in his review that X3 sounds like a small speaker and may needs a subwoofer. How do you think?

  • @LeeWallace-bm4qi
    @LeeWallace-bm4qi 2 месяца назад +1

    I agree with the skepticism. Joe Parvey is a struggling shop owner who refused to service the $7,500 server I bought from him, among other gear and cables, because I didn’t buy a piece of gear from him after that, even though he didn’t have it in stock, audition it for me, offer a price, or a trade, and was never there when I came on to listen. Buyer beware.

    I heard the x1 and x2 at the Florida Audio Show. Both are incredible. Visceral and highly detailed. Compared to Magico S3 available in the show. Borresen are better!!!

    Wish we had some idea how these speakers sound with differnt amps u have in house. I have the coda no.8 I love that amp.. interested in these speakers but I'm not to keen on buying everything from audio group denmark.

      That’s an excellent request and we will look at what other amps we can take in there. The Coda No. 8 is a great amp and we like Doug very much.

    everyone's shilling for Borrenensen this week/month. All the audiophile vlogs are reviewing everything Borrenensen and claiming that they are the latest, greatest thing ever. It's very, very strange that they are ALL reviewing the entire Borrenensen line of equipment, all at the same time. Sounds to me like Borrenensen is paying everyone to review and rave about their equipment. Audiophiles are notoriously finicky and seldom agree on the time of day, let alone anything more substantial. I think they're all being paid by Borrenensen to review and praise their equipment right now.

      I shared your sentiment completely. I figured here is just another “flavor of the month” product/brand with reviewers probably being paid or receiving free gear as compensation. Though that may be true, I finally heard these in person and they do indeed compete with speakers around twice the price. I wouldn’t say they sound like $150K, but they are definitely up there with the $20K/pair stuff I’ve heard.

    Good amp pairings and don't say the Forte line. I don't like how they don't have balanced inputs for those who already have good external dacs.

    150k you should have sold them to him for 90k he would have thought he got a bargain 😂
    How many companies charging that sort of crazy money for a 10k speaker , with people like him they can get away with it .

      Yeah, but he's a professor, which apparently makes him infinitely more qualified to judge the value of a speaker. Fact is, he just failed miserably at a game show like "The Price Is Right" and would've been booted off the program.

    That professor is no audiophile. How many $150,000 speakers weigh 120lbs? SMH
    I think Borreson across their entire line is overpriced and I have no problem with spending six figures on speakers. These speakers are on just about every review channel and are the flavour of the month. They're very good speakers, nothing more, nothing less.

  • @A-gks
    @A-gks Год назад +4

    Sorry, but they do not perform like $25,000 speakers. At that price bracket, Magico A5 walks all over it. In fact, they don't even compare to the Magico A3.
    I've spent many hours listening to this speaker in a full AGD setup in a treated showroom.
