It's amazing to me that cars from that part of the country didn't get destroyed in winter like ours in the Northeast because they didn't use salt back then.... Great job guys...!
I'd enjoy a post trip summery of all those cool bits and parts you scored, looks like a really big score! Tail-light assembly garage light is really cool!
Always makes me kinda sad thinking about how someone’s lifetime of either bartering or spending money for all the things they loved is relegated to being auctioned off in a day
Maybe he did it for several reasons (1) perhaps the roof was full of pinholes and/or very pitted metal. Two he wanted the vinyl roof look without the vinyl roof problems. I have a 68 notchback Barracuda I'm restoring I think the car looks better with a vinyl top but I don't want the issues with that type of top. I will be painting the top satin black to mimic the look however I did consider the Rino Liner as an option. PS after closer look at video of his top it's too chunky and not smooth so I'd agree not a very appealing look I'll still be satin black painting mine though.
Dang, Montana is my neighboring state to the west (I am in ND), it would have been a great sale to go to. But, Montana is a huge state so it's probably a very long days drive from where I'm at. But, I definitely know what cold and snow is like in MT. I remember going to Yellowstone Park in June when I was a kid and we tented in Red Lodge MT. We woke up freezing and there was snow on the ground. And Beartooth Pass was blocked with snow so we had to take another route to get into Yellowstone. Good times!
Not a dumb question at all but unfortunately do not have a good answer. Sometimes machine shops will stamp their own name in to say they did it. Sometimes people just random stamp them for no reason.
It is kinda morbid to see people picking through a person's life collection, however look at it this way = he saved all that stuff from being used up so the next generation can have some cool Mopar goodies. Plus, it hopefully generated some money for their family.

No salt makes all the difference.
Awesome Video! Thanks for making the trip . We really enjoyed meeting you and look forward to finding you some more great stuff! The Moo Crew
Appreciate your hospitality.

Stay tuned, tomorrow is our Minnesota road trip part 1 video, at Mopars at the Park tomorrow
What a cool sale. Amazing to find hoards of this stuff still in exisrence.
We have been involved in a lot lately, unfortunately losing a lot of the generation.
Dilly is a boat trailer maker
Good to know and makes sense, was kinda small.

👍Well done!
A lot of nice parts!
Guy had a heck of a collection. Most of it was bought off eBay, all the parts had the slip when he bought the stuff. Guy over paid for SO much stuff.
Rhino liner...not my choice for a vinyl roof. Did he like to haul rock on top of it. Awesome video again Tom and thank you.
Think it was just a short cut, bad look either way.

That is a good idea I think painting it satin black. I too love the looks of a vinyl top.
The out was epic. 🚒
Was very surprised to see that around the corner.

You can get some crazy weather at those elevations
Why was that 68 HP block re-stamped? Might be a dumb question and I apologize if it is.

Looks like it snowed overnight and on everything. The T-bucket is neat , they are usually powered by a SBC Powerglide and 10 bolt
Yep Mopar power for me!
Wow nice sale. We never have estate sales like that in St. Louis. Our swap meets even suck. They never have much mopar stuff. When was this? Snow?
Last week in Anaconda, Montana, it’s at 5500 feet, crazy weather there even in spring!
Nice!
What kinda intake was that again? Never seen one
Please slow down when you're looking at stuff. I couldn't tell what was what or the prices. Too much camera movement.
Ya sorry about that, tent was packed with people and it was loud, will try to slow down next time.
Not envious of the cold, sold a 66 tornado on the coldest day of 2020;about died loading by ratchet in sub zero.
Ya not fun
And this is what happens to all your stuff you collected and loved being around that made you feel good in life, now it's just parts anyone can have.
Can’t take it with you.

"1960'S VINTAGE DILLY SHINY TRAILER HUB CAPS"
Somebody said boat trailer
So, did you pick up anything you needed right away. Looked like a good score to me.
He has a bunch of 70’s tin grill truck stuff including front fender trim I needed for my 78 trail duster!
@rocketresto I really like those Trail Dusters. You can haul stuff around and keep it out of the weather.
@@BigBoxDodge2020love mine, driving it a lot this summer
👍Wow !!👍
I enjoyed the show
Thanks!
Cool Power Wagon fire truck
Was a surprise it was there.
@@rocketresto and fire trucks are usually low miles!
That’s what is going to become of all my stash that I’ve accumulated over my lifetime. No children to will them to. Someone is going to score… 🤔🤷🏼♂️
Will happen to us all eventually.
I'm guessing that Dilly is an Australian motor car mfg
Think it is a boat trailer?
Dilly? Well, I can tell you what DILLIGAF means 😅
😂
Really luck you can go , and pick cool parts
Got some super cool stuff!
