My guess as to why the chief wanted to go out to the bars so badly was because back home, the department that they run is corrupt (obviously) and the chief liked coke or something and wanted to go try and score cause they weren’t able to bring any with them cause they flew down, and they got in a huge fight about going out to the bars to try and score. Idk
Imagine you're just working in the office at the police department and a call comes through that one of your investigators just murdered the chief of police.
I haven’t finished the video yet but I’m reading this whole thing from a lawyers perspective, and he possibly may have been drugged. He was out at a bar, he was drinking, he doesn’t know who could have tampered with his drinks, especially as a cop, he and other cops have access to crazy stuff. His initial nonchalant reaction can be blown off as genuine shock and disbelief, his brain can literally not process that he would or could ever do such a thing. He was extremely compliant and direct with answering questions because he wants to get down to the truth as much as anybody else and his own interrogator instincts kicked in, he attempted to approach the situation as analytically as possible because he can truly not believe his actions due to trauma, alcohol, & possibly drugs. It seems as though to him “someone else” took over his brain and did this.
Im 1/3rd through this and I really want to know why they started fighting and how it lead to murder. How drunk did they have to be for it to end in murder

How did his testimony at the interview even hurt him? All he said was that they got food, drank liquor, and he doesn’t know what happened. How would’ve not saying anything wouldve been materially different?
A prosecutor can now claim that he might have killed him accidentally, as he admitted he was intoxicated and passed out afterwards. If he doesn't talk, and doesn't admit to anything, they may not even be able to prove he was intoxicated depending on what else occurred. Basically, never, ever, ever, say anything to a cop. I've seen so many people screw themselves, even in traffic stops.
@@jacobmoretz3243 I don’t understand though. Without his testimony he would’ve been convicted anyway since the security guard found him on top of the victim. And lets say that the prosecution for some reason ignored the security guard’s testimony that the suspect was unresponsive when he found him and they didn’t have a toxicology report from his hospital stay that showed he was drunk. Couldn’t they just have charged him as if he did it on purpose? Like no matter what he was getting charged with manslaughter at the absolute minimum. I don’t see how his testimony made it any easier for them to do that.
He answered that he never had a violent outburst while drinking before, that no one has ever known him to get violent while drinking. That alone could hurt his "I was blackout drunk and this was an accident" defense. Also just his demeanor alone could be used against him.
@@noThankyou-g5c That's not necessarily true. Let's say the security guard is also a suspect. The security guard has evidence of blunt force trauma to his hands and bruises from a fight. As this man confirms in his questioning, he doesn't understand how his hands are fine after pummeling someone's face that much. Suddenly, there's a lot of doubt about which man's story is believable. The prosecution could, in that case, try to make the case about a premeditated murder, but there is *very* little evidence of that. Everything in this case points to a crime of passion. But, that's *also* hard to prove here, assuming that what he said about being close to the victim and being in shock both turn out to be true (and personally I do believe both). Basically, not speaking, and getting representation, can be the difference between losing a premeditated murder case, and getting off on a manslaughter charge by planting doubt in a jury. Those two outcomes carry wildly different penalties.
This guy just goes "huh" "hmm" every two seconds and tries to look like he's thinking, I honest to god cannot understand how or why he expected this to work when he himself has been giving interrogations for DECADES

what if... somebody else put some ghb for example to his vodka and later killed his colleague, and when somebody entered the room, he tried to save him? i mean i say it based on the fact he really doesn't have any damage on his hands... 🧐
Hands aren't as damaged because he was intoxicated. It's like a seat belt: if you're sober and get in a wreck, your body reacting and tensing up for impact can cause more damage. Drunk, your body can't react the same, so is loosely ragdolled, no tension causing extra damage. Thus if drunk, you're not as likely to have a closed fist/grip as tensely held. There's give in the knuckles, flesh. Think of it like this. If it's super cold and you close your hands and make a tight fist your skin can start to tear. If you make the fist but don't tighten it, chances of tearing is lessened.
@@myTERAexperience could you be so kind to provide any evidence, like studies or so, supporting your claim? because you are the second person who is talking to me about this issue in like 3 weeks or so, that alcohol can lower the risk of tissue damage, or bone fracture during an accident or other trauma... i mean i've heard it like about a thousand of times that "oh you know, he was drunk, so he's bones was rubber you know, that's why he's still alive" but everybody was always taking it as a joke or at least with the grain of salt.. and you seem to be serious... i've been looking for any credible info regarding this phenomena but couldn't find any... :x
@@andrzejbozek it's tricky because if you don't tense up, chances of whiplash are higher, but not tensing up or bracing allows the impact to more evenly distribute. Idk... to be fair it's all confusing to me as well but it's just what I've read online and seen on shows. Probably best to find a kinesiologist and ask them since they study body movement etc. and deal with physical therapy, think they'd probably know the best. Also heard tensing up helps protect ur organs so the muscles you tense take the brunt of impact. All sounds like picking which body parts you want injured... 🤣
@@myTERAexperience yeah, exactly, so even if drunk person is indeed loosening up helping himself in some occasions i would rather trust the primal instincts in that one and go with tensing up, because i think that reflex is put there in your body for a reason xd

Two of my fave things: Hasan and true crime
If I was writing a cop drama I would write this exact situation and the reason man's did it is because the chief wanted to "go out" with the fact that they were lovers and the cop didn't wanna do that, crime of passion baby
Top 3 Hasanabi industrial complex channels: #1 ostonox, #2 daily dose hasanabi, #3 Hasan Reactions lie to me and say I’m wrong
Haha thanks, I'll take third place! As long as we agree Ostonox is the GOAT
Blammo definitely needs a mention too
True!
@@HasanReactionsfanTwo daily dose got quality over you (inserting links and highlighted data/papers backing claims up), but u definitely have hall of fame quickness in uploads
The first day in criminal law class we were taught “always ask for a lawyer even when your innocent”. He must of missed that day.
*you’re
I studied criminal law, they never say that, they teach you how to be a good prosecutor, technician etc and what the laws are, no professor would tell u to 'get a lawyer', did u go to 'how to be a criminal' school?
@@AdaSuccubus1 a criminal law class where people go on to be criminal law attorneys would be taught that… my professor is one of the best criminal law attorneys around. And while no one wants to particularly protect a criminal sometimes in that career you’re in a position of your client in a criminal. So yes it makes sense. Also hate to tell you not all cops are good guys u never allow them to search without a warrant or question you without an attorney. And when u become a lawyer you basically learn how to get around the law it really is a how to get away with shit handbook to a degree. If you have a client who is being charged witb whatever your job if your a defense attorney is to prove them innocent even if they aren’t. It’s the courts job to find out if they are a criminal or not.
@@AdaSuccubus1 in what world would you go to law school for criminal law and not be taught how to save a criminal from being found guilty of something? Your job is to save their ass if they are your client. Regardless if you feel they are a criminal or not.
It brings to the forefront a sage word of advice an alcoholic once told me: "at the point you start regularly blacking out whenever you drink, your brain is sending you a clear message that your drinking days are over, and you'll listen to your brain in that moment, if you know what's good for you"
happened to me in the party days, i started to forget so much i got scared and now it’s chill, but it was crazy hearing people tell me stuff and me having zero recollection
“What’s he dead from?” *after checking his knuckles*
Take a sip everytime he says hmm and you'll be as black out as he claimed to be
the constant "hm" made me so maddd omg
imagine being so unable to feel anything that you say “hm” after finding out you killed your boyfriend

Yea and if you get that shitfaced that u kill your cheif. Then hes still drunk as fuck in this interview lmao
Yeah, that’s what I’m thinking. Idk how this dude got life in jail, just watching his interview made me feel for him. Looks like he genuinely is in shock or confused or still feeling drunk or wildly hungover.
@@KaysaurNom so what you're saying is that being black-out drunk is an excuse for murder. got you.
@@KaysaurNom"i felt bad for this melee murderer" odd self report, man
I wonder if part of his openness was that for all the other crimes he committed as a police officer were covered up by fellow police and D.A.'s
Sounds like a thumb wrestling match that got a little out of control.
to be fair you gotta put him perspective how many dead bodies would it see in the job and how much he would have been disconnected from life at this point in time most cops do become disconnected from it so realistically i think that he might have just had a minute breakdown actually did forget what happened during the night
Lovers quarrels angle doesn’t seem right. Two guys get hammered out of there minds get in a fight. One ends up dead and the guy probably doesn’t even realize what he has done. It’s called a black out. Sometimes the simplest answer is the right one
I agree. Dude is clearly in shock, he can’t remember anything that happened. An asshole cop would lawyer up quick and use their power and background to get the best deal. This dude sat in shock and waived his right so he could know what happened ‘cause he genuinely did not know.
I’ve blacked out before and had people tell me what I did while blacked out, and it wouldn’t ring any bells even as they told me. I think he seriously didn’t know what happened when he sobered up.
Lover’s quarrel angle sounds like some Wattpad fanfic shit.
Murder being back on the menu is a very nice break from politics and twitch drama
LMFAOOO the fact that watching murder is relaxing compared to politics and twitch drama says a lot tbh

I'm curious why the security guard didn't start CPR. That's a requirement in most hotels if you have an unresponsive individual especially if you are waiting on police or emt.
The man's head was beaten in, completely demolished. Life saving efforts at that point probably seemed ridiculous.
I wish I could say the SH*T I have seen in my lifetime bc I've have literally seen all sides I was a civil servant and worked dispatch in a small PD, I clerked for a city court Judge, The crap I went through at PD I should have filed suit. I literally cleared $335 appox for 84 hrs bi weekly n went through saw things that esp 1 officer did that was so traumatizing n that was to an alleged suspect n then the sexual harassment was overwhelming. I would love to say my truth so I could move on but retaliation n consequences for saying my truth idk if I'm strong enough to handle it. I just wish the nightmares would stop. Thank you for calling out the BS!
Idk
I enjoy your edits! thanks for uploading all this content as I don't seem to be able to catch stream live
hog on hog crime, i'm lovin it
always start with i want my lawyer and end with i assert my right to remain silent
Imagine you're just working in the office at the police department and a call comes through that one of your investigators just murdered the chief of police.
Hasan's out here gaming a lot and doing true crime reacts, it's like Ramadan has ended for old frogs
That dude is the true definition of Grunt Style
My man (the cop) did a friendly fire. Maybe he should just rejoin the server.
“I killed somebody? Hm.”
More tru crime pls
“Wow, I can’t believe this.” Real convincing.
this guy heard that 40% of cops commit domestic violence and got confused about which partner he was supposed to beat
cops save yet another life with force
Great touch with the click edit
Im 1/3rd through this and I really want to know why they started fighting and how it lead to murder. How drunk did they have to be for it to end in murder
Apparently this happened to one of my friends, the black out rage while drunk with PTSD beating the shit out of some dude but he lived because the other people in the room eventually stopped my friend. The guy didn’t press charges because he provoked my friend for sure, but my friend did get in trouble with the military even though he had just finished his tours.
For clarification this guy apparently was feeling up my friends mom in an unwanted manner and wouldn’t stop cuz he was blackout drunk. So my friend just lost it, he’s cool now though he did therapy and shit
Literally "damn thats crazy"
Believe me this guy had absolutely zero memory of killing him.
Fr, though, why aren’t his hands messed up after just beating someone to death? No mention of a weapon either?
was going to watch vods and found this. fcuk u are fast

Dude sounds like Nate Bargatze a lot 😂
none of these narration andies have nice voices except JCS. this guy's vocal fry is so grating on the ears
@@noThankyou-g5c you just simply don’t say anything, you ask for a lawyer
How did they find the one detective in America who isn't bald?
They were partners alright……….. if you know what I’m saying.
Historians will probably describe them as roommates though 😢

Do you not know what a questioning is officer? They are trying to find out what happened not the other way around ,😂
Is he still drunk? Man’s breath must smell crazy
This guy just goes "huh" "hmm" every two seconds and tries to look like he's thinking, I honest to god cannot understand how or why he expected this to work when he himself has been giving interrogations for DECADES
The dude is clearly in shock at the start no? "Does he not know whats going on?" no! he really doesn't! they got so drunk he went through some psychosis episode and killed his best friend! there's no motive a murderer who doesn't remember thing, they were having a good time before hand. How's this intentional?

what if...
somebody else put some ghb for example to his vodka and later killed his colleague, and when somebody entered the room, he tried to save him?
i mean i say it based on the fact he really doesn't have any damage on his hands... 🧐
allright, probably not xd
@@myTERAexperience yeah, exactly, so even if drunk person is indeed loosening up helping himself in some occasions i would rather trust the primal instincts in that one and go with tensing up, because i think that reflex is put there in your body for a reason xd
officer down! :D

These copycats wish that they could capture the quality commentary that JCS does (did). I hate that they dont edit in related news reels or comments like JCS would.
I think the difference is is that JCS was a team of researchers with someone hired to narrate. Can’t beat that level of quality.
