Yes, I’m dealing with this same situation at work. In my case is a 50-something year-old married woman who has invited me to her house a few times for a “bbq” but I never went. Not having enough confidence to act on interest does not account for cruelty, and automatically defaulting to the guy doing something so wrong he earned such behavior is presumptive and flawed reasoning, to say the least. Men need to understand some women are just self-involved and narcissistic, and are only interested in the attention you give them. She rejected me though, so I stopped giving her free attention and started dating other women and after awhile she then accused me of playing hard to get. She's given me the silent treatment. She is hot and cold towards me, but has progressively gotten more and more cold, but I continue to only be civil towards her in the workplace and I never go out of my way to speak to her and sometimes even ignore her completely. She will turn around and ignore me too, so we are in a war to see who can ignore the other the most, with the occasional friendly exchange with one another. I even walked away from her at one point and after nearly 6 months, she came back and wanted to try and be friends again. I decided to give her a second chance (we had known each other for years and worked together for years and had been good friends but she was married, so I could never make a move until she became available), but nothing has changed and she's done nothing but show me that I was right to walk away from her in the first place.
