I gotta give you props for getting through this game, man. I know I couldn't because I'm not a fan of racing simulaors, let alone Formula 1 games. The only Formula 1 game I liked in my video game playing journey was Pole Position and that's cause it's gameplay is arcadey not simulation. I know for a fact, if I ever saw this in the wild on a rental store shelf, it would've been a hard pass(hell no) for me. On a positive note, I can recommend a really good movie that involves Formula 1 and that is the 2013 movie *Rush* with Chris Hemsworth and Daniel Brühl. It's about the rivalry between two drivers back in the 1970s, James Hunt(Hemsworth) and Niki Lauda(Brühl). Very well made and directed by Ron Howard, if you ever get a chance give it a watch. Awesome vid, Jeff. I don't know if the price tag is worth it on this one, however. 🤘🏻🤘🏻🎮🔥
Your dedication to making the most in-depth content possible as well as for clearing these insane challenges is as astoundingly impressive as ever. I appreciate and admire that work ethic a ton. This seems like such a brutal game. I've never been any good at the simulator type games and this looks especially unforgiving. To keep barreling on attempt after attempt for the sake of making the best video you can needs to be applauded. You've done such excellent work!
You’re the man, Dog Eyes! I appreciate you watching this and getting into the challenge with me… I’ve been thinking, maybe it’s time I go for a dang sculptors cut to use for a review and then list it for sale again… seems like there’s some potential there, although I’ve heard it sucks
@@MarMaxGaming You're very welcome! It's easy to get into these challenges since you make the videos so engaging. There is definitely a big story behind the Sculptor's Cut. Admittedly I didn't know about it until I looked into the game after you brought it up. I do recall renting the original version as a kid however I don't remember much about it. I just remember the game having Earthworm Jim in it and it being kind of scary looking. Probably not as scary as the prices though. It would absolutely make for an ambitious pursuit and an extremely interesting video.
The "Europe" Track is the Nürburgring in Germany and the Flag is from Luxembourg. When F1 returned to the Nürburgring in the mid 90`s the called it the "Grand Prix of Europe" and for a short time (IIRC 2 or 3 years) it was the "Luxembourg Grand Prix" before going back to the "Grand Prix of Europe". Games generally showed the EU Flag for the European Grand Prix and the Luxembourg Flag only in the few cases the game was for one of the Seasons where it was that Grand Prix, so it´s odd that this games mixes both. Most games would show the name of the Track with the countries Flag though (i.e. Catalunya for Spain, Suzuka for Japan etc.)
i still have the PS1 & N64 pal versions. I've been collecting F1 games for years so I got both versions when it came out. because of the slightly strange N64 graphics it's one of the few games to give me motion sickness. there are some odd F1 games that are crazy prices now - seems to be games caught at the cross over from generations.
@MarMax Gaming ya I probably still have it at my parents house somewhere. It was fun tho. I just downloaded it onto my firesticks n64 collection after this video reminded me of it
When I looked at your sub and view counts I expected to see much larger numbers. You're an amazing creator putting out videos of the quality I would expect from snesdrunk or avg or one of the big retro reviewers. Keep at it and you'll blow up my dude👌🏻
I admire your dedication man, this looks absolutely brutal lol I’m sure I would have quit after the first set of tracks. Then again I’m really not big on simulation racers. Especially for the 64, which has so many awesome arcade racers to choose from. So, now that we’ve determined that it’s expensive but not very good, the question becomes, do you keep it or sell it? 😆
I appreciate it man! The way it came about was a surprising chance to get it for $250 in a group, and I actually already sold it. I shipped after footage, as I was still editing the video.. looking forward to moving onto the next!
my brothers n i would throw this on over the weekend and just take turns doing runs beat the arcade mode n took that shit to gamestop to swap for another game
@@iquemedia oh dang! Yeah well then you know how tough it gets to learn manual and then keep getting better in the veteran, champ, and master page… haven’t covered Turok yet but I know it’ll be epic when we do!
@@MarMaxGaming woooord 🤙 I was never good enough to get past the 3rd tier races but my brother went on to 100% GRID on x360 because he's cracked at racing games lol
sorry but that graphic, for this time, for a racing game it was impresive! you don't even talk how much realistic it is to break and loose part in a game from that time!..
I would argue that F-1 World Grand Prix looked significantly better, also on the N64. But I did not say they were bad graphics. The simulator is something that would’ve been cool to see more of if they didn’t make races like 7-12 minutes long. They had cool features in the simulation that I was only able to share a bit of, but most importantly I appreciate you watching.
If this arcade mode actually took arcade quarters, that would be so sad. Seems like a really brutal game, but for simulation racing on the 64 seems surprisingly ok. It felt good to know you went back to that first course to avenge the original 90 minutes 6th or better with a first try 1st.
see where we looked up completed listings and average price? Yes, it’s rare because it wasn’t produced here and it’s NTSC copies barely show up at all.
RAD! I see what you did there.
That was a fun time on Cruisin' USA
Great detail and video, dude.
Thanks dude :) I appreciate you!

Correction: I also liked Super Sprint, that was a fun top down F1 racer.

4:11 ANSWER ITS FORMULA 1 THE HARDEST Racing class in the word to even get a drive for and even be good at
Exactly, said it probably comes with the F-1 Racing territory… was at least a rewarding game to get through
Good video man sounds like some Karl Jobst

This game was hard as fuck. But most Sims are gp racing or whatever that motorcycle game that's out now is just as hard as I remember this being lol
Played this one back in the day??

I think “Europe” was “Luxembourg GP” based on the course layout. 🤔
❤

How many controller pak pages does this game use?
I can’t remember, but it wasn’t a crazy amount! I didn’t have to clear anything
But run on 60hz or Pal hz (50)? Thanks
This was on NTSC, so that should be 60.
Play the F-1 game that was on genisis. Cover had a man with a moustache on it.
