    Thank you, I just ordered one today be fore I saw this. One of my DENO MCX8000 is starting to freeze up using Serato but not on Virtual DJ, and yeah I've tried everything to fix it we me being a sound engineer, cables, updates etc. I have two others and their fine BUT all are heavy, look good but heavy. This 707M has had my eye for a while now and with one of my controllers acting up in my DJ company gave me the excuse to go with a way more portable controller that actually does more. Thanks for a good honest review LOL now I feel great my cash on this 707M coming next week.

    Love the 707m, been using it for about a year. Also wish it had more gain on the the front 1/4, 1/8 inputs but what a great no. Of inputs. It was definitely designed for mobiles. I also have the Rane One and Pioneer Ddjsx2

    • @PhearNone7
      @PhearNone7 2 года назад +2

      Yea I have to pump the gain on front for sure. The other controllers you own are great too. I’m looking to get the Denon DJ Prime one stand alone deck as well next.

  • @joshualee5215
    @joshualee5215 Год назад +1

    I have it and its opened up my ability to say “yes” to a lot of requests due to the mobility. I was watching your comparison video vs the Denon and you mentioned the sound card difference. I unfortunately can agree that the sound card is lacking some oomph, especially over bigger soundsystems like the club, I’ve remedied it in that type of situation by bringing a small but quality analog mixer to go through. It kinda defeats some of the mobility but can’t win them all, still such a solid unit for basically any situation and has some work arounds to it’s drawbacks. Your older reviews helped me press go on getting one a couple years ago! 🙏

      Whenever I use Serato and I have to bring my own gear I use the 707m still. I have been using my Prime Go alot more because I have have been doing short 2 hour gigs a lot lately. The biggest con to the 707m is its age really, not many updates from Roland on it but the flip side is it still works like it always has for me. Hope that helps

      @@djmickeyTV Hey so the sound is good on the 707m, I have heard louder sound cards in other decks however this controller sound is still good for a pro setting. AS far as the jog wheels they are just small free spinning jog wheels. no real pullback feel like cdjs. They move fast and loose enough to do some casual scratching on static jog wheels but they are not going to give you feedback like a Hercules T7 or any resistance like jog wheels. Hope that helps

    • @PhearNoneGearGadgets
      @PhearNoneGearGadgets  3 года назад +4

      The 707M is waaaaay more compact than the 808 . The 707 is made for controlling the music in different rooms or "Zones". The 707M is also made more for running mics and or instruments through. Other than the 808 being bigger you can actually produce and sequence tracks or beats on it the drum patterns on the 707M are more baked in and you can't really alter them as much. hope this helps

For example how you backup equipment, and talking annoying sound speaker sound from 707, when it setup wrong. No one else metioned this in any other video! Haha I watched nearly all of them! :D I haven't found one video for 707 with stems. Raven four is just to big to carry on flight or coach. That why 707 interest me more. The 707m has been my main controller for gigs since my 1000 srt is stationed at the bar i resident at, have used the 707m in all situations and it’s been a horse for the last year, the mc6000 is actually heavier than the 707m I have one of those sitting in my house as it’s been retired. But can’t say enough about the 707 the only gripe I have is the mic inputs, u need to always tune the settings or mics will run hot and distort cause of the quality inputs they used.

    • @PhearNone7

      I feel the sound card is professional in the board. However I do feel that u need to start at 12 o’clock because the sound is low between 0 to about 4 on the board. I assume that’s because it can be plugged into a loud house system. I have used it in some pretty big venues. That’s for the feedback.

    • @PhearNoneGearGadgets
      @PhearNoneGearGadgets  Год назад +1

      Well better subjective. It depends what you need the deck for as a DJ. The Roland 707m is unique because it can control 3 different zones. meaning you can have speakers set up in another room and control them separate from the main room. You can save eq settings that you have made for different venues that you might frequently perform in or residencies. The 707 also has a roland drum machine and an oscillator baked in for live remixes and sound efx, The Numark has bigger better platters and the digital screen in the middle of the platter. they are better for scratching and juggling. The Numark has longer pitch throw too. Not sure which sound card is stronger
