@@Cameron39829 to be honest it does look like a ce reskin which it was at first but obviously when they changed the damage they had to appease the wrath of the halo lore buffs and made it a new variant
sorensic, You have some of the BEST halo Arma videos i've ever seen mate. Especially this one. The premise and execution of this particular scenario of being stranded and waiting for rescue was epic. The touch of having injured men from the get go of surviving the pods crash landing was great.

Hard to do this type of thing with AI. They're unpredictable and unreliable. Having players do it is 100x easier

Odd that you all say "Sangheili" instead of "Elites". I mean it's fine because it's still correct, but saying the proper name in the heat of battle seems... cumbersome, If you know what I mean. Sure it's only an extra syllable but not even the Marines in the actual Halo games do that. Just found it strange.
It's not cumbersome. You're just used to hearing "elites" from the games.
Same for the 501st saying LAAT instead of Gunship. Eventually you just start saying it

@@space3817 This video seems exactly like the op you are describing. They're ship exploded, they landed in drop pods, and they had to regroup and fight off a lot of Innies and Covenant. When you're ship is about to explode, you don't have time to grab all of your gear. So if anything, Battle Royal modes feel like this kind of situation, when you couldn't grab your gear and you need to scavenge off your enemies.

@@space3817 Well it definitely feels like they were escaping a crashed ship and being overwhelmed by enemies. If you think about it, a battle royale is pretty much the same situation. If they did it again it would be pretty much the same thing. What made it feel more like a battle royale to you?

The CO and the COC were shit, inconsistent and slow. As well as some of the Marines didn't listen. Cool op but personnel fucked over hard

In the very least elites gotta be able to move a lot faster than that. They were too comparable in speed with humans. Also from what it looked like they were able to shoot the energy shield with jus put several bullets. It seemed like he killed a major with just several shots. That shouldn't have happened. Maybe with a minor, but really not even then. It should take like 4 bursts for minors and more than that for majors.. Also, to offset that kind of advantage the pre should be less elites and focus on modeling grunts for numbers. While allowing maybe several minors and a few majors. Make elites players and that would keep them from being due to ai wonkiness.
With such awkwardness inaccuracy they should have gone with spec op elites. Damage threshold would be a bit more sensible here. But they absolutely would have to be played by players with a much more predator type of gameplay.
They're doing it for gameplay. Personal shields don't exist and Firct Contact has barely been touched by the OPTRE mod team. It's a fan service side project where they basically put zero attention. Having it take a full magazine or two to kill one enemy, especially in an op like this is extremely unfair and unplayable. Making AI move faster without being in a vehicle is difficult, and I doubt they'd take the time to do it. I also doubt we'll ever see Grunts because they're so damn small. The hitbox would be inconsistent
