- After sitting for over 10 years, let's take this 1986 Nissan 720 ST pickup truck on it's first drive. This nasty mouse & mold infested truck is back on the streets again....this was the worst truck I have ever cleaned.

Can’t beat those old Nissans especially with that z24 engine.
its basically a big L-series motor with a crossflow head on it.
I had a '82 model ....damn thing was incredible. I couldn't kill it... I gave it to a friend who drove it to Mesa AR and totalled it in front of the dealership it was originally sold at....small world...🤔
This is a fantastic save, congratulations. Definitely worth all the work you and your family put in. It's such an 80s truck, a bit flashy but very cool. 😊👍

didn't the STs have the Z24i engine? does yours still have the dookie jump seats in the rear?
What went wrong there....
First the wheels inflated...all 4
the wheels turned all 4
you didnt have to dig it out and cut trees/foliage out
You loaded it up on a trailer and was gone pretty easily
you cleaned it.
you replaced and cleaned engine compartments*removed fuel/new battery/airfilter....
TURNED the key, and it started/ran/and is idling....
WOW, I think that was about the best out come.

its just some stickers and some doodads and the throttle body fuel system- everything else is just 720-ish.
love to see those 720s rescued and back to life i been rescued more than one the last one was an 83 Z24 im working on it replaced manny parts but drives smoth now.

i don't know if i would call the 80s 'the good old days' but they sure were a lot of fun. my 'good old days' would be the 60s or 70s.
Why i like those old Nissan, Hondas, and Toyotas, also my gramps old mazda just like that had alot of miles on it though.
remember how those old RX-3s or rotary pickups would scream going down the road?
The mous-age have been looking after it 😂 just waiting for you to come and save it. Seee mice watch you tube too . Another great video . On the subject of mice please take care with all that dry dust mouse-age as I’m sure thee is some weird Rodent disease you can contract . Wear a face mask etc and gloves . Now I’m sounding like your mother 👵 but seriously take care .

Excellent video & find Jason and amazing all vechiles finding especially old classic trucks too that nice shape ! Not jealous and surprised all ones find in good condition too! My uncle John tell reliable Z24 motor are and transmission plus axle are Jason and he had 1984 Toyota small pickup had back then and plus 1994 Toyota T100 Sport with 2.4 4 cylinder with 4 spark plugs , 5 speed Manual transmission and 377 rear gears still has and California type one bought at Toyota dealership in Ontario Canada in 2004 used with 25.000 miles but got more since then!
Look Jase,the tach gauge,temp gauge,power steering,brakes,ac,etc working are all fine and dandy bruh,but wtf about the clock?!?!?! If it doesn't work we hafta rid ourselves of the vehicle dontcha know eh.. js..😅
clocks are overrated and battery-killers- get yourself a timex
Keep this one, 720s are freakin great little trucks, and this fully loaded one wasn't very common even when new! There is a whole lot more curb appeal with this than any frontier, and it honestly can do just as much. I used to tow cars with my 720, it may only have 100hp but it also weighs about 1000lb less than a Frontier, so honestly the performance isnt much different.
From one Mass resident to another (I think?) - This truck is frickin sweet as heck! I’d love to have that thing. I just don’t know where I could hide it… hmmm

Hi I drive and work on a 5/86 Japanese D21 with Z24i I love the truck and hope yours is doing well.
the 86 and a half hardbody was a game-changer for nissan. my customers loved their hardbodys. a much-better off-roader than the 720s were.

they were okay, but the fuel system sucked with that feedback carburetor. the Z24i got rid of that bullshit.

My friends dad had some sort of old 1990/1991 Nissan Pickup for a while that would never seem to die. In great shape too. Ran until the car fell into two pieces. The old Nissan and Toyota Pickups never seemed to die, in fact neighbors have an old early Tacoma Toyota pickup from the 1990's that still has the other badging from the other model that Toyota used to make, the same Truck as in Toy Story from 1995. That vehicle is probably going to be still running until after the majority of the world switches to other fuels and EV.
22RE was a good motor- avoid any of the early toy V6s- they had serious head gasket problems
At least u can fix that without a ruddy lap top being plugged in to it 😂👍

I replaced a motor in a B-210 Datsun from a junk yard , and saved money on gas , //we drive it every place , we used the Datsun B- 210
those were great cars- a very popular 'hottie' car back in the 70s

Thats an oem denso air filter that tells you a lot about any vehicle....it was properly maintained
no- denso would be aftermarket regarding any nissan vehicle- nissan never used denso or nippondenso parts in their vehicles. in fact- thats practically a dirty word around any nissan parts or service department.

you have to have oil in the crankcase in order for that to happen...

Cap and Rotor on these is expensive. Water pump is a bitch to do, Wanna bet the passenger side plugs are OEM, BUT clean it up and get it back to work they were great on gas but not too fast
a tiny piece of 320 wetordry will do the trick and those are cheap. the water pumps are a snap on 2WD- isn't this a 2WD? if youre gonna whine about having to take out the radiator youre not a real wrench.

Never once did he check oil pressure with coil disconnected prior to starting run,Never have I seen Jen in the last years videos,thunkin she ran off with a double kidney Beemer driver,or a raggedy old Benz,or even a poor shay owner and left the lesser engineered Dub guy behind since he didn't get her that baby blue vert big 5 bug he promised her.... js.. I have a 1984 Nissan 720 z24 pickup with a manual transmission sitting in my garage. Not driving it, but it starts up every time I crank her. I am looking to sell it, but don't know what to ask for it.
