Glad you like the content! Thanks for your support. Yea, I couldn’t justify the cost for a brand new pedal from Eastwood so I wasn’t losing anything except my time with trying to figure out why it didn’t work properly and just replace defective pieces.
All less expensive Chinese welders and plasma cutters use that connector. It’s a pretty common one. I must have two dozen with various numbers of pins in a draw. The connector is actually perfectly fine. It’s just low amperage, low voltage. Now we know why it was returned. Bad footswitch control.
You can buy a completely new foot pedal from Eastwood for about $150. I did a bit deeper of a diagnosis and found what part of the foot pedal failed (potentiometer was bad in it) and contacted Eastwood to see if they would sell me just that piece. They did and I replaced it on my own. Part only cost about $6 and took about 30 minutes to fix.
Yea it’s done well so far. I only have maybe 3 hours total of using it but besides the foot pedal issue that I had with this one particularly, it’s great right out of the box. For the price I paid, it was well worth it in my opinion.
One of my new favorite channels! Pretty smart diagnosing the pedal 👍🏻

Is the finger switch just and on/off switch or does it toggle your amps like a pedal would?
It’s just an on/off switch.
